Being a dog walker to famous movie star, Josh Murphy was supposed to be an easy gig—a few hours a day and a quick paycheck.
I had no idea what I was in for. Josh is demanding, intense, grumpy… and also the sexiest man I’ve ever seen.
And once that sexy scowl of his is directed at me, I see so much more to it simmering below the surface. I see the intense heat, desire, and even… tenderness.
Tenderness? That can’t be right. Alpha-holes aren’t tender… are they?
Katana Collins is a USA Today bestselling author of over twenty novels, novellas, and comic books in a variety of genres. She is most known for her sensual contemporary romances and her wildly popular comic book— Batman White Knight Presents: Harley Quinn with DC Comics.
When she was younger and stole her mother’s Harlequins to read beneath the covers with a flashlight, she wanted to read about the tough as nails heroine. The perfectly imperfect girl with quirks and attitude and sass. And the anti-heroes who were anything but “Prince Charming.” Forget the knight on a white horse … she wanted the bad boy on a motorcycle.
An avid animal lover, she lives in Portland, Maine with her kind of mean cat, derpy lab-pitt mix, mellow chihuahua, and very not mellow cairn terrier puppy. Oh, yeah… there’s a husband somewhere in that mix, too.
She can usually be found in a coffee shop with her nose buried in a laptop wearing fabulous (albeit sometimes impractical) shoes.
She loves connecting with book lovers like herself, and fellow sassy storytellers, so feel free to drop her an email, visit her on her website. She also loves connecting on Instagram, Facebook or in her reader group, Kat’s Kittens!
This short and SEXY, age gap romance was a perfect little tidbit in between my other reads.
Josh is an actor, Chelsea is his new dog walker. He thinks she’s sexy as hell. She thinks he’s HOT and wants him. Neither one makes a move.
Then one day she sees something through his trailer window and
It. Is. On.
This was a quick & delicious read about one of four brothers who are reality TV stars. In a short time, the author did a fantastic job at making me fall for Josh & Chelsea. Their story has humor, heart, and plenty of steam. And also a psycho-stalker fan. Low on the angst, high on the heat!
A very cute Hollywood love story -- an actor in his 30s and his dogwalker, who is more than 10 years his junior. Recommended if you love steam and spice!
Being an actor can not be easy, but being the one to love them and be in the public eye has to be no walk in the park. For Chelsea, it was even worse because it already happened to her once already with not a good outcome.
Chelsea's last boyfriend was on the fringe of the music industry. Even with her on tour with him, her giving up her dreams to do so, she still had been cheated on. Walking in on him kissing the female drummer in his band, taught her fame turns people. Your friends are fickled. They want to be your friend until choosing. It's all about the one who has the fame for them. The one who is heading towards fame, who wins.
She is now back on the right path. Working toward her dream. However, she still needs to get a part-time gig. Something to keep her afloat, while she completes her course. Her best friend, Tula gives her the old job she had, caring for TV and movie star, Josh Murphy’s dog, Cola. She’s warned, “Out of the famous Wright Bro. who are all-stars in their own right. He is the one who is moody and hard to please, out of all the brothers. He is always brooding about something.”
So, when beautiful, sexy, and bubbly Chelsea walks into his trailer she can add rude and obnoxious to the list. She’s only two minutes in. Yup! A cute fast read. The characters are polar opposites in every way but they are so good together. The author really makes them work.
This novella is a great choice when you don't want something too deep but you still want something well written and enjoyable.
It started out rocky for me because I felt like the most important part of the story was glossed over, which is the hero and heroine getting to know each other. There's instalust and then, all of a sudden, we are told the hero is in love after spending more time with the heroine over a two week period. I would have preferred more scenes that showed the feelings developing between the hero and the heroine.
As the story progressed though, I began to feel the connection more between the hero and the heroine.
Also, the major conflict of this story entertained me so much that it bumped my rating of this novella from a 3 to a 4. I don't want to ruin it for anyone, but let's just say I was amused by the hero's stall tactics when waiting for his security team to help him out with a situation and then even more amused by his comment to his team about what his next tactic was going to be if they hadn't finally shown up.
Overall, a solid read when you want something quick, but entertaining.

This is the first book I have read from this author and I have to say, for a short story, this was a good read. The characters were realistic as well as the storyline.
Josh is a movie star who can have any woman he wants and he knows it. He comes across as a demanding, uncaring person at first. Chelsea seems to be the girl next door, beautiful, smart and loves animals. Once Josh sets his eyes on Chelsea, he is immediately taken by her as Chelsea is immediately taken by him.
Chelsea starts to see another side to Josh but still worries about his lifestyle and if she could even fit in. This story is filled with drama, passion and romance. I cannot wait to read books from Katana Collins.

Chelsea Griffin is the dog walker for Josh Murphy, while he and his brothers film their TV show. She’s 10 years younger than Josh, but they are definitely attracted to each other. Neither one acts on it, however, until one day when Chelsea arrives early... Concurrently, Josh is getting unwanted photos and fan mail from someone who seems to be stalking him. It’s left on a superficial level, and isn’t a major part of the story, but it does cause issues. Chelsea has a few confidence issues herself, but she gradually figures things out.
The pet in this novella is named Cola, and she does play an important role in this story. These characters are likable and fun to read, but this is a quick read, so the details are not fully fleshed out. It’s still a fun and delightful story that will leave the reader feeling happy.
Katana Collins kicks off her Rescue Me series with Her Alpha Dog, a positively super cute and ultra steamy instalove romance. When grumpy but swoon-worthy TV star Josh Murphy's new dog walker first walks into his trailer, he is (almost) instantly smitten. Chelsea Griffin, a young, beautiful and intelligent woman working towards getting her real estate license and walking dogs for her friend to make ends meet, cannot deny her own attraction. The chemistry between Josh and Chelsea is off the charts, and together they burn up the pages. Throw in Josh's entertaining brothers, a delusional fan, and the cuteness that is Cola, and Ms Collins has delivered a highly enjoyable instalove romance you cannot put down.

Her Alpha Dog is the first story in Katana Collins` Rescue Me series and an entertaining and fun read. The author did a wonderful job in developing a credible relationship in such a short novella, making it more than just a lust filled, instalove story. And who doesn’t love a cute and energetic pooch? Cola the Husky plays an important role in this story and is pivotal in bringing these two engaging characters together. I would have liked a resolution around Josh’s stalker, but overall, it was a fun and enjoyable read.

Although I'm not on board with the dog's name and its meaning in spanish, this book was pretty ok. It was a nice way to spend a little while reading. It was short and sweet and insta-love, but it was good to make you feel better and forget about your problems for a bit. This was my first book by this author and I don't know if I'd read another one, but based on this one I might consider it.
While Chelsea was just supposed to be there to walk his dog, Josh can't help but want more from her than the professional distance they should keep. The first time they saw each other, they knew it was love at first sight, but can they take the chance on each other?
This story is about a new dog walker that will be working for a movie and tv star. He is instantly attracted and so is she, but her concerns about his famous life and her not being good enough might stop her from loving him.
I loved this book. It was the perfect mix of sweet, hot and a cute dog. I can’t resist that combination. I liked the tie in with the tv show being like Impractical Jokers, as I am a fan. The chemistry was there, I liked both characters and this was a great, short story that has everything I want in a long book. Perfectly packed it all in. Great job, highly recommend this book.

A perfect little novella. - Good plot to smut ratio! - Well rounded characters who we do actually get to know a little - amazing for such a short read but Katana managed this. - Small amount of drama so it wasn’t sickly sweet - Insta love/attraction but didn’t jump each other’s bones immediately - the sexual tension built nicely - Age gap was just enough for the H to be justified in him questioning whether they could be together but wasn’t over done - We had a gorgeous husky at the centre of it all! - And to finish it off, the cutest of epilogues ☺️
The only reason it is a 4* read and not 5 is because it’s a novella and they are always too damn short when done as well as this!
A loveable and energetic pup, a grumpy reality TV star, a rabid fan, and insta love are the framework for this delightful low-angst read.
Josh and his brothers have become household names thanks to their prank TV show, but one look at his new dog walker and pranks are the last thing on Josh's mind.
For a novella that seems to take no time at all to read, there are plenty of hades-hot steamy times, lots of laughs, all the feels and loads of fun. It's the perfect read when you don’t have a lot of time but still need a humorous, heartfelt escape.
After reading this book I had to take a little time to compose myself and get my thoughts clear in my head before I put them in a review. Wow this book was amazingly written. Once I started I couldn’t put it down till I was finished. This book has twists and turns you don’t know what’s happening. will they all get there happily ever after or will it all go wrong. To find out what happens go buy the book. You won’t be disappointed I wasn’t.

Chelsea is now the dog walker for the grumpy and gorgeous Josh. His adorable pup is so worth the attitude. Josh and his brother have garnered a t.v. show out of the pranks they pull and they are always coming up with some good ones. Watch out Josh you may competition for the beautiful Chelsea. With the show in full swing Josh's attention is split between keeping an eye on his new dog walker and what prank is going to be pulled next

This was quick but lovable book. The heroine is a dog walker who is just getting started working with the hero and his dog after his previous dog walker went off to grad school. There is a 12 year age gap between them and they both try to fight their attraction to the other. The hero is super cute when it comes to the heroine, who is kind of a klutz. He makes sure she's okay, is protective, and grumpy all at the same time. The heroine is working through some heartbreak with someone who was also in the "limelight" so to speak. It takes a little bit but they find their HEA together.
This is another sizzling story, spiced with a bit of sarcasm and wit, from Katana Collins.
This is a quick, fun read to get you through a rainy afternoon.
You're quickly drawn into the banter and chemistry between Josh and Chelsea. They're adorable on the page. If you enjoy lighthearted love stories with some sexy steam and sass, this is the series for you.
Katana Collins brings us a new novella series called Rescue Me. In the first stand-alone novel. Her Alpha Dog, Katana introduces us to Josh and Chelsea. If you've read anything by Ms. Collins, you may know that she writes a lot about life in and out of Hollywood. This one features a show being produced by Silhouette Studios, a familiar company if you're not a Katana newby.
As usual, Katana delivers a steamy, short read that will leave you with a smile. Highly recommend.
This is a new to author, but I can't wait to read more! These two are great. I love their connection and how they complement each other so well. I get why she was so hesitant to start something but I love how he worked so hard to win her (without being an overbearing ass) and the epilogue, OMG it was absolutely perfect and I can't wait to read the next book in this series!

This was a cute upbeat short story of a reality star falling for his dog walker. Fun characters that are very relatable to actual life. I liked how each felt the same, but not wanting to admit their feelings. A good twist in throwing a wrench into their plans and not make everything smooth sailing. Great ending for this couple.

Chelsea Griffin is hired as a dog walker for Josh Murphy’s husky named Cola. He and his brothers have a TV show so he is a celebrity – with attitude. Although Chelsea is 10 years younger than Josh, both of them take notice of the other. As they get to know each other better, their interest and attraction get stronger. Chelsea still is unsure whether she wants to be involved with a celebrity. Can Josh convince her that they would be good together?
This was a rather quick read, an enjoyable steamy quick read. That being said, there wasn’t much for character development, there still was some. The plot moved quickly and the characters were likeable. It was a great quick read.
I give this four out of five stars. It is a great quick insta love read. The plot was decent and the characters were likable. I look forward to reading more by this author.

I volunteered to read this ARC for an honest review. I enjoyed this quick story about Chelsea and Josh. He's a tv star, having a reality show with his brothers. She's the dog walker he just hired. There is an instant attraction between them that is undeniable. Cola, his dog, just adds to the mix. Great HEA in the end.

Her Alpha Dog (A Rescue Me Romance) by Katana Collins. Josh and Chelsea have a fun flirty whirlwind romance that will leave you will a smile on your face and pinch in your heart. Enjoyable fast paced story filled with mild drama, personal conflicts, charismatic characters, and of course my favorite the HEA. I would recommend this book to others. Chelsea and Josh were a fun pair! They were from completely different worlds and her job brought them together. She wasn't Josh's usual but the draw toward Chelsea and the chemistry between them was intense! This novella may have been a quick read, but the emotions felt sincere and believable! I was sucked into this story and I hated for it to be over. And I adored Cola! Who doesn't love a pupper in a book?! If you're looking for a sweet and sexy read, then be sure to grab this book!
Cute and sexy quick read about an actor (Josh) and a dog walker (Chelsea) who end up falling for each other when Chelsea takes over for a friend to walk Josh's dog Cola. Loved Cola (cool name), enjoyed the premise of the book on the set of the TV show. Would have liked a but more time with the characters before they hooked it, but overall a cute read.

Chelsea is the new dog walker for Josh, a famous actor and gorgeous male specimen. When Chelsea sees Josh through his trailer window, her inner sexy surfaces and she decides that Josh is going to be hers, if only for one night. Josh is not going to settle for just one night with Chelsea, but he must her that he can have a normal dating life even living in the surreal world of showbusiness. Quick, short, feel good novella.
Katana Collins has delivered and sweet and sexy insta-love story with Her Alpha Dog. In this quick read we are taken on a relationship journey involving Chelsea and Josh, from beginning to end and all of the in between. This author does a fantastic job of delivering a well written story line and characters even though it is a quick read. Can't wait for the other books in this series.
Okay, maybe I should have read this one first, but I wasn't paying attention to chronological order. That said, I really liked this couple. The attraction was obvious from the get go, the dog was adorable, the love scene was smoking, and there was even a little drama. A perfectly crafted little story that I really enjoyed.
This is a fun, quick, and steamy read. Ms Collins has been able to give dimension and substance to the characters of Josh and Chelsea in such a short amount of time. If you’re looking for something to read that is not a long involved story, then you should try this book by Ms Collins and continue with the rest of the family.
Oh my goodness this book was too flipping cute! Plenty of steam and I laughed out loud a couple of times too. Chelsea and Josh aren't as opposite as you'd think given their professions. Their chemistry was off the charts!
