I received this book from Wildfire Marketing for an honest review.

When I got the mail for this book I was instantly amoured by the cover. Oh my. Then I saw it was a Christmassy book and definitely want to try it out more. It sounded really cute and adorable.

This short novella is about two characters. Dare and Noel (fitting name, right?). The plan was for Noel to go on a vacation with her friends but she ends up with her ex, Dare. Yep. You can imagine that this story doesn’t start off well for bo I received this book from Wildfire Marketing for an honest review.

When I got the mail for this book I was instantly amoured by the cover. Oh my. Then I saw it was a Christmassy book and definitely want to try it out more. It sounded really cute and adorable.

This short novella is about two characters. Dare and Noel (fitting name, right?). The plan was for Noel to go on a vacation with her friends but she ends up with her ex, Dare. Yep. You can imagine that this story doesn’t start off well for both characters. Dare is hoping to fix things, which I found very sweet though also a bit annoying as Noel at first gave clear signals of no. Noel on the other hand just wants to simultaneously fuck Dare and bury him. 😛 I loved the setting and I am very happy with how the author wrote it. It was a bit fast in my opinion, but then again, these two have their history and they are both clearly still into each other despite the thing that happened years ago.

I loved reading more about these two characters and what they are doing, how they met, and how everything fell apart. I loved that they were getting a second chance to reconnect. And that they could do that at a very magical and wonderful place, a resort somewhere far away. LORD. I love that. I would also love to go to such a place, sadly, no one is offering me free vacations and I know those things are way too expensive. But I can dream, and thanks to this book I can still experience the magic of it all.

The sex scenes (and there were quite a few) were all well written!

I loved the hotel personnel who bumped them to a honeymoon suite and all that came along with that. 😛

And again, oh my at that sexy cover. *swoons*

Since this is a positive review, I will be hiding this one but I do need to mention it as it affected my rating. Don’t read if you want to keep things positive!
Dear romance authors, could you do one thing for me? For other readers? Drop the script that all romance authors seem to follow? And then especially one specific thing. The unnecessary drama that always comes near the end. According to my ereader if I read romance stuff on that, around 70-80%. It just feels silly and highly out of place. In this book as well. Two grown adults. Having a great time reconnecting. Then one of them notices something and instead of just going to the other one, because you were just talking about decisions and growing up, you huff and you puff and disappear in the night, startling and frightening the other person who has no clue where you went. What are you? 3 years old and having a tantrum over a cereal? I am sorry. JUST FREAKING TALK, JUST DISCUSS IT. And of course everything ends up cosy and nice and sweet and nope. Sorry, it just feels so forced that I cannot take the make-up scene seriously.

But for most I really enjoyed this novella and I flew through it. There are lots of Christmas punned sentences that had me laughing. This was a delight to read during this month of December, with Christmas coming up soon. I would definitely recommend it.

This is my first book by this author and I picked it up because of it's part of the multi-author collaboration and now I have a new author to follow. This was fun and steamy, which I love. The chemistry between Noel and Dare is electric, even if they are at each other's throats at first. I love their personalities and how Dare decided to win her back. Unexpected illness brings a change in vacation travellers. Noel expected to spend Christmas in the Cayman’s with her BFF but instead she got the guy who dumped her and broke her heart. Dare wants a second chance with Noel but he needs to grovel big time. The guy goes all out to plan romantic excursions and win back the woman he hurt. Touching and he’s leaned his lesson. Loved the epilogue on the beach. I read this book using my KU subscription.

2nd chance

Going to the cayman with friends for Christmas but they came down with a baf cold or the flu. They did find someone to take their place. Her 3x bf from 10 yrs ago. Hes going to win her back and shes giving him a hard time. Even with a call from his bosses to come back , he was able to convince her to not dump him and work things out.

Noel and Dare were the perfect story for this holiday season! A second chance, enemies to lovers scenario that I always adore when I read romance novels. Noel just wants to get away from the cold of New York for Christmas, but her best friend is too sick to come and sends her decade-old heart throb ex to go instead!

I enjoyed a lot about this. It was a quick second chance romance, set in Cayman at the holidays with a second chance romance and forced proximity/one bed aspect. If any of that rocks your holiday boat, pick this up. It was fun. I volunteered to read an early copy of this via Booksprout. All opinions are my own.

Stereotypical

This is the first book I've read by this author, which is apparently the first book published under this name. There is some word usage which sounds very similar to at least one other book in this series, so I'm not sure if these are all written by different authors or just cute little spin offs under different pen names. I LOVED this fun and steamy second chance romance. Noel and Dare are both on a Cayman getaway for Christmas. Noel is the one that got away, so Dare tries to convince her to give him another chance. These two are cute and flirty together. Two people meant to be! I loved this book and these characters!

Christmas in Cayman is a short story. It’s a second chance romance that is well written. Very good Holiday read and just what I needed.
Noel is feisty and doesn’t want anything to do with Dare after he broke her heart with no real explanation ten years ago.
Dare regrets ending things with Noel because he believes she is his one true love. They end up on a Christmas vacation together, can he win her back or will she stand her ground?
