This was so different and fun and adorable! I'd say this is a favourite of their recent releases. There was something about the concept of the data based dating app and the 98% match that totalllly hooked me on the chemistry between the characters! It took awhile for the relationship to get going which is my only complaint, but once it did I couldn't stop reading. But besides the romance, I loved the support system Jess had. Her grandparents, her best friend Fizzy, they all were so supportive of ...more

cute, fast, charming, funny, predictable - everything needed for an easy, enjoyable read and everything i have come to love about CLs stories.

even though this technically isnt a fake dating story, it has a very similar feel. it was really rewarding seeing two characters genuinely try to discover if they have a connection. scientific data may have pointed them in a certain direction, but it was the characters choices that made them a couple worth rooting for.

This is a Romance book. I loved this book so much. This book took me a little bit to get into, but once I got pulled into it I did not want to put it down. The characters where fun and very developed. I love the nerdy parts of this book. Their was a twist in this book, and I loved how it was handle. I loved being with these characters so much that I did not want the book to end. This is another great Christina Lauren book. Can you find your soulmate via DNA test? This book is not John Marrs’ One. The subject may be similar but this is truly entertaining, heartwarming and lately the best romcom my favorite duo has written. ( at some parts I loved it more than In A Holidaze because entire characters are adorable and I have to admit we don’t have Fizzy at In a Holidaze, actually all we need more Fizzys in our lives. What a sassy, naughty, funny, loyal, smart, vivid best friend she is! )

It was adorable, with fantastic characters, and an engaging story. You guys are going to LOVE it!!!
Also I'm still swooning because of all the nerdy vibes and her daughter and grandpa charmed the pants off me - they were PRECIOUS!!!!

Do you believe in love? Where you find yourself falling madly deeply into the abyss. A love so strong you know you’ve found your soulmate?💞

Now, what if there was a new dating app designed to help you find that soulmate? Matches are made through DNA analysis. Would you try it?🤔

Jess Davis had basically given up on love and the thought of dating left her cold. But when her bestie Fizzy talked her into sending a DNA sample she agreed in a moment of weakness.

When the results come back Jess is matche

The more I think about The Soulmate Equation the more I struggle with what to rate it and how to review it. The problem is there were so many things I loved about this book. I loved a lot of the characters, the familial aspects, the premise of the story was compelling and I wanted to love this one. I honestly thought it could be a five star favorite at the start, but there were a few things that just didn't work for me personally.

You can tell a lot about what this story is about

The Soulmate Equation is about a single mom named Jess, who works as a freelance statistician and is obsessed with data and numbers. She lives with her 7-year old daughter, Juno, in an apartment right across from her grandmother and grandfather, who raised her.

Jess’s best friend, Fizzy, is convinced she needs to get back into the world of dating...or at least the occasional roll in the hay. When

All the Feels! Simply Magical!

Is it possible to be matched with the love of your life through DNA? Such that you will be soulmates in every way and that every facet of your relationship will be better than you ever could have imagined?

In “The Soulmate Equation” by Christina Lauren, it is GeneticAlly possible. In this sweet, romantic novel, a new dating app is created that matches people by their DNA.

Jess Davis is a single mom
This was a really cool concept; I love the idea of a DNA test dating app where your DNA can determine how compatible you are with someone, however these characters just fell so flat for me, I just didn’t care about them. Some parts were so cheesy, but the ending was actually pretty interesting which is why this still got two stars from me. If The One was turned into a romance novel, it would be this - and I really enjoyed it. This book has a lot going for it besides just the romance too. There's a funny friend, work problems, and various family relationships (including a kid for those who want to know about that beforehand). This is only my fourth book by this author-duo (I say only because a lot of people have read a lot more of their books) and so far this is my favorite for what it's worth. ...more

DNA and dating/soulmate matching sites/apps seem to be all the rage these days in books. Heck, if you can find out your ancestry from a DNA Swab, whey not find your soulmate?

Statistician and single mom, Jess has not dated since her daughter, Juno, was born. But her best friend, Fizzy wants to put an end to that. BTW, Fizzy is the best! We all need a Fizzy in our lives! With Fizzy's encouragement, Jess submits her sample and is soon called into GeneticAlly, a buzzy new DNA-based matchmaking compa

This book is the fourth one I’ve read by the writing duo, Christina Lauren, and I’d say it’s my favorite out of the bunch. What stands out with this romance novel is the premise is so darn intriguing. Part of the fun in reading this book is contemplating whether your genetic code might be the key to finding your soulmate.

Single mom Jess Davis works as a freelance statistician. She's only been on a few dates since the birth of her young daughter, Juno. Jess and her friend, Fizzy, frequent a neigh

This book was addictive, adorable, funny, and swoon-worthy. I loved every single page.

I'm currently trying to figure out where this stands in my "Christina Lauren Books Ranking" (it's a very official list), and this one is definitely top 3 (along with Josh and Hazel's Guide to Not Dating and The Unhoneymooners, of course). Now to figure out where exactly in the top 3 it belongs.

This was just okay. The beginning was very slow and I had a really hard time finding the motivation to keep on reading; it takes a long time to care bout this romance. Jess is a single mom who sends her saliva in to be tested for a DNA dating site. The DNA is compared to other DNA sent in to the app and tested for compatibility. Jess and River ended up having a Diamond Match, which is the highest match ever recorded on the app. I liked Jess and River enough, but nothing was drawing me

I think The Soulmate Equation has surpassed The Unhoneymooners for my favorite book by Christina Lauren and that is saying a lot! I devoured this in one sitting and am still thinking about it. She recently lost her biggest client and has been having financial struggles while feeling like she never has time to live her own life. ...more

When an up and coming matchmaking company promises compatibility via participants' DNA, data analyst Jess Davis is skeptical. Getting back into the dating scene has been a bit of a challenge recently – what with raising her seven year old daughter practically on her own and keeping her career afloat. The idea that finding a soulmate could boil down to DNA seems impossible, yet the numbers are begging to be analyzed. Submitting a sample to the company seems simple enough, but Jess doesn'

I am between 4 and 4.5 stars, so per my ARC review policy, I am rounding up to 4.5 stars. This is definitely my favorite Christina Lauren since THE UNHONEYMOONERS! Now, to be fair, this has a lot of my trope candy, particularly nerdy MCs, a slow burn pace, and a fake dating plot engine. But I think this is a real return to form with a true romance that still has all of the trademark humor, the moving character dynamics, and the steamy scenes that I expect from the best CL books. It had a refreshing plot of finding your soulmate through genetics’ compatibility but it fell flat, the MCs were plain and couldn’t feel any chemistry.

It’s time for me to not read more books about these authors, since The Unhoneymooners it went downhill for me.

eh cool concept, but execution was lame. no spark, no chemistry between the leads. the romance was ~dRy~ despite the hero being named River. well, at least now i know for sure CL and i are not a ✦Diamond Match✦, and thats fine by me. thank u for not completely being a waste of time tho. 🙃

Data analyst, Jess, submits her DNA sample to a dating service and finds her "perfect" match River, a guy she simply loathes. Will Jess allow science to dictate her life? Will Jess and River find love?

This book was super cute, and the dialogue was funny and real. It was predictable in many ways, but it was funky and cool. The Soulmate Equation also had imperfect characters (which I am always a sucker for). However, the first 75% of the book was really strong, and the last 25% was just eh. Some o

Can science help determine who we’re best suited for? That's the question at the heart of The Soulmate Equation , Christina Lauren's latest romance. They get their science on and I loved every minute of it. This is definitely one of my new favorites of theirs!

2.5 I give the concept an A+ but the delivery was more like an average. From the hero’s reaction towards the heroine, I would suppose that the DNA results had more of a placebo effect on him but I’m all too aware that some of us may react in a different manner when we’re attracted to people. Hence, the initial indifference. What missed the mark for me was the chemistry, or lack thereof. The reason they interacted in the first place was because of science (their DNA matched compatibility-wise wit ...more
