This book had all the potential to be interesting and informative, yet it was poorly written and nobody appears to have had edits. The author presents "research" and gives vague references to "studies" and doctors, with no citations or information that allows you to cross-check her claims. It also appears that this author just lifted information from other sources, as there were multiple references to "previously-mentioned" items that were never mentioned at all, and there were many acronyms that were never explained. The writing was more like a random stream of consciousness by someone with opinions but no peer-reviewed evidence. Don't waste your money or your time on this book.
I had no idea the vagus nerve that the vagus nerve was so crucial to so many daily body functions. This book opens by explaining what the vagus nerve is responsible for, what happens when it gets wonky, and why it is important to fix it. I really appreciated that the author explains what can be done to tune up the vagus nerve. I also liked that most of the things can be done within the comfort of my own home (yoga poses, push ups, stretching) Overall, I look forward to sprucing up my vagus nerve.
This book teaches you about the vagus nerve and all the things it can help you regulate; like anxiety, obesity, stress, heart disease and many more just by keeping it stimulated corrrctly. I recommend this book to anyone wanting to be the best they can be .
Before reading this book, I had never heard of the vagus nerve. I surely did nkt know that it is co nected to and regulates so much in our bodies. Very informative read.
It is amazing how many functions of our bodies the vagus nerve controls ad how much can go wrong if it’s not working properly. Thankfully stimulated it to work better can be as simple as singing, exercising, praying etc.
This book is terribly written. it has grammatical errors that work against clarity, a weird mix of vague phrases and medically precise phrases, and a lot of repetition. it might have valid content, but I can't trust anything this poorly produced.
The vagus nerve is very important to our health. I loved, how, the book mentioned meditation and even the use of prayer as a means to calming the, vagus nerve.
