Love in Europe

Spending time with the woman who can’t stand the sight of me? Not my best idea. But I can’t help it. Those red lips suck me in.

My job is my life. It’s one of the only things I have going for me. Finding true love? Not in the cards for me.

When the mysterious Celine comes driving into my life, I can’t help but be drawn to her. Those curves and that sexy French accent.

But Celine is closed off and wants nothing to do with me. Yet, I don’t miss the way she looks at me. Like she wants more. Like she wants to kiss the life out of me.

Everything single touch we share lights a fire inside of me. I want this woman more than I’ve ever wanted anything in my life.

Can I convince Celine to take a chance on me? Or will she always be the one that got away?

Not bad travel romance on Kindle Unlimited.

An American tour hostess, AnnaBelle doing small group tours with seniors through Europe, gets more than she bargained for with hot and cold French bus driver Celine.

I loved the traveling and location bits here, the senior side characters and their antics were fun!

I didn't much believe the connection the two main women had, and the angst there was a bit annoying and all too easily solved. The ultimate connection and I love you's and willingness to uproot lives and careers comes too quick.

But it's an entertaining enough story, with a fair amount of spiciness too.

A French Fling is a contemporary, sapphic romance by Emily Silver and it was so much fun! This is part of her standalone travel romance series, Love Aboard, and it was a delight. If you have wanderlust like me, or the love to travel, you will have the best time with this quick read!

The story starts off with Annabelle, she is an American travel-tour guide who organizes small group tours for seniors traveling to Europe with her business, Adventures with Seniors by Annabelle. While on her recent tour, she ends up meeting Celine, one of the hired drivers for the European tour and they hit it off. While spending time together, Annabelle starts to wonder if this relationship could last longer than the trip. She’s always been on the go, but for the first time she starts considering setting down roots and thinks Celine is someone she’d want to stay still with.

“Annabelle is a fire that could consume me. And that’s what scares me most of all.”

This was just a great, quick read! It’s just over 200 pages and I totally want to read the other books part of this series now, book 1 takes place in Antarctica! I really believed in Ab and Celine’s chemistry and connection. They both have things to think about if they want to continue with their relationship in “real life” outside of a vacation fling (Celine’s ex comes back into her life, Ab considers setting down roots/less travel). The narration for this was so good, I’m already a fan of Samantha Brentmoor and the author told me this was her first sapphic romance to narrate too!

Thank you to Forever and Always PR for an audio ARC, all thoughts in this review are my own.

Me, a former editor, now on disability and unable to find fully remote work: *reads this book that very very very obviously never had anyone edit even a single word of it*

This was cute and all, but it honestly felt like a first draft that the author never actually revised and that no editor ever took a peep at. It was fun to follow the group around Europe (especially since "vicariously" is the only way I'll ever experience it) and some of the flirtation between Celine and Annabelle (I will not call her "Ab" - Celine and I are in agreement about that) was entertaining. The sex scenes were good although a bit repetitive and I don't think we needed so much of it in such a short book. Plus, I do like seeing older female characters (side characters, not the MCs) having fun and being a little feisty.

But the writing itself was, I'm sorry, atrocious. So many repeated words and phrases, like one sentence after another. So many lines worded in such an odd way that they kind of sounded like they'd been put through a few random languages on Google Translate. Some of the descriptions, especially of people, were just so clunky and weird. The relationship between the MCs was strangely done, too. There's this coldness between them right away, but both of them are losing it over how hot the other is, although we're not really given a strong image of what they look like. Then after just a couple of days and maybe a dozen sentences said to each other, Annabelle just randomly starts smacking Celine on the ass when they're walking places??? She's also constantly winking at her, which makes her sound like an 80 year old man. Very quickly, even for lesbians, they go from being attracted to each other to wondering how they'll live without the other and declaring their love. We're talking, what, a couple of weeks? I know all the jokes about how Sapphics move fast, but come on.

The weird third-act mess with Celine's ex was so contrived and pointless, not just because you know Celine and Annabelle will have an HEA but because there was no real drama with it at all. Your ex shows up and says they want you back. Ho-hum. Also, while I did enjoy the older folks who were part of Annabelle's tour group, after a bit they started getting tedious, because all of them were behaving more like teenagers. I know some older folks do act that way, but most of them do not, and you CAN have older characters cracking jokes and going on dates without making them sound like they're in high school.

I don't know. This was okay, but really needed more time in the oven.

A French Fling by Emily Silver is one of those feel good books that feels like one big hug. This is the story Ab and Celine’s journey across Europe together!

🩷Sapphic romance (FF)
🩷Strangers to friends to lovers
🩷Vacation fling
🩷So many laughs and good times!

Rating: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️.5
Spice level: 🌶️🌶️
Angst level: 💔

Ab is an American tour guide that specializes in tours across Europe that are geared towards seniors. On her current tour, she meets Celine who is a hot and cold French driver. But the two of them seem to keep finding ways to spend more time together.

They have both been hurt in past relationships, but most recently Celine is dealing with an ex who made her feel less than.

I loved the adventures between these two and seeing them slowly fall in love with each other and start their new life together!

Samantha Brentmoor did an absolutely fantastic job voicing these two characters, but her stand out performance is the narration of Celine with her enticing French accent. That was amazing and really drew me into their story!

Emily Silver – PLEASE write more sapphic romances?!

I can see why this book would work for the right reader - it’s a quick, steamy f-f romance set in the most touristy parts of Europe. I can get behind wanting to breeze through something like that without bogging yourself down with a lot of plot. Unfortunately I could have used a little more plot or character development to really make me care about the romance or feel like it was special in any way. To me this felt almost like an outline of a novel that was to be filled in later with reasons the MCs were falling in love that weren’t just instant attraction. It also could have used a little more editing - there were multiple times I thought I had accidentally skipped back in the audiobook because specific phrases were repeated within a scene or scenes in close succession. I enjoyed the audiobook and respect the narrator for alternating between the American and French accents - I thought it was two separate narrators for most of the book. Thanks to Forever and Always PR for providing this audio ARC in exchange for my honest review!

Emily Silver has done it again! She's taken me on the most amazing love abroad adventure! First the Antarctic now all over Europe all from the comfort of home. What a nice escape from 2020. I will recommend this book to anyone willing to listen.

I absolutely loved getting to visit with Abs and Barb and their senior travelling shenanigans but really what roped me in was the dynamic between Abs and Celine.

Love in Europe is a steamy FF romance.

The tension is thick when Abs realises that her normal driver accidentally got sent somewhere else and it rocks her world and makes a change that she never seen coming.

Abs is her normal bubbly outgoing self  who is trying to get this woman to open up in come out of her shell And it sucks you in and makes you want nothing but good things to happen for these women.

They deserve the world but will they get it due to hiccups that no one seen coming?

There is talk of Italian lovers, elderly falling in love, excitement, heart break, sneak peeks in to Reid and Beatrix lives and SEX!

If we are being honest I had never read a FF romance before Love in Europe.  I went in open minded and so glad that I did this book was amazing.  I found myself falling in love with these characters in attaching myself to them and wanting nothing more then for them to find their HEA.  Annabelle had everything she could ever want but was always missing the one thing that she needed.... family. She had found that to an extent with Barb Reid and Beatrix.  And I want nothing more than her to find someone to help her feel grounded and like she has a home.

Celine had her heart ripped out after a long term relationship and I found myself hoping she found that someone to put her heart pieces back together and love her for the amazing person she is.

**Audiobook Review**

This was my first Emily Silver book a couple years ago and I have been a fan ever since. I was so happy that this was released as an audiobook because we need more FF/Sapphic romance books. “A French Fling” is a steamy, fun and heartfelt sapphic romance that I could not stop listening to.

Abs owns a travel company and is currently in Europe with a tour group of senior citizens. When her normal bus driver can’t make their tour, the company sends in a replacement. Celine is a Frenchwoman and comes off a little standoffish. The two have some personality differences, Abs is cheery and Celine is a little grumpy. But one thing they have in common is an attraction to each other. However, Celine is not looking for a new relationship and Abs is focused on growing her business. But spending the next two weeks together, the attraction they have for each other starts to surface.

Abs and Celine will forever be one of my favorite couples. I loved their instant connection and how they were truly opposites attract. A grumpy/sunshine will always be one of my top tropes. Abs is genuine, kind and wants the best for everyone in her life. Celine is quiet, smart but keeps her heart guarded. I loved how these two were able to connect on their differences and be able to be the balance in life each other needed. They truly connected as humans before they moved onto anything physical and I loved the pace of their relationship. The seniors on the tour were a hoot and had me laughing out loud several times.

Samantha Brentmoor was FABULOUS narrating this book. Not only did she have a unique voice for each character, her French accent was perfect. She was the perfect choice to bring this book to life.

This is the sapphic European romance of my dreams!

Ab owns a travel company for seniors to experience the world and this time, they're in Europe. As soon as they land, there's a change of drivers from Ab's usual to someone new. Ab has been so focused on building her business that she hasn't made time for dating. Celine is the driver assigned to Ab's tour group. She comes off as standoffish and brutally honest. She's fresh off a breakup with her ex-girlfriend and not ready to get attached to anyone else. Despite their personality differences, there's an attraction simmering just beneath the surface between Ab and Celine. Should they explore their attraction? Probably not. Do they explore it anyways? Of course they do.

Ab and Celine are one of my favorite pairings! Ab is all sunshine & optimism while Celine is a bit grumpy & jaded (especially towards a new relationship). Ab encourages Celine to open up and let herself be care-free again. Celine helps Ab realize that it's okay to slow down & delegate business duties to other tour guides.

But don't be fooled - their relationship might be extremely sweet but it still gets rather steamy! Their picnic evening under the glow of the Eiffel tower is such a special scene but the cabaret scene gets me every time! I thought eyeball reading that scene was hot but listening to the narration on audiobook?! Even hotter!

Emily did it again! I couldn't wait to read Ab's book. Her infectious personality in Love in Antarctica was sure to make a promising story in Love in Europe.

Ab, Annabelle, has finally accomplished her dream by starting her tour group for seniors, with the help of Barb, to wonderful places throughout the world. After putting two years into her dream to get her business running smoothly, Ab starts realizing she's missing the balance of having a relationship along with her dream. Nothing makes this more apparent when her usual driver is unable to take her European group, but instead is replaced by the stunning French, Celine.

Although the two have a rocky start, it is very apparent the chemistry they share cannot be ignored. Emily takes you on their journey from rocky, to friends, to lovers in some of the most romantic settings throughout Europe. Not only does Barb keep things interesting, but you also meet ten wonderful seniors. One who happens to be Reid's grandma, Dot, who also falls in love with Europe and their fearless leader Ab.

Do yourself a favor and dive head first into this series. The characters are wonderful, and you will not be disappointed!

I loved this book! It wasn’t the typical story that I normally read, but I feel in love with Ab and Celeste. Their sweet story drew me in and kept my attention for the entire time! Plus, who doesn’t love traipsing around Europe through the pages of a good book!

OK friends, if you are looking for an AMAZING summer read, PLEASE check out A French Fling! A grumpy/sunshine sapphic romance between a tour organizer and her French bus driver, the story follows them as they try to lead a group of seniors around Europe. It's short, sweet, and really fun, perfect vacation read.

As the owner of the tour company Adventures for Seniors, Annabelle is constantly traveling. While she loves her job, she has very little time to think about love. That all changes when she meets her new French driver, the beautiful and mysterious Celine. While she seems aloof at first, Annabelle keeps catching her staring - and Annabelle cannot keep her eyes off of her either. As they get to know each other, the romantic setting starts to wear away at their resolve not to hook up. But can they ever have anything more than a fling?

Oooh y'all, the chemistry between Annabelle and Celine is electric from the beginning! Though this is instalust, I feel like the forced proximity and the fact that they are traveling around doing some pretty freaking romantic stuff together out of necessity excuses how fast they move. I got some pretty serious wanderlust from all the incredible places they visit. And the spice? Whew, it's hot. I haven't read a lot of sapphic romance, but A French Fling is definitely my favorite so far.

I listened to the audiobook, and WOW y'all, it's EXCELLENT. Samantha Brentmoor was already one of my favorite female narrators, but her French accent for Celine?! It's SO GOOD, and adds to much to an already awesome story. It feels like a duet almost because Celine's chapters sound TOTALLY different. It's also the perfect length for a road trip - the book itself is a little over 200 pages, so the audiobook is maybe 5 hours? Easy to finish pretty quickly.

I'm on a mission right now to read as much sapphic romance as I can for Pride, but I can already tell A French Fling is going to be one of my top recs. I hope you give it a shot too, and I can't wait to check out more of Emily Silver's backlist!

A sapphic romance with traveling and adventure? Sign me up.

The book follows Ab and Celine. Abigail owns a traveling company that she created to do tour guides for older people who want to go on adventures. She ends up meeting Celine as she is doing a European tour and Celine is her driver.

The two of them spend days together traveling and going on adventures and they quickly fall into a whirlwind romance. Abigail is a sunshine heroine who loves to travel and it was such a joy to read about her passion for adventures. Celine starts off the book a little more reserved because she is fresh out of a break up but as the book progressed you got to see her become more confident. The two of them had absolutely amazing chemistry!

I read this book via audiobook and I absolutely adored the narration. I ended up finishing the entire book in one day because it was such an easy read and I was having so much fun listening to it. I think one of my favorite parts was the traveling aspect. The author wrote everything with such vivid detail it was easy to imagine all the sights they were seeing and places they were going even though I have never been to Europe. There was a large group of side characters with all of the people who were on the traveling tour with them and it helped make the book even more charming.

In short the book was fun, swoon-worthy, and oh so steamy! A solid four star book and I will absolutely read more from this author.

I’ve been jonesing for a sapphic romance lately, so when I got this ALC of A French Fling narrated by Samantha Brentmoor I was so happy!

Annabelle owns a travel/tour guide business that takes seniors on trips around Europe. Celine ends up being the driver that is hired to take them around. On the surface she seems cold and distant, and things between the two get off to a rocky start.

The banter and chemistry between the two of them is excellent, and I love how they slowly start to open up to one another as the trip continues.

Basically.. I just love Abs and Celine. The end 😂.

Samantha is seriously so talented. She did a PHENOMENAL job with all the character accents and bringing each one to life.

If you’re looking for a grumpy/sunshine, “hate” to love, forced proximity vacation romance with a cast of hilarious side characters, steam, and a HEA, definitely check this one out!!

I am always on the lookout for a steamy sapphic romance and this did not disappoint. Annabelle runs an Adventures with Seniors tour company and Celine is a tour bus driver. What better setting for a romance than traveling around Europe! It gave me all the nostalgia of my own tour around Europe (well minus I did not have a spicy romance during my trip) The development of the relationship happening on these cute excursions and the sprinkle in of the other characters on the tour was just so wonderful! It was such a great, quick read that had amazing chemistry! I enjoyed consuming this book so much as an audiobook because we got Celine’s French accent as well! The narrator did such a good jump bringing to life the characters and the spice!

This is my first read by this author and also my first F/F read.
I don't really know what I was expecting but I was blown away completely.

Annabelle runs a tour company and due to a mix up they end up with a new driver - Celine. Watching their love blossom in this story, is honestly so sweet and well the sex scenes were 🥵🔥.

It's such a beautiful love story, which I completely devoured in a day and all set with Europe as the background? Definite win for me.

The best FF romance novel you will get your hands on!

Love in Europe is that feel good love story that will leave you smiling the entire time. This was the first FF romance novel I've read all the way through due to others feeling forced, but Emily Silver KILLED IT! It was so well written and the characters and development felt real. Nothing seemed forced and everything proceeded at a realistic pace. This will now take the number one spot as my favorite LGBTQ read.

So Sweet!

This was such a sweet story of adventure and love. Emily Silver did such a great job illustrating the tour of Europe with all the landmarks, food and scenery. You truly feel like you’re there enjoying the tour with them. There’s such a deep and beautiful connection between Celine and Ab you can’t help but fall in love with their passion for each other.

A French Fling is a contemporary, sapphic romance by Emily Silver that is part of the Love Abroad series and can be read as a standalone. I love reading a good travel romance in the summer that allows me to travel vicariously through the characters so I was immediately interested in picking this one up!

Things To Expect:
- sapphic romance
- opposite attract
- travel
- forced proximity
- grumpy/sunshine

Annabelle (aka Ab) owns a travel company for seniors to experience the world and one of her most popular destinations is Europe, which is where this story takes place. Ab is constantly traveling for work and building her business that she hasn't made time for dating. On Ab's most recent tour her usual driver is unable to take her tour group so the company sets her up with Celine. Celine is fresh off a breakup and not ready to get attached to anyone else. She is also standoffish at first but as they get to know each other better neither of them can deny the chemistry between them. But will that chemistry be enough to get Celine to open up and Ab to put down roots?

I absolutely loved the characters in this story and their dynamic in this story! It is novella length but Emily Silver did a great job at making it feel like a full length novel. Ab and Celine's travels through Europe were so much fun and their banter was so cute. My only issue is that I felt like the ending was really rushed and I would have loved to get 25-50 more pages to really just wrap up Ab and Celine's story. I also loved the side characters, especially Barb (who I already loved from the first book). Samantha Brentmoor also did an amazing job with the narration and really gave the story life. I definitely think reading the first book in the series added to the story because I already loved Ab and Barb from the first book so the author didn't need to spend time making me want to root for them. That being said, it can definitely be read as a standalone.

Thank you Forever and Always PR and Emily Silver for an audiobook ARC in exchange for an honest review.

4.5 STARS

I have had the EBook of this novel on my kindle for quite a while. When I received the audiobook ARC, I knew it was time to push it up the list. This was my first FF romance. As book two in the series, it can be read as a standalone and ends with a HEA. It is written in first person from an alternating dual POV. I would rate the book at 4 STARS and the audiobook at 5 STARS.

AnnaBelle meets Celine when she is assigned as the driver for the European tour that she is leading for her company. Once they begin to communicate, it doesn't take long to give into their mutual attraction. They share many steamy moments where they are obviously very hot for each other. Meanwhile, their emotion connection is building. As they travel around Europe, they go from a less-than-perfect start to falling in love. I liked both characters, I just felt like I wanted a little more from them. Annabelle has created a very successful business in short amount of time, but I felt like I missed the struggle of the build. It felt easy. Celine seems content in her job and I wanted her to want more somehow. There are some funny and sweet moments with the seniors on her tour and I loved the light-hearted feel they add. I also loved the travel portions of the book.
It felt like I was on the tour seeing the sights with AB and Celine and the group. There are a few low-angst moments then a quick and sweet HEA.

Samantha Brentmoor does an amazing job in the audio narration. She nails the different accents and voices of the characters in a way that felt like duet narration at its best. Her French accent for Celine is divine! She brought the characters to life in a wonderful way that added to the story.

**Audio Review**
Ooh, la la! A French Fling by Emily Silver was a magical strangers-to-lovers sapphic romance that sent my heart on a swoony, whirlwind adventure. This is book 2 in Silver’s Love Abroad series but can be enjoyed as a complete stand-alone. Ab and Celine’s romantic journey across Europe will have your heart falling fast and hard for this beautiful couple!

Samantha Brentmoor narrates this audiobook, and she is simply tres magnifique in every single way! This book is told in dual POV, and Samantha performs both leading ladies brilliantly. Samantha portrayed Ab’s determined, passionate, and outgoing spirit with fervor and love! Her performance of Celine was downright sultry and sexy, especially in that seductive French accent! (Yes, lady!) The steamy chemistry between Ab and Celine is HOT, and Samantha brought the heat! (Grab a fan!) Plus, her ability to transition between Ab and Celine, along with the various side characters was flawless!

Overall, I LOVED this book! If you are a fan of a sapphic strangers-to-lovers romance with a passionate tour guide, a loyal loving French driver, a lively bunch of senior travelers, a European adventure to remember ending in the City of Lights, seductive steamy times, (hello cabaret!) taking a chance at love, and a HEA that proves a fling can turn into forever, then you will love Ab and Celine’s love story! I always look forward to more from Emily Silver!

** Review based on audio book **

Ab has been working hard to get her travel tour company for seniors off the ground and making sure her clients have the most wonderful experiences while in her care. This hasn’t left much time for pursuing personal interests, including romance. Just when she’s about to set off on another adventure with a new group, a dark-haired, red-lipped French beauty named Celine comes into her life as her replacement driver.

The last thing Celine wants is to fall in love. Her last relationship ended abruptly and without much explanation so she’s not in a good headspace to start another one. Ab’s easy-going personality, her earnest work ethic and genuine affection for her clients draws Celine in, making it impossible to resist the attraction between them. But can a fling really become more?

A French Fling was my first sapphic (FF) romance and I loved it! Emily Silver wrote a fun story that engaged all the senses as if the reader were a member of this tour group. Ab and Celine seemed like polar opposites in personality at the beginning, but their simmering chemistry pulled them together.

Samantha Brentmoor’s ability to portray both Ab and Celine’s personalities and their love story was magic. The fluidity of her transitions between the accents (French and Italian) and the different American dialects of the tour group was flawless. A fantastic performance!

A French Fling by book two in the Love Abroad series and is the strangers-to-lovers, workplace, sapphic romance of Anabelle and Celine.
Anabelle (Ab) with the help of her friend Barb has finally been able to achieve her dream of having her own tour company running guided coach tours across Europe. Ab has an OAP multicentre tour booked when her driver is a no show. She scrambles to find a replacement, not wanting to let anyone down and is assigned Celine. A grumpy, pessimistic French woman who appears to hate Ab, only it isn’t hate, Celine is facing an internal battle having recently gone through a breakup and Ab reminding her of her ex. Ab continues to be her sunshiny, optimistic self. Two heartbroken souls in close proximity, one tour of Europe, throw in a bunch of randy OAPs, good food, good wine, and the amazing Mediterranean as the backdrop. From sun, sea, sand, and sangria, to stein drinking and dirndl wearing, to good pasta, wine and gelato and the perfect finish in the city of Love and Lights with a picnic under the Eifel Tower, to a Cabaret to watching the Eifel Tower “sparkle” at night all contribute beautifully to Ab and Celine’s cautious approach into a hot and steamy romance.
Samantha Brentmoor brings this audiobook to life solo and my goodness, she does the most magnificent job. A French Fling has the two FMC’s Ab and Celine, an American and a French woman and Samantha never misses a beat switching between the two dialects effortlessly, add in a gaggle of side characters that she brought to life in the best ways possible.
Overall, this book was good. The whistle stop tour of the Med, the funny, witty, horny OAP side characters and Samantha Brentmoor’s performance really brought out the best of this book.

Spicy FF travel romance

The author excels at creating vivid descriptions of the characters, particularly Celine, who is portrayed as closed-off yet longing for something more. The sensuality between the two main characters is palpable, and their every touch sets their desires ablaze. Emily Silver certainly knows how to craft intense and passionate scenes that leave a lasting impact.

However, where the story falls short is in its lack of depth. While the physical attraction between the characters is explored in great detail, I found myself yearning for a deeper emotional connection. The relationship seemed to rely heavily on physical desires, and I would have appreciated more exploration of their personalities, backgrounds, and motivations. This would have added layers to the characters and made their connection feel more genuine and meaningful.

In conclusion, the audiobook delivers a hot and passionate romance between two seemingly incompatible individuals. While it excels in sensuality and chemistry, it falls short in terms of character depth and plot originality. If you're seeking a steamy escape with intense moments, this book may satisfy your desires but don't expect a profound emotional connection or groundbreaking storyline.

Thank you to Forever and Always PR for an audio ARC, all thoughts in this review are my own.

#afrenchfling is book two in the #loveabroadseries by @authoremilysilver

Ab and Celine meet while Ab is taking her group of seniors on a European adventure. Celine is the driver that’s spending the entire trip with this group. These two are opposites in almost every way. From their looks to their attitudes. Both try to fight the spark between them but it’s no use, they are explosive together. They compliment each other and fit together like a puzzle. Now as the trip comes to and end can they both overcome the challenges of their past and where they live or was this a fling that was destined to end?

@ms_brentmoor did an absolutely amazing job narrating this book. The transitions between characters were flawless, the accents were amazing and the emotion was perfection. She was absolutely amazing and everyone should listen to it for this alone.

I really enjoyed everything about this book. It’s my first F/F book and it was so well done. Emily did a great job capturing the personalities of these characters and I’d absolutely recommend her books to anyone!

If you have ever debated on whether or not to read a FF book, then I suggest you start with this one. A French Fling is a quick easy read with a sweet story about love and adventure. AB takes groups of seniors on tours throughout Europe. Doesn’t that sound like an amazing job? This is where she meets Celine who is hired to be her driver for this tour. AB and Celine’s attraction is immediately felt. They enjoy their time together exploring the area. I really enjoyed the travel aspect to this book, it made it sound so exciting to a person who has never been to Europe. But it is written with such passion that you can tell Emily has.

The audiobook deserves all the stars in the world. Samantha freaking Brentmoor what did you do!? This was an outstanding, award winning performance. The way she carried both characters but made them completely different. The accent! Yall need to listen to this audio even if you are unsure about the book (which you shouldn’t be) but the audio is 1000000% worth it!

Well, bonjour, Mademoiselle Brentmoor!! Samantha does an excellent job flipping between French and American accents as well as giving the golden oldies on this trip a variety of voices. This is a true skill. She made the conversations seamless and I was here for the delicious lady spice!!

Emily wrote a sapphic romance set in Europe. This is low angst and a fun travel story.

Anabelle runs a tour company for people in their prime. She meets Celine as she is the replacement bus driver for her latest tour around Europe with her 10 senior clients. Not only is this a cute story but we get to hot-foot it around some gorg travel destinations too. This wasn’t just a romance book but a fun trip through Europe as well! From cheese tasting to grape crushing, to trips to fantastic sights, and of course, plenty of delicious feasts.

This is my first book by Emily and I found her writing easy to listen to with fun side characters and some tasty lady spice!

This is a sweet love story that takes us on a tour through Europe.
Bravo to Samantha Brentmoor who delightfully tells us a story written by Emily Silver about two broken hearted women.
Samantha’s uber talent brings the characters of Anabel the Amercian tour company owner and Celine the French tour bus driver to life.
Anabel and her friend Barb plan an adventure trip for their company for a group of sassy Senior Citizens through Europe. Anabel meets their new driver Celine due to a mishap with the van company and she and Celine instantly connect with their chemistry and spark as they tour through several cities along the way. They soon realize that each of them provides a sense of comfort and happiness to eachother that leads to them unexpectedly falling in love.

My review is a love letter to Emily Silver and Samantha Brentmoor...Ab and Celine were so special and I can't possibly imagine someone else performing all of the unique and quirky characters Emily created.

Ab is finally living the life she imagined, traveling the world and leading tours for older adults that provide an authentic experience...but something is missing and she isn't sure what.

Celine is heartbroken...and just going through the motions of day to day life...until Ab. She opens her eyes to the beauty surrounding her constantly and allows her heart to heal with every moment they spend together.

I loved the story and I feel like Samantha elevated the whole thing with her multiple voices-her French accent for Celine was something I didn't know I needed until I heard it, she conveyed such emotion through Ab, she made me laugh with Dot and Barb...and then she pulled out her male voice for Reed. IT WAS EVERYTHING! The true tell of an amazing narrator for me is the ability to have such a broad range of voices while also conveying the emotions and story in the way the author envisioned...this was it for me.
