This author is a complete master when it comes to writing YA/NA romances. She expertly captures the essence of high school with all of its trials and tribulations of forming friendships, crushes, and first love. Emmet and Grace take us all the way back to High School, and the wonderful feeling of first love. Emmet sees Grace and it is like lightning strikes, and he is smitten. Doe does a wonderful job of writing a love story that is made to transcend time, and last a lifetime. Her attention to detail, and ability to give us a three-D picture of each character dragged me in and kept me turning the page until the very end.
Anna is an author who knows what she wants and makes sure she delivers it. And i can not stress on how good this book was. Oh my God. She painted a picture of the whole world, the small town of Texas; I could exactly picture how it would have been. It was so easy to picture the characters, the way they would speak, everything. And I am a sucker for small town romances.

Kiss Me First was sweet and adorable! This is a book you will want to read for ALL THE FEELS! This book will draw you in with how heart warming it is. I went into this story pretty much blind but it was so good! There was just enough sweetness, suspense, and heat to make me want more.
Emmett is my new book boyfriend! He was so dang patient, had that perfect country boy charm and was wise beyond his years.
Katherine had that grit that I absolutely love but there was also a hidden vulnerability that made me ask all the questions.

Well this is just the sweetest book ever. I adored Katherine and Emmett's journey of how they met in bluebonnet and found love along the way.
This is not a hot and heavy romance and it is not written to be one. I love how Anna has managed to write true to the characters ages and feelings. It is great sweet 4* YA read.
