It's phenomenal how the scholars concentrate on learning and reflecting upon the knowledge. How delightful would that person be in the company of Imam Ahmad (rahimahu'Allah) and how blessed, to have him put a glass of water for him so that he drinks it on waking up for qiyam'al Layl. The diversity of such gatherings remains deficient in this time but wherever they still happen, how enlightening would that gathering be, to have an Ustaad blissfully teaching what is in the Qura'n and Sunnah. I come across glimpses of lectures on youtube and instagram that are given in madinah where a handful of students gather around this one sheikh and i can feel the happiness of that mini classroom full of Allah's barakah and blessings. ** Some beautiful things that were worth noting in this book were, how the word STRIVE is used instead of just saying "you should memorise... ". It's written "Strive to memorise whatever is easy from the authentic sunnah, to concentrate and remain steadfast, to learn the qawa'id and usūl" It denotes how important is the matter of seeking knowledge that one should strive for, not take some time from the daily schedule and pull out whatever is easy and settling one's time schedule BUT Strive to study, reflect upon and memorize from The Quran and sunnah. **
Short, concise read and covers fundamentals of any Muslim seeking knowledge, how they should do so and recommended elements to maintain consistency. Very good and would hence recommend to all !
