About the author

David and Hazel Arnold became involved in dogs when they borrowed a neighbor's Beagle and took him to a dog show. They decided to obtain their first Beagle from a Texas gentleman who was to become a close friend. This beagle, Yaupon Row Mackinaw, became their first champion. They founded Hayday Kennels and in the ensuing years have produced over 40 champions. They are now licensed judges with the American Kennel Club and have served not only their local Beagle club but also the world-famous Astro World Series of Dog Shows in Houston, Texas for nearly 20 years.
