Pssst...In case you aren't aware, I am not a Twenty-Something or even a Thirty-Something. Nope, those days have passed. But that does not make me an old fuddy-duddy, quite the contrary. I have been known to get down with the best of them...maybe needing help getting up but...I digress, hahahahahaha
What I am saying is those who are not New Age or a little bit older still want love...all types of love.
So when I saw Write Before Christmas had a woman ...more
When I saw Write Before Christmas I thought it look’s so cute.. I’m a sucker for cute and beautiful book cover. I thought Matt and Dani so cute it reminds me of another hallmark movie an enjoyable read 4 ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Matt is a fantasy writer whose series has been made into a hit TV show (think G.R.R Martin and Game of Thrones), but he seems to have a bad case of writer's block and his personal assistant has shipped him off to a holiday rental house/mansion to meet his Christmas deadline for the third and final book in the series.
Worlds collide when Matt's assistant hires Dani to be Matt's ...more

One of the things I appreciated most about this book was the age of the characters - they were both in their mid-forties. Dani was a recent divorcee with a college-aged daughter, and she needed to find work for the first time in years. Matt was an established author who had been writing for the last two decades, and who had only recently found ...more
Matt, also known as THE M.C. Bradford, is the author of a book series turned TV show that put him on the map. Struggling to complete the last book in the series with a finish that will make both him and the studio happy, he heads to a small town in the midwest to get some privacy and quiet. He doesn't expect to meet Dani Cooper, recently divorced and looking for the next step in her life, now that her daughter's fully grown. Matt can't afford distractions, and Dani isn't looking f ...more

This was certainly a cute, short and sweet Christmas romance novella, but I just didn't feel as swooned as I thought I would. While I did really enjoy the characters and their POVs, I didn't connect with any of them majorly. I felt like some of the plot was rushed, while other points were repeated far too many times (the money thing, for example... we get it.). It just wasn't as equally laid out as I would have liked. Also, the storyline with Matt and his book is ...more
Dani Cooper needs a job after her divorce because her ex-husband is slow on sending her money and she hadn’t worked in twenty years so any type of job would be good. Fantasy author M.C. He needs to finish the final book in his series so the script writers for The Saga could finish the planni ...more
I love Holiday themed books. They are a weakness in my reading armor. When I noticed this on Entangled’s page I jumped at the opportunity to request it. Thankfully, they let me read it and I was not disappointed. This was SO CUTE and while there wasn’t a ton of Christmas-esque things, it was still adorably holiday.
Following the story of Matt (M.C) and Dani made my heart swell. Dani was such a rela ...more
3 stars. This is a light, cute, and clean (no graphic sex, not much swear words) Christmas romance about a writer of a popular book/tv series and the cook.

Dani is a 45 year old divorcee with a teenage daughter to put through college. Matt is a 45 year old writer who’s next book is due and oh yeah he has to repair that slight faux pas he made at a comic con. Neither is look for a holiday romance but then love doesn’t much care about that!

This was a very cute story and I enjoyed it very much. I particularly appreciated seeing a couple in their mid 40’s as the romantic leads- we need more representation like this in romance novels. If you’re looking for a family focused Christmas story with an added bit of glitz in the form of a famous author and a tv show, then this is the one for you. I wouldn’t say it was too heav ...more

In this novella we follow Mark, a fantasy writer who is struggling to meet his deadline, and Dani, who is recently divorced and trying to find her feet again.
It's clear that the book sets out to be lighthearted, though in my opinion it could have benefited from being longer to allow for more relationship development. I didn't feel the connection between the two of them ...more
