We basically open to two islands trying to fuck. Fun times.
But this issue is actually really great. We get to see the council try and think of a way to unite the islands and bring in the other mutants to the fold. Some great confrontations, a cute moment with Doug, and exciting ending. This feels like the next step for the X-Men comic. Count me in! A 4 out of 5.

It's election time on Krakoa, easy vote for me, Storm!

Large sections of this comic consist of nothing more than headshots in a nine panel grid as people discuss things in meetings. There's absolutely no action at all. The closest thing to action is two Ents, for want of a better word, having a silent conversation.
And it's brilliant.
If it wasn't impossible due to the timescales involved, I'd say this was put together as a two fingered salute to that Twitter post that did the rounds recently complaining about three pages of talking heads being a wast ...more

This would be a solid five except for the art. Closeups of faces are excellent, but the limb proportions often appear... off? As though arms and legs are too small for the body? The consequence is that it makes characters appear like children in a number of panels. It’s not a consistent theme, but when it happens it certainly stands out.

Not sure what I was expecting post X of Swords but it wasn't exactly this. While the tension between Arakko and Krakoa is intriguing, I fear it will just come across as a drawn out extension of the conflict that just took place in Otherworld. With Cyclops and Jean, their defiant heroism was one of my favorite scenes of the entire X of Swords storyline. I was hoping there would be lasting repercussions for their decision. So I was a little disappointed by the "let's get back to the way things wer

It’s no small thing to die and be born again.
After a certain amount of time you get tired of wasting talent. Of being part of a fraudulent profession — or actually being a fraud. And, most importantly, not living the life you are capable of having.
I remember the first night I went out with my wife. It was raining, she was beautiful… it was a normal, ordinary, intentionally uneventful, date. But at ...more
