It was a night of passion with two best friends.
How was I supposed to know they’d end up being my teachers?
Professor Carter refuses to acknowledge me.
He doesn’t do his students. And he doesn’t do relationships. It’s the only way he knows to protect his broken heart.
Professor Everett is the sweetest.

Ehhh... it was just okay.
I really liked Tru and their outfits
Ev was sweet
Charter pissed me the fuck off
But there came a point when I stopped caring about these characters and wether Carter would finally pull his head out of his ass and stop hurting Ev or when they would finally be in a relationship. The writing style wasn’t my favorite so that added to my dislike and my lack of investment in the story. The characters were all pretty bland and one dimensional. Tru, Everett and Carter
What starts out as just a one night encounter, turns into so much more. I’ll be honest I was really not a fan of Carter. He’s was abrasive and too set in his ways AND almost ruined everything.
For an mmm, I was hoping for more balance which happens eventually..but Ev and Tru were my favorite.
So... the Valentine’s Day sex made me want to bleach my brain.. chocolate sauce and anal sex together is not the sexy visual I’d want in a book unless that’s your kink. But scat is n ...more

This was just okay. I started off really not liking Carter. He was a huge ass and yeah, I get that he was hurt by his ex but it’s been 6 years and he is still all messed up over it. He won’t admit his feelings for his best friend, Everett, but he still hooks up with lots of other guys, as described by his “promiscuous and slutty ways.” Meh, don’t love characters like that.
Everett has been in love with Carter since they were teenagers but has never admitted it either. So he’s hurting every time ...more

I really loved Everett, Carter and Tru story. The chemistry between them is off the charts and the way they try to resist at first is hilarious and painful. Everett and Carter were best friends for a long time with feelings for each other but unknowingly for them. When Carter’s ex cheats on him, something broke inside him and is afraid to open to love and feelings.

Wish it was longer. It was a fun, relatively short read. Carter was a super douche for the first 11 chapters. We get it, your ex was horrible but it does not excuse the borderline verbally abusive behaviour to both Tru and Everett. Once he’s in however, he’s all in which is good to see but seems like a shock turnabout. Everett is a sweet open hearted man who just once to be loved. And Tru! Wow! It’s refreshing to see such a sex positive, makes no apologies for what they want character. This book

I like this read. It was sweet and fluffy with a little angst.
I enjoyed that the trio didn't have an established couple adding a third as such.
The tension and insta lust was well written and the classroom parts hot!
Tru, Carter and Ev work but I did have a couple of concerns ..first they were keeping it secret for a bit but were out for dinner in public and second, Carter change of heart, guess I would have like a bit more angst and a bigger id like to be a part of this moment.

Steamy to romance
When I first.started reading this book I was thinking it was going to be just a steamy book full of sex scenes.. well it does jump right into it doesn't it?
But it went from steamy to Carter being a fool to oh I'm really liking this story.
Tru really does make Everett and Carters lives better. Everett and his patience and love help Carter to see that Tru is what they needed and being closed off is not what Everett wanted anymore.

"Me Three" is the third volume in "A Proper Education" by Rhys Everly, a series in which the main prompt is one of my favorite ones, namely student/teacher. What can I say about this installment? Let's start with the characters, because their complex psychological structure is certainly their great advantage. The author puts a lot of emphasis on Tru's, Everett's and Carter's psyche and the problems they struggle with, whether it is an ex-boyfriend who has destroyed faith in a relationship or low

DNF at 30%, and I had literally to grit my teeth in order to get there. The story turned me off from page one and I've remained resolutely off up to the exit point.
1. The story begins with a sex scene. We know nothing about the characters at this point. Not even how they look. We actually have to collect together bits and pieces thrown at random during the scene. You can't write an effective sex scene like that. Try imagining disembodied body parts having sex. That's the effect.

Ohhh...Me Three is a fabulous menage romance by Rhys Everly. The second book in the A Proper Education series, it's easily read as a standalone.
Of course, the storyline is intriguing. Two best friends who are friends with benefits. A non-binary third for a night. Yes please!
Luckily for all of us, the author excels in developing this tale and treating us to a fantastic friends to lovers romance.

Tru, Carter, and Everett's romance was undeniably sweet, but I wish the rest of the story had been more fully developed. This story had the potential to be deeply emotional and captivating, but the way it was written made it hard for me to get fully on board. On the one hand, I thought the romantic progression was really touching--the way Carter opened up over time and allowed Everett and Tru to love him was heartwarming, and it was so sweet to see Everett gain some confidence in his body. Such a refreshing and much needed add to the genre. Very rarely do we see non binary characters as a main character. The few I’ve seen have been secondary characters with small parts in the story. That being said it was hard to get used to them/they pronouns (hence not seeing a lot of enby characters) which isn’t a bad thing, it just shows the lack of inclusivity. Tru is a great character, I think they are well represented and well written without them being portrayed as an over the top characte

Teacher/student isn’t a trope I set out to read. However, I thoroughly enjoyed this book. There were so many sexy, delicious, and downright dirty scenes between Everett, Carter, and Tru (They/Them). Loved it!

It was extremely frustrating, but everyone processes their emotions and disastrous past relationships differently. This novel begins with a pretty epic threesome between Carter, Everett, and Tru. The chemistry is thus well-established from the beginning, and clearly off the charts, but before they can all be together, there are one or two tiny issues to work through first. Such as the fact that Carter has massive baggage from a previous relationship and only barely tolerates friends with benefits with Everett, his best friend and roommate. Or the fact that Tru is a student at the college both Carter and Ever

Definitely a hot ménage addition to the Rhys Everly wheelhouse. Although I do not know IRL, nor have ever read about a non-binary character I was willing to give this book a chance b/c I love the author’s writing and I was not disappointed. The heat starts right from the first page, as that is the first hookup b/t Carter, Everett and Tru. But after the amazing time they all seem to have Carter shuts down and takes his leave. He never does repeats. Except for Everett, who is his best friend/roomm

This is an entertaining, pretty low-angst story of two university professors who have a one-night stand with a student that becomes much more. It takes a non-binary student to bridge the gap between two best-friends-with-benefits professors, but can they get over their personal hang-ups to see what they really mean to each other, or will jealousy and old hurts interfere? There are personal issues that create roadblocks, including a past relationship that went bad, insecurities, jealousy, fear, a

Sweet, Party of Three
I’m going to admit that I typically don’t read poly love stories. I make exceptions, and Mr. Everly hit two of them in one go. First: duh, I enjoy Rhys Everly’s storytelling skills; secondly I already fell in love with the series, and enjoyed Tru in Beau Pair. I was not about to pass up an opportunity to read his story, and I’m glad I read it.

Thank you for the ARC read, I voluntarily give this book an honest review. A Cinderfella hook-up leaves Tru, Carter and Everett with a dilemma. Carter's one steamy night with out compilation? What a "laugh" to walk in to calculus and see the onenighter sitting in the row. Everett is tickled pink to see them in both of their classes after all what was the odds of the only other person to stick in Everett mind longer than a few days? Everyone has fears but will those fears stop them or will ones

I haven’t read the first book in this series and so didn’t know what to expect.
So .... ᗯOᗩᕼ at the ꌚꏂꉧ.
I certainly wasn’t expecting all that right off the bat!!
There is an interesting dynamic in this story. Usually with a student/professor or other age gap trope, the younger character is more shy, untried, even innocent or unsure {or both}. Tru is none of those!! While it seems unlikely that such a young person {who still lives with their parents} is so sexually aware and in a healthy, ...more

Here is book 2 in this low angst sweet series about teacher/student relationships. This one is less than conventional. Tru is finding themselves attracted to two different professors at their university: Everett is sweet and Carter is aloof and distrustful. Somehow those two have a friends with benefits arrangement that honestly holds them back but Carter is too afraid of losing everything to admit to any feelings. The magic of this book is the three of them realizing that they are so much bette

Let me say this story starts off sizzling and doesn't stop. Tru, Carter and Everett chemistry burns hotly page after page. Love that Tru is young but knows what he wants. He takes charge of Carter and Everett which was a surprise. Most of the time when it's a Teacher/Student story, the teachers are ..well..the teachers, lol. But not here. Carter had a lot of inner demons to conquer which made him flip flop but once he gave it a go, there was no stopping him. Everett was patient and sweet. He did

This would have been a great m/m story. Everette and True were great characters. The 2 of them were sweet and fun and made a great couple. Carter was a total D and ruined the enjoyment for me. Yes he's been hurt before, who hasn't. I couldn't empathize with him. He was too rude to the other 2. Me Three is part of A Proper Education series. This was an enjoyable book about a non-binary student, Tru, and two of their teachers, Carter and Everett. I liked how strong Tru was and wasn't afraid to go after what they wanted. It was nice to see a non-binary MC. This book was on fire from page 1! Everett and Carter have been besties since they were kids and have a bit of a friends with benefits thing going on. Tru happens to be the lucky middle in this (very much unknown to him) teacher sandwich. What starts out as a one time hook-up before classes start, gets a little awkward when Tru realizes the hot duo they can't stop thinking about, are also their professors. They also realizes that they want another go with them. There are many reasons this trio s

This is one naughty little treat and then some! I love the forbidden aspect of the teacher/student trope, and Rhys takes it a step further - with two teachers! These three are perfect for each other, it just takes one of them a little time (and work) to figure it all out. The steamy fun times are off the charts smoking hot and very interesting and entertaining. There are also plenty of feels to go along with al the kinkiness. This is a very enjoyable read, and I've already recommended it to seve

I really enjoyed getting to know Ev, Carter, and Tru. The scenes were so steamy and started right away. I loved the dynamic between the three of them. Ev is so great and I wanted to hug away his insecurities, Carter was a jerk but I understood where he was coming from and I wanted to hug away his past hurt, and then Tru was just so adorable in their own right; I loved the different sides of them. The characters, as always in a Rhys Everly book, were relatable and lovable. I loved seeing the coup
