Belle Thornton is in a bind, an ex-beauty queen, single mother with passion for her community and the women in it, she is struggling to keep the doors of her small business open and up to code. She is independent and outgoing, a fantastic mother to her three year old daughter. I admired how much she cares about the women in her community, and how she finds a way to integrate the older and younger generations in a positive way.

LOVED this story!!

Second chance romance is one of my favorite tropes and this author wrote it beautifully! Belle and Micah share a history - one that ended not-so-good - and so when he returns to the scene, ALL the sparks fly.

Belle is guarded and rightly so. Micah wants to prove he's changed. Both have emotional wounds in different areas. Toss in fabulous secondary characters and you have yourself a five-star story.

This is my first book by Susan Tuttle and I can't believe I haven't read her books until now. Filled with lovably real and broken characters, witty and clever dialogue, raw and palpable emotions, "Now she understood how razor-sharp her words could be, wounding without even a direct hit. This is my first book by Susan Tuttle and I can't believe I haven't read her books until now. Filled with lovably real and broken characters, witty and clever dialogue, raw and palpable emotions, and snippets of wisdom that beg to be pondered, the book hits all the right spots and will settle in your heart. Now I need to go back to the first book in this series to catch up on the details of Belle's sister Penny's backstory with her darling hubby Jonah.

Though it's the second book in the series, it can be enjoyed as a stand-alone. I'm sure the Belle in this book is very different from the first book, having gone through trials and tribulations that humbled and grounded her. This new Belle is determined, focused, compassionate, tender, and brimming with love and thankfulness. The Micah who returns to town for a second chance with Belle and his daughter is also new and improved. Micah is a sweetheart - a man now committed to real love that follows through with actions and sobriety, tender-hearted, hard-working but still haunted by his past and feelings of inadequacy. His persistent and patient pursuit of Belle is endearing and heart-warming. A glimpse into the life of an obstetrics resident in training through Micah's eyes is fascinating. The theme of true forgiveness and reconciliation is powerful and moving throughout the story. The author handles such tough topics like alcoholism and dementia with care and thoughtfulness. The plot moves at a good pace and a few surprises along the way add extra doses of tension and anticipation to the well-plotted story. If you enjoy a well-written contemporary romance with meat on its bones to chew on for a while, you will absolutely love this book.

I loved every minute of this story and let me tell you why.
Micah and Belle had a past with mistakes and pain in there too. Wow! What an amazing story! This book continually ripped my emotions apart and rebuilt them…over and over again. It is the second book in a series, however, I had not read book one and had no trouble following and loving the storyline.

When the first book in the Along Came Love series was on my top ten favorite reads for 2018 I had incredibly high hopes for the second book in the series. When I finally got my hands on Then Again, Maybe I devoured it, and thought it was a great read, but I will say it didn't capture my heart as much as Penny's story in the first book did.

In the first book, we meet Belle and Micah, the hero/heroine of this book, but the story focuses on Penny (Belle's sister) and Jonah (Micah's cousin), two char When the first book in the Along Came Love series was on my top ten favorite reads for 2018 I had incredibly high hopes for the second book in the series. When I finally got my hands on Then Again, Maybe I devoured it, and thought it was a great read, but I will say it didn't capture my heart as much as Penny's story in the first book did.

In the first book, we meet Belle and Micah, the hero/heroine of this book, but the story focuses on Penny (Belle's sister) and Jonah (Micah's cousin), two characters that still have my heart (you can find my review for At First Glance HERE). Belle was ok, but Micah was a character that was very hard for me to love, and I honestly didn't think anything would make me change my mind about him.

Fast forward three years and we find Belle and Micah, two broken, separate individuals that are living in the uncomfortable circumstances of their respective choices. Seeing where they both ended up, and where this story takes them, had my heart doing a 180. Belle is no longer Ms. Perfection but has instead realized for herself how superficial her life had once been, and is now living in a shell of her former self, but in the best way possible. She is a single mom and entrepreneur, dedicating her life to her passion to help others, and to raise her three year old daughter, Anna, the best way she can. Micah is now a physician, working at the local hospital as an obstetrician, and whole-heartedly wants to make amends to Belle for all the hurt he's caused her. He will do everything in his power to get his message across, whether Belle is ready to hear it or not.

This novel is so full of love, and the true meaning of family, friendship, and forgiveness that I thought my heart would burst. Belle's daughter Anna is beyond adorable and I loved the "Grand's" and seeing Penny and Jonas relationship and where the next chapter takes them as well. The humor and overall warmth was perfection to me, and a great escape. You really feel like these characters are real people with how superbly they are fleshed out.

If I had one complaint, that really is just a small annoyance for me personally, it would be the lack of trust and pointing fingers that Belle exhibits multiple times throughout the story towards Micah. While I can completely understand her reasoning, every time she had one of these moments I would hear the song "Let It Go" playing in my mind, and I couldn't wait to see her own eyes be opened, and that brick wall around her heart crumble.

Then Again, Maybe gave me all the feels and was a great reminder of why I love this author and series so much! The writing flows so seamlessly that I felt like I finished reading it way too quick. Micah redeemed himself in my book, his transformation a beauty to behold, his change genuine and full of grace and that is all thanks to incredible writing. Susan Tuttle is hands down one of my favorite authors right now, and once you read Then Again, Maybe you'll see why.

Just when you think an author can’t outdo herself she goes and gives you this masterpiece! I am honestly a bit speechless trying to come up with the words to describe just how much I adored every single second of this book! I literally lost track of time lost in its pages and as I reached the end I was floating on a cloud of giddy joy! I don’t say this lightly but I’m pretty sure this book was perfection.
If you read book one of this series you know that Micah and Belle were not the most lovable Just when you think an author can’t outdo herself she goes and gives you this masterpiece! I am honestly a bit speechless trying to come up with the words to describe just how much I adored every single second of this book! I literally lost track of time lost in its pages and as I reached the end I was floating on a cloud of giddy joy! I don’t say this lightly but I’m pretty sure this book was perfection.
If you read book one of this series you know that Micah and Belle were not the most lovable people when we first met them. Years of their parents treating them as less than or placing unrealistic expectations on them had really done a number and it came out in words and actions that made me wonder how they could ever be redeemed enough for me to like them. I needn’t have worried though because they were in the hands of a master and wow did she redeem them!
Three years have passed since the events at the end of At First Glance and I loved that there was that gap, because the years had allowed both Micah and Belle to grow and mature and gave authenticity to the fact that they really were different people.
The new and improved Micah seriously gave Jonah a run for his money (and if you don’t understand what I mean by that, see my review of At First Glance and take note of the Jonah crushing). He was everything you could want him to be, from the way he humbly admitted his faults and took full responsibility for his actions, to the way he bent over backward, literally running himself ragged, to be there for Belle and Anna and prove he’d changed, to the way he stood up for himself when the situation demanded it and called things like they were. He reentered Belle and Anna’s lives and refused to back away while also letting Belle have complete control over the pace of everything. He showed her with his every word and action that he was here to stay for Anna and for her if she’d just let him in.
I really loathed Belle a lot in the first book so she had the most work to do in my mind but I loved how between having Anna, getting her relationship with Penny back on the right track, and stepping out from under her mother’s controlling thumb she had softened into a genuinely sweet human being. The way she was determined to not repeat her mother’s mistakes with her own daughter and the way she let Anna be herself was beautiful to watch and I loved how she had turned her whole life into helping others! I also loved how she, like Micah, didn’t hide from or sugarcoat past mistakes but instead owned up to them and determined to be better going forward.
One of the most beautiful things about Tuttle’s writing is the authenticity. The characters feel so real, like people you could meet on the street, and the emotions are so well-written that I honestly find myself feeling them all with the characters, from the laughter and joy , to the pain and heartache I feel like I lived it all right alongside them.
Watching Belle and Micah fight their way not back but forward to a better future was truly beautiful and I was rooting for them every step. Their story was messy and hard but that just made the ending and reconciliation all the sweeter because true love isn’t easy.
I also can’t write this review without mentioning all the secondary characters! I loved catching up with Jonah and Penny, as well as seeing more of Rachel and her son Gavin and meeting Evan (who I think is gonna be someone special)! Plus all of the “Grands” that help out at Belle’s store who were so sweet and funny and gave a good kick in the pants when necessary!
So if all this gushing didn’t make it clear, let me state it again, I FREAKING LOVED THIS BOOK and you need to read it ASAP, no if, ands, or buts about it! ...more

Belle Thornton has thrived at her thrift shop while raising her daughter, but that may just come to an end if she is not careful. Let me start by saying how pleased I was to see Susan L. Tuttle wrote this book. When I first met Belle in At First Glance, she wasn’t too likable. She started to change towards the end of that book and now with her own story playing out, readers get to see how much growth she has made since that first book.

Made the mistake of reading this at work. A customer asked if I was okay because I looked like I had been crying--because I had been throughout most of the book!

One of my struggles with bad boys is the redemption story that often follows. Some of my favorite authors write bad boys so well that I cannot stand them, making it very hard to believe they can ever be redeemed.

“Forgiveness, can you imagine...” This line from Hamilton came back to me several times as I read this book. Neither Belle nor Micah didnt seem too loveable in At First Glance - They were engaged and Micah left Belle at the altar, knowing she was pregnant.
