Photo-Realism

Rate this book
The Photo-Realists, creators of the most popular movement in American painting to emerge in the 1970s, portray the bright shiny surface of the American Dream in amazingly real paintings. More than 950 remarkable works, including 576 in color, are reproduced for a comprehensive study of the movement's major artists.

Great photo book of artworks by the best photorealists. I used to spend time in Louis and Susan's gallery in SoHo, NYC. I remember seeing these photos in their gallery and although these photos can't capture the magnitude of the originals, they display what great talent these people have. Definitely a great "coffee table" book to be enjoyed by guests as well as an inspiration to see these works of art in person.
