Utterly ridiculous and absolutely brilliant!

This tale of the actor and the make-up artist could have been drawn out from the Carry On archives providing they'd been mixed in with a bit of Les Dawson sauce and a sprinkling of Absolutely Fabulous.

It's completely lovey, full of swooning and missed opportunities and includes an intriguing intervention from a farmer with a tractor called Nicholas...

Fun, frivolous and flirty, I adored the dashing actor Christopher aka Bunny and his Reuben.

The writing duo of Catherine Curzon and Eleanor Harkstead sends up a short Christmas novella, The Captain’s Snowbound Christmas, featuring a liaison between a handsome actor and a makeup artist. With everything from a possible Santa sighting to gifts magically appearing in stockings, this story is a quick glance at how the wonder of Christmas can bring love when all hope seems to have faded. This novella is a little bit of fantasy wrapped up in a quick romance th

If you adore swashbuckling captains, snowbound cottages, comedies of error and a touch of the magical… Catherine Curzon and Eleanor Harkstead’s ‘The Captain’s Snowbound Christmas’ is for you. This low-angst, slow burn insta-love novella features two clueless men who should never fit together quite as well as they do… But, because it’s that time of year, Santa can grant wishes.

When makeup artist Reuben is booked, last minute, on his favorite show, featuring the gorgeous Captain Firth, aka Chr

The latest Captivating Captain has landed and it’s an absolute hoot and even better as it’s a novella it’s a quick burst of festive fun just when you need it, or in other words; a one sitting romp.

The Captains Snowbound Christmas is apart of the ‘Captivating Captains’ series, but fear not each one is only linked by the fact that they have a ‘Captain’ in them in one way or another, each book is a stand-alone. I don’t have to tell you how much I love this series and have done since that very first

After doing something stupid and blowing their first and he figures only date, Reuben, of ‘The Captain’s Snowbound Christmas’ by Eleanor Harkstead & Catherine Curzon, figures he won’t see Christopher Manners, nicknamed Bunny, anymore. He is looking forward to his next assignment, working at a local Christmas Advent program. Since he has no idea what he will say to him if he sees him, he is hoping that Bunny will not be there. To his dismay, Bunny strides in and flops down in Reuben’s chair to ha ...more

I received a copy of The Captain’s Snowbound Christmas by Catherine Curzon and Eleanor Harkstead from Pride Publishing. This is the second Christmas story I’ve read this week where the HEA comes courtesy of St. Nicholas in one guise or another. That reflects my need for light holiday tales with an element of fantasy to take me away from this year’s quiet celebration. While I’m not a huge fan of television, it was fun to watch the star and the makeup artist hook up. The spoiler-free mixup reminde ...more

I absolutely adored this book. Catherine Curzon and Eleanor Harkstead really know how to write books that are sweet and a bit corny but full of that dry English humor that I just love. I really liked the two main character’s, Reuben, who is a makeup artist and actor Christopher Manners aka Bunny. Their ensuing story is fast paced and full of laugh out loud moments.

While this is a part of the Captivating Captains series, each book is a standalone. The only connection between series is that one of
