Darcy is back and finally an LAPD officer! Some new faces, but all my favorites are back. Still the same verb, stepping on toes and doing her own thing. She won’t stop until she solves the mystery. Be prepared to stay up all night cause you won’t be able to put this one down!
I feel like I don't get enough Darcy Walker. Although the time between her books releasing isn't all that long, it feels like it's ages between them. I am so glad this author hasn't given up on Darcy. I love her adventures so much. I don't know if I will ever tire of them.

This is the first book in the Darcy Walker Investigations series. Now, it's not the first Darcy Walker book though. Her story starts with Grade A Stupid. She was in high school then. Now, she is all grown up and finally a rookie police officer.
If you're like me, and have been with Darcy since the start, you will love seeing her all grown up. But she's still the same unpredictable Darcy that we have loved for a long time.

I've read all of A.J. Lape's Darcy Walker series. Why they aren't on the best-seller lists, I don't know. Once again, Darcy doesn't disappoint. As an officer on the LAPD, she's still stumbling onto her crime-solving in her cute, witty, determined, attention-deficit-disordered, sometimes lucky, and most of the time, skillful ways. Lape does everything well with incredible dialogue, phenomenal characters, fast-paced action, an intricate mystery plot, emotional angst, and an awesome sense of humor.

I just love everything about this book. I was a bit nervous how the Darcy Walker of old would grow into an adult, but this transition was seamless.
