When the tent circus unexpectedly pulls into little Beechville, Wisconsin, absolutely nobody could be more excited than Finnigan the Circus Cat and his two "circus mouse" pals Leroy and Maximillian!

All three are still living "under the radar" in the small but charming Farnsworth Circus Museum--Leroy and Max because they're mice, of course, and Finnigan because he's still

Finnigan the Lionhearted by Mary T. Wagner brings the adventure of attending a circus for the first time through the eyes of a little mouse, Maximillian. Max and his cousin, Leroy, grew up in the Farnsworth Circus Museum. When a circus comes to town the mice and their friends, Finnigan the cat and Boomer the dog, take a trip across town to see the magical wonders of the circus. Max and Leroy love it all, but making a friend in Tiny the elephant definitely was amazing. Finnigan has always been fa ...more

A cute story for young children. The entire story highlights Finnigans courageous acts. However, when he shines the brightest is when he is lurking in the shadows. With his two pals, Max and Leroy, by his side, Finnigan goes on the adventure of a lifetime.

I want to start this one off by saying I do not normally read/review children’s books but when this one was presented to me, I could not pass it up. This charming story told through the eyes of a small mouse named Maximillian is perfect for readers young, old and in between and I enjoyed this so much more than I ever expected.

When a circus comes to town, Max and his friends cannot resist going to explore all the wonder it has to offer. Max, Leroy, Finnigan and Boomer set off on a grand adventure

Sometimes the biggest hearts come in the smallest packages! Welcome to the third Finnigan the Circus Cat book, inspired by both a real-life rescue kitten in the family and my daughter who is a circus aerialist.

If one of the underlying "messages" of the first book was that loving families can come in all shapes and sizes, and the second was not to judge a book (or a decrepit circus wagon) by its cover, this third one resonates with notes of grace and courage, and hope and joy and generosity as F

Mary T. Wagner’s Finnigan the Lionhearted is a charming tale perfect for children of all ages, even the young at heart.

This book is a marvelous trip down memory lane for anyone who remembers going to the circus as a child—and a most authentic introduction to the magic of the circus for those too young to have ever experienced it. The descriptions are so vivid you can almost hear the Ringmaster’s baritone voice announcing “Ladies and Gentlemen” with such power that it wil

"It's never too late to make mid-course corrections!" That's the mantra of Wisconsin author and photographer Mary T. Wagner, who has been described as the Midwest's answer to Carrie Bradshaw and favorably compared to humorist Erma Bombeck...but "in sexier shoes."

Wagner is a former newspaper and magazine journalist who changed careers at forty after a serious accident, going to law school and then
