Winter is coming—and unfortunately it's bringing Christmas with it.

I loathe the holiday. I hate holiday parties, fragrant decorations, and hokey movies. If I had my way it would be winter all year round and never Christmas.

Nothing burns like the cold—except a hot oven.

That's right; against my better judgement I agreed to let The Great Christmas Bake-Off fi

Over the top ridiculous. Without a doubt a guilty pleasure read.

However even this was borderline too much insanity for me. I’m teetering on a 2.5 rating and 3. I have no idea what to give it. Just crazy.

3.5 ⭐️

Holly is a Christmas-loving baker who is dependent on winning The Great Christmas Bake-off competition in order to pay all of her debts and jumpstart her career. However, she meets billionaire and CEO of a tech company, Owen, who is also a judge for the competition. Despite their differences, they develop an undeniable attraction to each other, and despite the obstacles, will love and Christmas cheer prevail?

Tbh, this started off strong for me. I absolutely loved the writing style, the de

I just loved this book. This is a delightful holiday rom-com that will make you smile, laugh and melt your heart. I really enjoyed Owen and Holly's story. These opposites generate lots of sparks and clever banter as they clash together. The storyline is fun, cute, and filled with holiday charm. Drama, humor and plenty of emotions and steam will keep you entertained and immersed in this wonderful read. I am posting a independent, impartial review. ...more

To thoroughly enjoy a work of fiction, especially something like romantic comedy, you have to be willing to go along with the story, no matter how outlandish or how unlikely it would be in real life. I just couldn’t do that with this book.
A lot of my issues stem with the contests in which Holly and Owen find themselves. I thought the TechBiz competition was a bit inane. Yes, I understand corporate culture is important, but really? And why is a Christmas party valued more highly over the everyda

Wow this story is full of drama.

A light-hearted witty novel. This is a fun, witty, entertaining story that I didn't want to put down. It is a setting that would be close to many people's heart, as 'Bake-off' TV series is popular in many countries. The characters of Holly and Owen are well developed, described and provide us with pages after pages of character-appropriate, witty, action-packed dialogue. Not to mention that their connection is hot, hot and steamy hot. So is their language for that matter. It was a great idea to ...more

Cheesy, lighthearted fun

I was looking for something light to read while doing Christmas tasks and Amazon surfaced this. At first, I thought it was too cringey to keep reading. But eventually I found the characters so compelling that I surprised myself by finishing it. It would have been such a better book without all the 'eating my cookies' references. Only a 12 year-old would find that funny, especially when it's repeated in virtually every chapter. It made the lead characters seem like dimwit

Who knew there were that many Christmas-themed innuendos that could be made? I didn’t. But I sure as heck laughed my butt off over them. Owen and Holly’s story shares several elements with that of his brother Jack and Chloe. Some of that is because both of them are set against a backdrop of The Great Christmas Bake-Off and they share a lot of the same cast of crazy family members, friends, and frenemies. All similarities in the plot lines aside, the book made me laugh so hard I had trouble breat ...more

Ok. If you’re going to write a romantic comedy (rom-com) perhaps you should warn your reader that the sex is more like soft porn. I mean, turn on the A/C and grab a glass of ice water…

Alina Jacobs Christmas rom-com starts out full of secual innuendo, but the relationship between Holly and Owen could cause the baker’s cookies to catch fire. Throw in a Christmas dessert bake-off, an evil step-sister, a Husky named Rudolph, and you’ve got a rom-com worth reading on a snowy afternoon. This supportin

Jacob's is one of my all time favorite authors. She is able to mix the sweet and steamy of romance to perfection and then adds humor to make it even better! This is Holly and Owen's story where a Christmas fanatic meets a rich and handsome Christmas scrooge. unfortunately instead of the three Christmas spirits following him he has three crazy women to contend with and that's just the beginning. Holly has her share of woes but her Christmas cheer will not be dampened. An incredible holiday themed ...more

I love this book! If you like romantic comedy then you will love it too. There is this grinchy hot billionaire and a curvy hot baker. Both come with family baggage. Add in a Christmas Bake-Off, a stalker or two and an adorable husky puppy to complete the package. There are so many laugh out loud moments. And plenty of hot steamy moments. And enough Christmas desserts to have you salivating. I did read this as an ARC for my honest review. After I had already pre-ordered, lol. But please do read t ...more

Holly loves everything Christmas, Owen, not so much. Holly has a plan to win the great Christmas bake off to pay off her debts. Owen needs to improve his standing with his employees. Owen is judging the bake off and he and Holly just seem to be meant to run into each other. Of course there are scheming women and crazy family members that try to get in the way. If you have read any of the other Alina Jacobs books then you’ll love this one just as much. You don’t have to read the others to underst ...more

Delightful holiday rom-com where opposites come together and generate steam. Holly loves the holidays and baking. She’s determined to win so she can open her own bakery. Owen Frost dislikes the holidays and has no problem letting everyone know it. Holly is struggling financially and Owens a billionaire. Sparks fly between these opposites but the story makes you smile and laugh. I received a complementary copy of this book via Booksprout and chose to write a review. I look forward to reading futu ...more

I love this story just like I enjoyed the first Christmas story with Jack and Chloe. There are some really funny parts, many steamy parts, romantic parts, and a little drama. As usual I love reading about the other characters from the previous books, that’s always fun to me and I’m looking forward to some of the other characters books coming up that I have to read yet. The one thing I will say is there are alot of parts that are very similar to the first Frost book but I still really enjoyed thi ...more

Owen and Holly are fun and sexy!!
Frost Brothers #2. This is my first Frost Brothers story so now I definitely have to go back and read the other. Another Alina Jacob's story that is fun, sexy, full of quirky riotous characters. Just the right amount of crazy for the funny and just the right amount of sexy for the sensual. Owen and Holly are another 'it' couple that I hope to see bits of in future stories. Keep these coming! I'm hooked.

Such a fun, cute and steamy Christmas read. I loved these characters - Jacobs does a great job bringing Holly and Owen to life and the secondary characters bring so much life and fun drama to the table too! Innuendos for days - and I love, love, loved them! The perfect balance of humor and steam! A wonderful holiday read for anyone who loves romance novels!

Couldn’t finish

I’ve tried several books by this author and I just can’t get into them. She jumps from one activity to the next in 2 sentences. It’s hard to follow at times. Also, the characters don’t really mesh. Their personalities are a bit disjointed. There’s the struggling baker you get to know and then she turns into a dirty talking minx. I saw the conflict a mile away and wasn’t interested in finishing.

Loved this book

First time reading this author, loved this book! Quirky and sweet FMC with a stubborn, sexy, grumpy man. Now I have to go find the rest of the series, my only complaint is that it’s not listed as a series, and as I was reading I started wondering if the other taken girls already had a story, some of them do, so if you haven’t read those I’m guessing you should for the fun like I’m going to do.

The book is well written and funny, I think it is a three stars because is so similar to the previous book of the Frost brothers, I do not recommend reading them closely because this one will get boring (which was my case). Alina is a great writer, but she should have written it different form the other, it seems the same book at some time. Also I did not loved the characters, yes the friends but again: it seems the same book as Eating his Christmas cookies.
I liked this book but maybe not as much as the first one. I really liked the characters in the first one and the development of their relationship more but Owen and Holly were a good follow up. I look forward to reading about more of the Frost siblings, especially the older sister.

This book has Christmas, a baking competition, family drama, a Christmas hating billionaire, and an adorable puppy. What more could anyone ask for?

Another great Christmas book

This was a good book. At times it mimicked the first book but then blew out to its own story. Loved those crazy whacko parents and the woman they wanted for their sons. The cupcake fight in the garage was soooo funny. Hmmm, I wonder if all the whacky stuff that happens in the show really happens on the real TV shows :). Thanks for a good book. Written by Cindy :)

I recieved the audio as an ARC to review.

I already read this book and loved it. The audio just made the story even better. I could listen to Brian read me a phone book with his deep voice.

I'd you read the last book or any by Jacobs this one is just as fun. The men are sexy and grumpy and fall hard for their lady. And Holly was just as cute as ever. I love that the Svennson show up an dcause choas where ever they go.

It was okay

I was really pumped to see there was a sequel to Eating. I liked the premise of Owen and Holly’s story. It was different enough from Chloe and Jack to be interesting, but it was also comfortably predictable. I was taken aback by how suddenly and how much the storyline focused on Holly’s sexy outfits and the sex she and Owen had. This was very different from the first book. But the characters and plot were strong enough to carry me through to the end.

I absolutely LOVED Owen and Holly. In typical Alina fashion, she pits a hero and heroine on opposite sides of a holiday. Owen despises all things Christmas and doesn't understand why his investors want him to play nice. Can't he run his business in peace? Holly is competing in the bake-off and can't figure out the surely judge who clearly doesn't like Christmas or desserts. Who in their right mind doesn't like either??? Watching these two dance around each other was entertaining. Owen can't figu ...more

Every time I read one of Alina's books, I end up struggling to not laugh out loud. I also end up with a craving for sweets. Full of funny moments featuring a billionaire CEO, Owen, judging a Christmas bake off show. Holly is taking part and he finds her more attractive than her baked goods despite him hating Christmas and her loving it. Throw in a cute puppy, some other quirky characters plus a reconnection with some of the Svensson brothers and this makes for a really entertaining read.
