Excellent read! I was immediately attracted to the beautiful illustrations and timelines. My initial thoughts were “This looks like a really great coffee table book.” I was very wrong. This is a great contemplation of the history of the craft that touches on the worldwide past stories of many midwives, herbalists and healers that (when the patriarchal society needed a scapegoat or a reason for bad things happening) were accused of witchcraft, tortured and killed.

Wow. The illustrations and photos in this book are stunning. The book walks the reader through the history of witches, famous witches in history, mastering your craft, and witches in pop culture.

I had so much fun reading this book. Perfect to get yourself into the spooky season.
