We All Sleep Alone (Finley Creek - Disaster series ) by Calle J Brookes.
This is a stand alone book, but part of a series with characters from previous books making an appearance. Throughout the Finley Creek series, there has been evidence of the strong friendship between Nikki Jean, Annie and Izzie. "Lost in the Wind" is Nikki Jean and Cain's story. "Walk through the Fire" is Annie and Turner's story and in "We all sleep alone" it is Izzie and Allen's story. All 3 stories take place during/after a f4 Tornado hits the area. There are a lot of sub plots going on; with most of the overall story arc resolved. At the end of this book there is a set up for the story of Shelby who is Allen's sister and Jake who is the uncle of Izzie. I like the story telling of Calle J Brookes, but at times this book at 451 pages suffered from the lack of a strong editor/proof reader. These last 3 books have been for me solid 3 star books. Could have been 4 or 5 stars but missed the mark.

This is Izzy's story. She and Dr. Allen Jacobson are caught up in an F4 tornado and their lives intertwine and spiral out of control just like the twister that blew through town. Neither one will be the same again.
This story was gripping and it follows the same format as the other two in this series that follows the aftermath of the tornado. I was sucked into this book and love the characters. They are very developed and there is no shortage of twists and turns like the tornado that destroyed a lot of the town. Ms. Brookes makes you care about what happens to these people. It's like sitting on the sidelines and watching the story unfold. Finley Creek is a small town that takes care of its own especially when disaster strikes.

4 Sleepless Stars 🌟
We all sleep alone is the next book in the Finley Creek Disaster series and focuses mainly on the couple Allen and Izzie😁 Obviously due to the nature of the relationships between Izzie, Nikki Jean and Annie there is a lot of overlap in the story, just from a different perspective - this time Izzie, so still enjoyable❣️It was also good to find out more about Izzie’s background and her uncle Jake (who I believe will be up next in the final book for this series😳).
I can’t wait for Jake’s story to find out exactly what it is he’s been up to😁 And I’m hoping he will be paired up with Shelby - Allen’s sister.....I’m intrigued to find out what her story is too❤️

would’ve given 5 stars, but…
Had it not been for the vast amount of premarital sex, and pregnancies with still no weddings; even with the few f bombs, I’d have probably given it 4.5.
For such a small town n hospitals, there truly aren’t THAT many people sleeping around😉 Just a clean book very much like these plots, where a couple of the main characters are faithful church members, and help out in tangible ways when a friend is hurt…. Not Bible thumping 😂 Check Lynette Eason! Happy New Year and God Bless 2022!

Outstanding entry in TBE series!!
Thank goodness there is another chapter to this series! I would hate to stop reading about Finley Creek! This mystery series is well crafted and it draws you into action and there is plenty of that! This entry is the story of Izzie MacNamara and Allen Jacobson, along with a tornado, several killers past and present and a few ghosts from the past. Make yourself comfortable because this book will keep you on your toes.

Sins always find you
I never expected so much to happen in this book. I loved, loved this series. I haven't read a series this exciting, challenging in a long time. I would recommend it to everyone. What happens when fathers return after years.

Brookes never disappoints
Another great addition to the Finley Creek series. Callie Brookes has built a world full of action and suspense that keeps the reader fully engaged. These books are the ones you can't pit down but hate to see end. I highly recommend!!!

Over all a good story. The bad guys get a little dark for my liking.
