Someone else pointed out in an earlier issue that X-Force isn't really a team book. It's not. You never see everyone who's supposed to be on this "team" together at one time. And it feels like half of these characters hate the other half.
This issue focused a lot on Colossus and his difficulty in forgiving Beast. Along the way we also saw Jean demonstrate how much she disapproves of Beast, repeatedly. She can't stand to be in the same room as him.

How long before our Beast becomes dark like his alt version? He's more than half way there. Jean can see it. Wolverine is just pissed he isn't getting his way. He's like a teenager. You'd think he'd be more mature considering how old he is.
What the hell is the gross vine stuff? It isn't Krakow or else Tom would feel it.

- I don't like where Hank McCoy is going in this arc. I don't like that Xavier isn't checking on Hank and his abuse of executive power.
- I don't trust Kayla; I still find her suspicious. I don't trust that Colossus is actually "clean" – what if his mind **had** been tampered in a way that is undetectable to Jean?
- At the same time, if it's true that Colossus doesn't pose a secret threat to Krakoa, that means it's another instance of X-Men writers throwing clues to fans / readers that turned ou ...more

X-Force is the clearest indication that something is rotten in the state of Krakoa.
And that something is Beast.
Which is a fascinating and completely appropriate direction to take Hank McCoy in.
But while there's something rotten politically at the heart of Krokoa, the island itself seems to have spawned some kind of Lovecraftian whale...maybe that's related. Maybe the rot at the heart of Krakoa's government is also manifesting something physically rotten? I just hope the dog's okay...

Yeah this was ok.
The vampire stuff is mentioned again, the next issue where stuff will happen was set up and we had a few chats.
The Beast story that is being investigated is... Interesting. He's going full loon in how far he will go to protect the nation. That's fine I guess but will it be explored properly (probably not) or is it hinting at something else within him (probably not)

Beast and Jean Grey are really dragging this series down, they're just not X-Force material, and Beast is totally out of character, he went from a ethical scientist who quitted the X-Men because he found out about the X-Force to, well, basically Dark Beast from Age of Apocalypse. Bring one some new faces, fast, and keep Domino and Forge.

I could live without the Dracula and vampire stuff but I'm enjoying the dramatic tension and character-driven aspects of the plot. I hope Colossus stays/becomes a more active member of the group.
