Second read: Even better the second time around. I picked up on all the little clues I'd missed the first time.
What a wonderful, wonderful story! Every new book Milly Johnson writes is a total joy to read and savor.
Unlike all those book blurbs that shout about heartwarming, feel-good stories but turn out to be disappointingly sicky-sweet and silly, this book is TRULY heartwarming and feel-good with marvelous characters (a sort of ensemble cast of 6), romance, lots of Milly's best snarky dialogu ...more

I Wish It Could Be Christmas Every Day is a beautiful book, both on the outside and inside that is perfectly festive for this time of year. The story surrounds six very different people who all are after something this year, whether it is a divorce, to be noticed, or to have a wonderful Christmas with a loved one.
The six people, in three couples, all end up in a small village called Figgy Hollow (nice Christmassy name) after a snowstorm blows in and make ...more

The one thing that has really helped we through this crazy year of madness especially now the colder and darker nights are drawing in is this year’s festive releases and believe me I think this is my favourite year of festive novel releases since I have started reviewing. One author we can always rely on when it comes to a jolly good festive novel that will bring a bag laughs with it is none other than Milly Johnson and her new release, I Wish it Could be Christmas Every Day is a fabulous festiv

I will never forget this book and how it made me feel. It is delightful and I adore it and everything it holds deep inside.
Figgy Hollow Inn - what an enchanting place to be holed up in and especially at Christmas time! It sucked me in and I felt as if I was there: seeing and feeling what Bridge, Mary, Luke, Jack, Robin & Charlie got up to and were going through; the emotions they were feeling. I Wish It Could Be Christmas Everyday has exactly the right amount of ingredients that make this story ...more

What a wonderful story. I really don't know where to begin trying to do this justice. In fact I think you should just go and read this book, especially if you love a Christmas book, or just about anything by Milly Johnson.
You don't need the review, just take my word for it, this is Milly Johnson at her best and it has quite a different feel from her previous Christmas novel, and well they are both fabulous.

Oh my goodness, I adored this book! I wasn't ready for another Christmas story but BorrowBox had other ideas and I'm now grateful for this! There was so much to enjoy about this story which wasn't all love, laughter and mince pies....although there was plenty of that. The 'inn' they stayed in was too far fetched and unnecessary for me to have been written that way which stopped it being 5 stars but I know a lot of people will find it perfectly magical for a festive novel. My ❤ belonged to Charli

What an absolute joy. I laughed, I cried, and am delighted to know I'm not the only person who prefers Persuasion to Pride & Prejudice! As ever, Milly has created wonderful characters who pull at your heart and have you routing for their happiness. ...more

Another gorgeous, sumptuous and decadent novel from my favourite Milly Johnson. A lovely and light, yet very poignant tale of love, loss, remembrance and discovery. Deliciously festive, romantically toe curling and satisfyingly, face smilingly brilliant I highly recommend this if you are feeling low or just want a nice, easy read this Festive season. Pour yourself a nice drink, settle down and devour, as I have 😊

I pre-ordered the audiobook of this title because it has a wonderful narrator and I really thought she did a great job of bringing this story to life. One of the things I love most about this book is the ensemble cast. It can be difficult to keep track of who is who when you first start listening but the synopsis is so well written that I referred back to that to ensure I had everyone memorised and could really settle into the story.

I’m so glad I decided to buy the audio book for this one as I’ve spent a wonderful few hours in the company of the ‘Figgy Hollow Six – a group of people taking refuge at an empty Inn in a deserted hamlet during a ferocious snowstorm on their way to other destinations. With no landlord at the Inn, they have no alternative but to help themselves to food and lodgings.

Can something be too nice?
I really enjoyed this cute Christmas story. It's really, really heartwarming and beautiful. And as a reader, you just wish you were one of those lucky sods, snowed in together.
I do recommend it, it really gets you into the Christmas mood.
So, why not 5 stars? Well it was all wrapped up a little too neatly for me to be something to stay with me for a long time. But, sometimes I go back to change my rating - let's wait and see. ...more

I adore Milly Johnson’s writing and I’ve been a fan of her books for a number of years so I was super excited to get stuck into this one. The synopsis pulled me in straight away, I really loved the ‘seeking shelter in a snowstorm’ idea and envisaged plenty of heartwarming moments and perhaps even a few giggles within the pages ahead of me.
I certainly wasn’t disappointed!

I’ve been reading the most incredibly glowing reviews of this book ever since it was released, and I have to say that it’s impossible to disagree with a single one of them – I thought this book was just wonderful, and everything I’d hoped for from an author whose books I’ve unfailingly loved.

I consider myself so fortunate that the cover of White Wedding caught my eye in WHSmith while on holiday in London a few years back. I had no way of knowing then, but that book started my love affair with Milly Johnson’s writing style! I now own multiple copies of every book she’s released and can hardly wait for the next one to be released.

My favourite kind of book is a festive book, and this one from Milly Johnson ticks every single possible box.

I thank my lucky stars I came across this book. Throughout all the books I’ve read this year, I’m sure I will remember this one the most fondly. I’ll never forget this absolute gem of a book and I honestly can’t wait to return to it next year. Like a favourite Christmas film you return to year on year, this will be my equivalent in Christmas book form.

It’s always a good day when a new Milly Johnson book is released and this is another warm and humorous gem from her. Slightly unusual in that it has six main characters rather than a surrounding cast but once you get to know them they’re Milly classics, each with their own very different ways and different relationship but they all work so well. Lovely simple storyline and very character led this is a really cheerful read

If you only read one Christmas book this year, make it I Wish It Could Be Christmas Every Day by Milly Johnson! It's pure magic. I laughed, cried, swooned & sighed. My belly is rumbling, I'm craving mince pies & mulled wine. I've been awake reading since 2am and I regret nothing.

A truly magical read with fabulous characters that I completely and utterly loved. I laughed , I cried and I smiled at the end when I closed the book to the stories of the Figgy Hollow Six.

“The bracelet was made up of blue cord, silver beads, and seven tiny wooden blocks each bearing a letter: CMWYNAF. “Is that Welsh for Mary?” joked Robin. Mary smiled. “It stands for call me when you need a friend.”

“the point of life is living, here and now, being present in the moment. Watching a concert with your eyes, not trying to film it on a phone; living in a real world, not a virtual one, squeezing the juice out of every second, enjoying this journey for however long it lasts.”
