5☆ Humble, Delicious, Therapeutic approach to cooking. I can't Recommend Enough!

When I first read the blurb for Cookfulness it jumped out to me as I can relate, I was so excited.
It makes such a refreshing change to read a cookbook from someone who actually understands what it's like to live with pain every day and not preach what you should and shouldn't be eating or doing.... but introducing tips to bring the fun and joy back into cooking.
I too suffer every day with chronic pain and fatigue, I
Packed with tips, this book isn't just a recipe book, it really is a book designed to help people to want to cook by providing insightful poems, easy to follow recipes with readily available materials and so much more. What you won't find in it, though, are photographs of the finished recipes. That surprised me but I can understand why after reading the author's explanation ..... the book is designed to help boost your self esteem and confidence, especially for anyone with chronic pain and menta ...more

5star cookbook for many readers and for many reasons. A cookbook with a twist. I just love the unique approach and certainly leaves you WANTING to cook/bake even on bad days, which we all have!!! Although this book is aimed at those who suffer with chronic pain such as Fibro, Arthritis, many invisible illnesses and mental health... It is just so refreshing to have a book that encourages us all (with a therapeutic approach). I like the added extras, ’hints and tips’ the ’give yourself time’ the a ...more

Cookfulness is more than just a cookbook. It’s a cookbook for those who suffer from issues such as depression, anxiety, fibromyalgia, arthritis, or any other condition which makes it painful or emotionally stressful to cook for themselves.

This book is a great idea. I suffer from most, possibly all of those conditions mentioned above. I manage to cook my family a meal most days but I have four children. I know people who live alone or with a roommate who never or almost never cook for themselves

Cookfulness is more than just a cookbook; it's a way of life, if you will. This cookbook is unique in that it isn't just recipe ingredients and directions on how to make said recipes. It's a cookbook that acknowledges that sometimes cooking isn't easy. Not in the way you may think, though. This cookbook is focused on helping people who suffer with chronic pain (like fibromyalgia) or mental health issues (depression/anxiety). The recipes within these pages are easy and simple to follow, without t ...more
