cute, fast, charming, funny, predictable - everything needed for an easy, enjoyable read and everything i have come to love about CLs stories.

even though this technically isnt a fake dating story, it has a very similar feel. it was really rewarding seeing two characters genuinely try to discover if they have a connection. scientific data may have pointed them in a certain direction, but it was the characters choices that made them a couple worth rooting for.

overall, this is exactly the kind of
This is a Romance book. I loved this book so much. This book took me a little bit to get into, but once I got pulled into it I did not want to put it down. The characters where fun and very developed. I love the nerdy parts of this book. Their was a twist in this book, and I loved how it was handle. I loved being with these characters so much that I did not want the book to end. Another great Christina Lauren book. I was kindly provided an e-copy of this book by the publisher (Gallery Books) or ...more

Can you find your soulmate via DNA test? This book is not John Marrs’ One. The subject may be similar but this is truly entertaining, heartwarming and lately the best romcom my favorite duo has written. ( at some parts I loved it more than In A Holidaze because entire characters are adorable and I have to admit we don’t have Fizzy at In a Holidaze, actually all we need more Fizzys in our lives. What a sassy, naughty, funny, loyal, smart, vivid best friend she is! )

Looking for charm, some laughs, some depth, some romance, and fantastic characters? Look no further!

The Soulmate Equation is about a single mom named Jess, who works as a freelance statistician and is obsessed with data and numbers. She lives with her 7-year old daughter, Juno, in an apartment right across from her grandmother and grandfather, who raised her.

Jess’s best friend, Fizzy, is convinced she needs to get back into the world of dating...or at least the occasional roll in the hay. When
This was a really cool concept; I love the idea of a DNA test dating app where your DNA can determine how compatible you are with someone, however these characters just fell so flat for me, I just didn’t care about them. Some parts were so cheesy, but the ending was actually pretty interesting which is why this still got two stars from me. Here’s a reading vlog where I read this book and explain more of my thoughts on it: ...more

Christina Lauren have done it again.

This book was addictive, adorable, funny, and swoon-worthy. I loved every single page.

I'm currently trying to figure out where this stands in my "Christina Lauren Books Ranking" (it's a very official list), and this one is definitely top 3 (along with Josh and Hazel's Guide to Not Dating and The Unhoneymooners, of course). Now to figure out where exactly in the top 3 it belongs.

When an up and coming matchmaking company promises compatibility via participants' DNA, data analyst Jess Davis is skeptical. Getting back into the dating scene has been a bit of a challenge recently – what with raising her seven year old daughter practically on her own and keeping her career afloat. The idea that finding a soulmate could boil down to DNA seems impossible, yet the numbers are begging to be analyzed. Submitting a sample to the company seems simple enough, but Jess doesn'

All the Feels! Simply Magical!

Is it possible to be matched with the love of your life through DNA? Such that you will be soulmates in every way and that every facet of your relationship will be better than you ever could have imagined?

In “The Soulmate Equation” by Christina Lauren, it is GeneticAlly possible. In this sweet, romantic novel, a new dating app is created that matches people by their DNA.

I think The Soulmate Equation has surpassed The Unhoneymooners for my favorite book by Christina Lauren and that is saying a lot! I devoured this in one sitting and am still thinking about it. The Soulmate Equation features Jessica Davis, a down on her luck single mother who feels like she has just been going through the motions without really living her life. She recently lost her biggest client and has been having financial struggles while feeling like she never has time to live her own life. ...more

Hello there! If you're reading this, my soul has left my corporeal being and I'm floating into a separate metaphysical plane because this book has left me OBLITERATED.

It's no secret that I love Christina Lauren. When it comes to my personal reading tastes, they've rarely misstepped or taken even the tiniest of stumbles. And after I got the opportunity to hear them tease this book's concept during a Bad Bitch Book Club meeting back in May, I was already stoked. But The Soulmate Equation goes beyo

This book is the fourth one I’ve read by the writing duo, Christina Lauren, and I’d say it’s my favorite out of the bunch. What stands out with this romance novel is the premise is so darn intriguing. Part of the fun in reading this book is contemplating whether your genetic code might be the key to finding your soulmate.

Single mom Jess Davis works as a freelance statistician. She's only been on a few dates since the birth of her young daughter, Juno. Jess and her friend, Fizzy, frequent a neigh

This is a rounded up 3.5 stars, because I'm always going to round up a Christina Lauren book. The things this book has going for it are many:

1) A love interest who is compared to Keanu Reeves repeatedly.
2) A best friend I believe in.
3) Science nerdiness as foreplay.
4) A cute kid who is recognizably 7 and not moppet-like precocious.
5) An allusion to Mia from the Wild Seasons books!
6) Good, solid chemistry between the protagonists, but it's earned - it takes a while to get there but I believe in e

This book was exactly what I needed and what I was looking for once I dove into it! This is probably one of my favorite Christina Lauren books (My other favorite is ‘Love and Other Words’). I got to read this early, and all I’m going to say is that C and Lo are amazing at what they do. This book gave me so many emotions, lovable characters, and enough nerd love to make my science-loving butt happy. Do yourself a favor and PLEASE read it.

Do you believe in love? Where you find yourself falling madly deeply into the abyss. A love so strong you know you’ve found your soulmate?💞

Now, what if there was a new dating app designed to help you find that soulmate? Matches are made through DNA analysis. Would you try it?🤔

Jess Davis had basically given up on love and the thought of dating left her cold. But when her bestie Fizzy talked her into sending a DNA sample she agreed in a moment of weakness.

Christina Lauren usually never disappoint and I enjoyed this one so much more than there last book; it’s possibly my new favorite of there works.

Who else is a huge Christina Lauren fan?! 🙋🏻‍♀️ I started reading their books with Josh and Hazel and have been obsessed with them ever since. It may have even been my kickstarter back into contemporary romance/rom coms actually, but I always look forward to their latest and this was high up on my most anticipated list. The idea of finding a soulmate via DNA testing was so interesting to me, such a sharp and smart take on a romance premise. I loved the enemies to lovers trope (per usual) and I a ...more

One of the things that attracts me to this writing team is the way that they create their characters. They become like your best friend. The people you would totally hang out with. You get their weird, quirky sense of humor and you appreciate their daily life and struggles. You get to know them really, really well.

And because of that you end up cheering them on when the good happens. Plus you get those deep feels when they s

The Soulmate Equation was my most anticipated read of Spring 2021. So I was beyond excited to get to read it. And I moved it to the front of my TBR pile immediately.

This is my tenth book by this duo. I have read and loved all of their books from the past few years. So I had very high hopes for this book. And I wasn't disappointed.

I went into this book completely blind. And now looking at the detailed book blurb I am glad that I chose to do it this way.

Fun, quirky characters that I could relate to. I loved the original storyline.
I laughed and cried and absolutely could not put this book down. The friendship between Jess and Fizz are total goals and I love River!
I met my husband through so this one immediately appealed to me and I wasn’t let down! This is a must for any CLO fan and for anyone who enjoys fun romance!

I hadn't read anything by Christina Lauren before picking up In a Holidaze last month, but I enjoyed it so much that when I saw a galley of their latest on Edelweiss, I immediately grabbed it. Maybe my expectations were too high, but this one was very much "just okay."

This is about Jess, a single mother living in San Diego who has several off-putting interactions with River, the founder of a dating app that uses DNA to match singles. Then her friend convinces her to submit a sample to the co

I was so excited to read this especially when I had read In a Holidaze not too long ago! Jess Davis is a single mom & a data/statistics genius to seven year old Juno. Jess is quite nervous about the dating scene then she hears about GeneticAlly, a DNA based matchmaking company. It claims the probability of finding a soulmate is high! We're almost halfway into February and I'm already doing a terrible job at keeping up with reviews, yay! I finished this early January, OBVIOUSLY loved it, and now here I am, a month later, trying to remember all of my initial giddiness.

Thank you Netgalley for this ARC in exchange for an honest review. These words are my own.

WOW, I don't know what I was expecting out of The Soulmate Equation, but it definitely was not this.

This was such a << don't talk to me until I'm finished>> read. Surprisingly enough, this was also my first Christina Lauren book and if this is any indication of their other work, this won’t be my last. In just a few words, this book is insanely nerdy, funny, and charming. Who would have thought that I'd a
