Scott Cawthon is an American independent video game developer, animator, and writer, best known for his creation of the Five Nights at Freddy's franchise.
Great book in its own genre that can both serve as a tool for gamers playing the FNAF games and people hunting for lore. It's nicely edited when it comes to graphics and written in an easy and light style. I am endlessly amused that all the lore sections use phrases like "fans think/assume/theorize" in order not to confirm anything, really. Good read for fans of the franchise!
I actually really enjoyed this book. It gave detailed information on the animatronics among other stuff (not saying much because spoilers). I love reading information about all of the animatronics. They've introduced so many new animatronics and I love it. This book is unfortunately the only book other than The Silver Eyes that I have read regarding the FNAF franchise. I definitely recommend this book to anyone who enjoys FNAF.
A really insightful guide that helps with both the game mechanics, and the lore surrounding the FNAF universe. It has character breakdowns on the animatronics you encounter, and also touches on their personalities more than you get chance whilst terrified playing the actual game. A nice mix of a game guide and almanac of valid information.
The updated edition of the Freddy Files is a poor recycle of the previous book. Old pages that either have numerous mistakes or inaccurate info to games at the time of release still remain in the book. The newer pages also suffer from inaccurate information and countless mistakes. If you're a fan of the games, it's highly recommended you skip this book.
4.5☆ This was a quick read, but I enjoyed it. There were a lot of Easter eggs and lore covered in here, but kept enough of it as mystery and up to fan interpretation. If you want to play the games, this book could be a life saver since it's got game play tips. I recommend checking it out, especially if you're a fan of fnaf.
I really liked this book since it gives information on the different characters in pretty much all the games. I thought some of the theories were a little odd but thats alright. And I thought the three different recipes were pretty cool.
I'm working on a FNAF themed project for work, and had to reimmerse myself in the lore, so I figured I should probably read this and the logbook for research purposes. But I'm also just a huge nerd for this universe, so it's not a miserable chore!
Bastante buena guía de todos los juegos y del lore de estos, aunque faltan detalles y a veces no se explican cosas básicas como quien es William Afton.
Look it was good it took me ages to read for some reason but it had a LOT of typos and pronoun issues which annoyed me considering this is the “updated edition”
I don’t play the games but that was a really good read for me a non game playing fnaf fan, the custom night stuff were really funny and I loved learning more about the games and the lore
This book was nice knowing it talks about the games and not VR help wanted which was nice and it got me past the third game but not the rest of the games
