Unfortunately I had a lot of trouble with the author’s writing style. One character would be “talking” - then it would transition to another character (which it would clearly state) - but that character’s part would start, not where the other left off - but somewhere previously in the timeline.
Also it just really bugged me that the cover art does not match the character description (character is described as a blond with curly hair - cover art character has dark straight hair...?!!)

Lovely new series

I enjoyed this story. Let me start with the few things that kept me from giving this a 5 star review...There are a few grammar, punctuation and formatting issues. It didn't really take away from the story for me but I know some people will rip an author for it, so I'm giving those people fair warning. Some of the dialogue felt a little stilted but that could honestly be because of the age of the guys in the story. They come from a different time and As an English professor i guess Leo would talk a bit more formally.

As a curvy woman i identified with the FMC especially with her insecurities when it came to her body and attractive guys. That being said, eventually she needed to realize her own worth and that she was more than just her body type. I wish she could have realized that earlier in the story and worried more about important things that were going on.

I still fully plan on reading the next book. I am enjoying the story and curious to see what happens next for Adora!

My favorite author has done it again!! This is her best book by far. I love the way you fall into the book and feel like you are Adora (the main character) herself. I love the adventure she is beginning with some very hot loving men. It's all about witches, a vampire, an Elf, and a very gorgeous gargoyle! I can't wait for book 2 to come out so I can experience more of Adora's life!

I was fortunate to be a beta reader. Alina hits it out of the park, again. She creates a world and characters that draw you in and become real. Between Gargoyles, Vampires, witches and a curvy sexy woman. It’s all here, and so more. I must admit that this author has made me a fan, even if this is a genre new to me.

I could not get into this book. The writing is terrible and beyond basic. Apparently this author has written before, but I can't see signs of that. This is written as poorly as some of the stories I see kids write. There are repetitive sentences, grammatical errors, and so much useless information that it feels strained.
I got through two chapters by sheer force of will before I decided to just let it go and let this be one of those books I had high hopes for but let me down.

Has Potential

I really wanted to like this book. It had so many things in it that I like, gargoyles, witches, vampires and elves. It has good and evil and unknown magical powers coming to life. It’s also got the promise of it being a Reverse Harem, which is a bonus. Sadly it’s got lots of ‘bits’ to it and those bits don’t necessarily hang together smoothly.

I feel like this book could have benefitted from a different editor. There was lots of promise, the characters were interesting and the world building was quite strong but it just needed all the rough edges smoothing so it all hung together better. The plot was a bit jumpy as it skipped between POV with no warning and those jumps also seemed to skip key bits of plot, when a few sentences would have made things a bit clearer.

I am surprised that this isn’t a first book, because it reads like one, but apparently there are several other books by this author that have been published. As this is the case, I don’t think I’ll try any others in this series, because I can’t see the annoyance from this book being removed in the next one.

Taking in to consideration the editor missed a few things I won't hold it against the author! I love the story it's different and is easy to relate to. I enjoyed the way the characters come to life and come together. I can not wait to see Adora's confidence grow and see how her relationship with the guys go.
Adora is a curvy self-conscious women who learns she's a powerful witch. Her mom made her grandma hide it from her.
Leo is a gargoyle in hiding from well everyone and has a lot if secrets I won't spoil for you.
Sam is a blood fae or born vampire sent to investigate the growing magic in the town.
Roman is least known bit he is an elf. A pointed eared magic user also sent but his people to investigate the magic.
Last is Darius. He's witch same clan as Adrora. He's a childhood friend of hers.
Adora has an attraction to all the guys and nothing serious happens besides kissing in this book just building their relationship and friendship until the end of the book. Making this a slow burn Reverse Harem book.

Entertaining supernatural urban fantasy romance story

This is an entertaining supernatural urban fantasy romance story. With an eclectic cast of characters and an entertaining storyline. Young woman who considers herself a bit on the curvy side and does not think she has what it takes to be happy. Soon finds she is on the radar oh several men. As the story progresses she still starts finding out things about them. Supernatural type things. I will not give any spoilers but well it does go a bit slow in the beginning it gradually start gaining momentum and ends with a bang. As it is the first story and many of the characters need to be flushed out and we learn who and what they are. Personally in my story that I tend to like there has to be a witch. Everything else rotates around that character. Read on and be entertained and I think you will be happy in the end. Check it out

Great idea, needs work

I normally don't leave bad reviews, but this was hard to get through.

I love the idea of the book/series. Curvy girl for the win!

My biggest issue was the writing itself. In the middle of the Dy's discussion about something it would switch to Leo's perspective for a paragraph or two then back to Dy with no warning. One part had Dy off by herself doing something and it switched to Leo his thoughts about how he craved her body and then back to Dy by herself again.

Add in the continuous lack of proof reading, made this book hard to read for me.

At first I thought this might have been a new author but according to reviews, she has multiple series out already.

Unfortunately, while I pushed through this book, I will not continue the series.

Adora The Adorable

Ohh do I love Adora aka Dy our beautiful sassy curvy FMC. And a lucky one she is with a hot Gargoyle and a sexy Vampire, what could possibly go wrong? Oh another dude comes into the picture...that's what!! It's RH after all now isn't it.

Alina continues to grow as an author and I love watching all her characters come to life on the page. A great and interesting story with a lot of real life references, so we're not like in the old ages here with this one, very contemp.

Can't wait to see what our lucky lady gets mixed up in next...bring on Book 2!!

I had a hard time with the author’s writing. The story was interesting but at times difficult to enjoy. The writing would be in the pov of one character and then switch to someone else in the next sentence, without warning. The writing was also quite abrupt; short sentences that read off… too many hard pauses to get a good reading flow.
If you can ignore the writing style then the story itself was fun. I plan to read the next but I’m in no hurry, thus I give this book 3 stars.

Meh

If you are into self loathing, frequent grammatical errors, or misplaced colloquialisms, this book is for you. I feel like with a good edit this book could be good. As this book stands, it’s second rate fan fiction at best.

Eh it was okay. Need editing

Started off well then started to feel like it wasn’t being edited well. Started to make my head hurt. I was ready for it to be over with. Please rewrite and edit it then release again. I like the premise just it needs to be better.

Good

Good read, liked the characters and the storyline. However i know it states that it is a curvy girl rh but her weight was mentioned constantly, which got really annoying.
However their's so much that can happen in this book therefore i can't wait to see what happens next.

Really good story. Slow burn with good characters. You don't know what's going to happen next. Leo is a great character being gargoyle is a refreshing change to normal shifter books. I can't wait to see what happens next.
