Ever After Always
Buckle up for an emotional journey of hijinks, heartache, and a hot slow-burn in this marriage-in-crisis romance about going the distance to make love last.
I’ve spent twelve years loving Freya Bergman and twelve lifetimes won’t be enough to give her everything she deserves. She’s my passionate, tender-hearted wife, my best friend, and all I want is to make...more
The second chance marriage story that I have been waiting for!
This amazing book had:
🌴A marriage in crisis,
🌴Slow burn lurrrve,
🌴A curvy goddess,
🌴Forced proximity on a family holiday, with meddling siblings! 🙌
Ever After Always is the third book in the Bergman series by Chloe Liese, and it was my favourite one so far! I apologise if this is a rambly mess, I couldn't even read my notes 😂

Last year I read both of Chloe Liese's 'Bergman Brothers' books and I was hooked. I knew I would devour anything and everything she wrote. I couldn't wait to get another Bergman story and I was happy to find out that this one was Freya and Aiden's.
Freya and Aiden have been married almost ten years but recently, something has changed. They used to have such an easy love, and now things are difficult. So difficult that Freya asks Aiden to leave for a bit and give her some space. This ...more
This may be the best marriage in crises story I’ve ever read! I rarely pick second chance romances because I’m such a cynical human being and I kinda don’t believe in them, but this book made even a cynical like me feel things! And oh how I felt every single emotion! That’s why Chloe Liese became an auto read author for me. To write a book like that? She’s just amazing. Seriously if you haven’t picked this series yet, do yourself a favour and check it out!

This is my first Bergman Sister romance about two people who love each other deeply yet struggle against life’s currents pulling them apart. Writing this book was an emotional challenge but ultimately a joy, much like Freya & Aiden’s marriage.

Chloe Liese is brave and skilled author to bring life to neurodiverse, unique, quirky but connectable and adorable characters! You don’t just like them or feel sympathy for them, you feel like they’re huge part of your family or your real close friends. You just want to hug them tight, knitting colorful Christmas sweaters for them!

“It’s a choice, a belief, I choose you, my Ever After, believing our love will sustain us, always. Ever After Always.”
The marriage in crisis trope is god tier and severely underrated.

“How have you never groveled?” “Because before Freya, no one was worth groveling for,” I mumble.

Freya and Aidan have been married for a decade, but recently Freya has felt Aidan pulling away. Tired of going through the motions, Freya packs Aidan's bags and asks for some space.
I really felt for these characters and their emotional pain that they both are keeping close to the vest. The communication breakdown in the marriage is the hurdle that both Aidan and Freya must learn to overcome.
Aidan suggests marriage counseling after not ...more
1️⃣ I shy away from "fixing the broken marriage" romances. I need a romance to have good conflict, but this trope has too much sadness for me. Yes, they get the HEA in the end, but the journey there is painful. Fighting and tears and screaming and sobbing and slamming doors and insults. This book seemed even more hostile than ...more

If you don't know this series, they follow the Bergman siblings as they find love and navigate through life with all their ups and downs. Wow, this book was in its feelings from start to finish. Naturally the one thing that made me tear up was the plot twist/reveal that was secondary to the story, the rest, all the heartfelt conversations, all the heartbreaking confessions left me 😐

Wow. Reading this made me feel so mature like I would know exactly what to do and not to do if I ever face my own marriage-in-crisis in the future LMAO (although I have no idea how realistic everything in this book is because I have no experience 😂)

if i had to describe this story with one word, it would be vulnerable. it’s really hard to portray feelings as well as chloe does. when you read her books, you can totally understand what her characters are feeling, and in this book’s case, it was raw and emotional and heartfelt.

Despite the quote I chose above, Ever After Always is a complex story woven with the utmost care, compassion, honesty, and maturity. Ever After Always(Bergman Brothers #3) by Chloe Liese
I've been dreading writing this review because I don't think I can properly put into words how much I loved this book. And for different reasons than the other books in this series.

Freya and Aiden are absolutely adorable and I loved how Chloe Liese portrayed such a realistic relationship while showing all their ups and downs. In book 3, Ever After Always, the heroine, Freya is one of two sisters in the family. She's the eldest sibling.
She's been married to Aiden for 10 years.
Aiden is a college professor- who was also in book 1. He has a very different role in this book.. Their marriage is in trouble. Aiden is desperate to save their marriage.
Freya is about to leave Aiden and file for divorce.
