Little Krampus dreams of riding Santa’s sleigh. When his father says no, he still sneaks away! Is he doomed to be gifted with naughty-kid coal? Or will Christmas magic get everything under control?
Cute. Illustrations don't always match the text (i.e. at one point Little Krampus is supposed to be hugging someone and instead is sitting in a chair). The rhyming works reasonably well when read out loud. Still wish someone could tell a Krampus children's story without rhyme. But definitely a lovable introduction to Krampus for small children.
But I can still have any story about krampus The illustration is very nice in the stories put together very well there was one typo that my child noticed but other than that the story is really great it's very cute
A fun little book that really shows the other side to christmas, it is a shame that the original side of the Krampus tale (a thing to be feared) is lost but at the same time shows the benefits of fruit as well as the love of family.
“The magic of that Christmas lasted all throughout the year” [KW]
“Little Krampus and the Magical Sleigh Ride”, Killian Wolf’s excursion into children’s literature, is a delightful Christmas story that combines Wolfe’s easy flowing prose with Alice Pieroni joyful illustrations, a match made in children’s literature Olympus.
Blending loosely Krampus and Santa Clause background legends, the book offers a whole new story written in rhymes, that will appeal to both children already able to read, those small enough to be looking forward to their parents “good-night-story”, and the parents themselves! And perhaps, afterward readers will also realize that Krampus is not really as scary as believed to be, just someone doing his job, after all he too used to be an adorable little Krampus once😉
