Opening a new pumpkin patch in a small town seems like a sensible move for Henry, who wants nothing more than to live a simple, stable life. When he impulsively complicates everything by offering a job to cute single mom Jane, he realizes he's got a lot more work to do: both on the farm, and on his finessing his new employee.
Jane has moved back to her hometown to start over, hoping a change of scenery and proximity to her best friend, Rocket, will provide the stability she wants for her daughter and for herself. The last thing she needs is a man, least of all one who’s her boss. If only he’d stop being so attractive in that sweaty shirt … and smelling so good … and looking at her like that, she might be able to concentrate on her work.
Come along for some good old-fashioned autumn fun with Henry and Jane, and stay for the not-so-wholesome pumpkin patch shenanigans! Don’t worry. Henry’s gourds are extremely sturdy.

Review : Jane is a single mom and meets Henry at a state fair . Henry is a pumpkin farmer . Henry offers Jane a job . Jane has been through a lot when she got pregnant her daughter dad didn't even acknowledge her as his kid but now he wants to be involved he's been sending texts and voice-mail to Jane . Jane and Henry get close fast and end up kissing and having sex on a pumpkin then Carl shows up and Jane tells him that her and Henry got married and he adopted Sarah. Henry wants that to be true and she says yes . Five years later they are married Jane has a business of her own and she's pregnant again they had another kid after Sarah this was such a cute story .
Quotes : I would love to tug off that sweaty shirt to see what’s underneath. I wouldn’t even care if his tummy was slightly soft; it would only remind me of the way he chowed down on those funnel cakes, and the memory is sexy as hell.
The autumn afternoon sunshine casts a special light on a guy like Henry, especially when a guy like Henry decides to pull off his sweaty shirt and toss it aside while working close to me in the pumpkin patch. This, the sight of his glistening shoulders, chest—and yes, his just slightly soft middle—might be the thing that causes heat exhaustion. Not the sun.

Well dang it if this isn't the perfect story to get me in the Halloween mood. It has a pumpkin patch, a corn maze a single mother, a hot man, instalove, sweetness galore and is a safe read. What more do you need in a story?! I loved that this is the standalone but companion story to Butter Queen. As we have meet Henry in that story. I also loved that it was perfectly themes and has everything I look for in a romance story. Steam and passion as well a a fun story line. I cannot get enough holiday themes and this authors is brilliant at them. I highly recommend it! 4.25 stars!
Rumors are just that, they start and build and spread. Add them to a small town and it cpuld be devastating to a small business owner. Henry, we met in Jet and Rockets story The Butter Queen, is just about ready to open his pumpkin patch. Jane, single mother of Sarah who met Henry at the Butter Queen pageant lost Henry's number when little Sarah deleted all of her contacts. Don't worry about it, fate has plans for these three. Jane end up working for Henry, but Jane has a secret talent that Henry finds hot. Rumors have a way of messing up plans and relationships. But Jane takes the rumors in stride, she is smart and trusts her instincts, well her ex is a bad example, Carl is a rotten apple. Soon the work relationship is not enough a kiss almost ruins it all and only because was that good and it scared Jane into quitting. To bad Henry is hooked. Jet had the perfect military physical body. Henry has the perfect hot dad bod. Their attention is naughty. The phone call...whew Se* on Big Daddy. The ex tries to kidnap Sarah Jane finds her power A little white lie.... Henry make it true Jane has big ideas for this small town... All the improvements she made on the pumpkin patch made it the most sought after entertainment in the state... Her business incubator ideas are a hit. Uncle Howie could of benefited and flourished if Jane was around. Jane and Henry's story is a lot of laughs, some great ideas and a whole lot of naughty. I received a advanced copy of the book for my honest review
Pumpkin King by Abby Knox put such a huge smile on my face, and also seriously contributed to a strong urge for some pumpkin pie! I loved this standalone that referenced Butter Queen with characters that cross over! It made my heart happy!
Jane is so sweet! And Henry? Adorable! And Sarah? ABSOLUTELY steals the show from time to time being the cuteness that she is on overload!
There's charm and innuendo and good old fashioned ribbing that leads to chemistry and laughter and charming moments that fully draw you into the story and make it wholly worth your while!
The story will leave you chuckling and happy, the chemistry is on point, and all in all, it's a tale that'll remind you of the good in life and in people, and Jane and Henry are such perfect examples of that! So, what are you waiting for? Go fall in love with the Pumpkin King and his girl!
This is a single mother insta fast paced romance that has all the feels. You meet Henry in butter queen as Jets best friend and Jane is rockets best friend.
From the moment these two meet you feel the chemistry between them and fall for Henry because of how well he treats Janes daughter Sarah. When Jane needs a job after leaving her past, Henry offers her one working with him but both are scared to cross the line. The more time they spend together the more their feelings grow and boundaries are crossed until they both realize they are it for each other. There were beautiful moments between Henry and baby Sarah that made my heart melt.
You will swoon, laugh, fan yourself a lot and feel content by the end. I couldn’t put this book down and highly recommend it. I can’t wait to read more by Abby Knox.
I was looking for a Halloween romance read, and I thought this was worth checking out. Turns out, this is not Halloween romance. This is actually an Autumn romance. It's about this man who is starting a pumpkin patch, and then he hired the new woman in town that he has the hots for. And it's really freaking adorable!
One of the highlights in this book was the heroine's baby. Is she important in the story? Not so much. But if you think extra baby adorable-ness including in the book is important, then yes, the baby is important! LOL!
Anyway, this is also an insta-love thing that I wasn't all over. But I love the way their love story develops. It was very good and it was very cute.
If anything, I thought the hero was too perfect. I mean, he is the town's pariah... but it's not even his fault, so... he's just too perfect... And I'm not into that.
Other than that, the novella is adorable and it's very festive for Fall.
OMG, if you loved Butter Queen, you need Pumpkin King! I knew that Henry's story would be amazing, he was just adorable when we met him in Rocket and Jet's book. When he gets friendly with Jane, keeping her toddler amused during the beauty pageant, I had my fingers crossed that this would be his happy ever after. I totally adored them together. Right from the start, you can feel how right they are for each other. Frankly, I couldn't keep the smile off my face as I experienced the adorableness that is Henry and Jane, baby Sarah was a serious bonus! If you love quirky tales filled with sweetness and enough heat to melt steel, Abby Knox is who you need to be reading. Ten stars for Pumpkin King!
I received this book in exchange for a review. As usual Abby Knox never fails to put out a darn good story. Characters I met in Butter Queen are back here, but this time we have our attention on Harry, the pumpkin farmer and Jane, with a sweet little daughter who just manages to delete all her mum's contacts from her phone. Fun and chaos follow as that little act sets wheels in motion. In this story we have sweet romance (what else would one expect from a small country town), fun, patience, humility, a hot guy (duh!), devotion and tenacity. I know when I see a book with Abby Knox's name on it - it's going to a good read and I recommend this one.
This was so sweet! A true man, hanging out at the fair for his friends, meets the women of his dreams, both the mom & her little girl. Henry takes to Jane and her daughter Sarah instantly, and when they meet up again a few days later, he decides to do everything he can to make them both his. And the more time they spend together, the more they feel like his family. Jane may try to take things slow, but she just can’t resist him. And soon they truly become the family they both want. I loved their story ❤️
I absolutely loved this book! It’s a companion to Butter Face which is also highly recommended. This book focuses on Henry and Jane with a healthy dose of her 14 month old adorable daughter. Henry is amazing with Sarah her little girl, which is heart melting for the reader and heroine. Jane and Henry fight their chemistry until they give up. Let’s just say you will never look at a pumpkin the same way again. A great escape read!
Nothing better than a super hunky alpha male who knows how to grow pumpkins!! Henry is just starting to open his own pumpkin patch when he meets the new in town Jane and her adorable toddler.
Hoping for a fresh start Jane has relocated and looking for a job when she happens by the pumpkin king himself.
Sparks are flying and their chemistry is amazing. A definite five star read
How does Abby Knox make a 600 pound pumpkin a part of a steamy adult activities? You have to definitely read this one to find out. I loved the meet cute between Jane and Henry. The added plus was Jane's daughter Sarah. Totally made me want some funnel cake. TW: verbal abuse from ex via phone calls, text msgs and face to face, and unwanted child from father
All the fall feels with this book!! Henry and Jane’s story is just what I needed while I read curled up under a blanket with my hot tea. Their attraction is instant, love is fast and intense with just the right amount of sexy. This one is a must read for sure! I received this book as an advanced reader copy in exchange for an honest review.
Jane , Henry, and Sarah... You have to love all three of them. Jane & Henry were so incredible together. They share such a connection. And little Sarah was such a sweetheart. This was a wonderful story. Sweet, fun, and incredible! Look forward to reading more!
I loved this. It was so refreshing. I adored Henry. Who doesn’t love a kind tender man who loves kids and who know who he wants and goes after her and then is a dirty talker in bed. The book was sweet yet hot with a full storyline and great writing.
Love is in the fall air. Such a spicy feel good story that leaves a smile on your face. I loved the insta love between Sara(Jane's little girl), Jane and Henry. The plot was great, the story telling fantastic and the characters vivid.
Such a good read!! I love books with strong men who can see a woman and not run because she has a child. Henry was so good to Sarah as soon as they met. Jane did what she had to do to keep her daughter safe!! The book makes me want to go have some fun on Big Daddy!! Lol
