Crow is the second full-length book in the Faeries of Oz series written by Candace Robinson and Amber R. Duell. In 2020, I read the previous two novels and the intro short story in this fantasy re-telling of a tale we all loved as children (and many of us still do as adults). Imagine there were more complex histories than what we all knew in Wizard of Oz, and if you never read the other pieces in the traditional early 20th century collection, you missed out. Luckily, Robinson and Duell borrow el ...more

Crow and Reva! I loved them both so much and had such a blast co-writing this one!

We’ve all watched the wonder of Oz, of Dorothy’s adventure and the magic of the land, but what happened when everyone grew up? What happened in the adult version? Take a stroll down the yellow brick road as you have never seen it in Candace Robinson’s and Amber R. Duell’s take on Oz, in the second of the Fairies of Oz series, CROW and discover the rest of the story, all grown up and edgier.

Rarely can one find two authors’ voices blend so harmoniously as they dare to turn childhood fantasies into

After reading both “Lion” and “Tin” (the prequel and first book in the series) I already knew that “Crow” will be an amazing story set in this re-imagined world of Oz, courtesy of Robinson and Duell. Nevertheless, “Crow” surpassed any expectation I might have (and believe me when I confess having many 😊).

“Crow” is a wonderful story that perfectly link the original “Wizard of Oz” story with this re-imagined version. A story about love, loss, redemption, valor and courage. Crow used to be a scare

Thank you so much Candace for reaching out for me to get to read this early! All opinions are my own.
True rating: 4.5/5

Lord, I don’t know how or why, but these books are so good! I loved the first one, and the second one is just as good. Crow was such a lurking figure in Tin and I couldn’t wait to get my hands on this to find out more.

It didn’t disappoint. Also including Reva, formerly the Wicked Witch of the West, we get to know them both as we follow them on their journey to take down Locas

Entertaining and enlightening! So many things we didn't learn about Oz before are presented in this adult version and Crow has become a fascinating man. Sooo good! I loved the slow building relationship between Crow and Reva. Reva was slightly arrogant but still likeable. I would read this again and again!

Crow is the second book in the Faeries of Oz series, and it’ll be released in a couple weeks. There’s also a prequel titled Lion, and a third book that will be released in the fall about Ozma. Ozma is a character that has already been introduced, and I’m so intrigued! I can’t wait to dive into this one as well! Lion is a super quick read, and sucks you right in. Although they each have flawless world building and can be easily read as a standalone, Lion is still a must read for me. I can’t decid ...more

This version of Oz has become one of my favorite series. I've absolutely loved getting to know Crow and Reva more in this book and following their quest to defeat the witch who took everything from them. There were high stakes and lots suspense, but I really appreciated those funny moments that made me laugh out loud. I can definitely see why Crow and Reva were drawn together, which makes it all the more heartbreaking what they went through. I really enjoyed how this one played out, and I am so ...more

I love this story. Crow and Reva's love is just simply amazing. I loved getting to know Crow and who he is. This twisted fairy tale is one of my favorites. Being able to know Tin and Lion and now Crow, I love all three of these stories. I didn't want to put it down. ...more

I was given ebook arc of this book. In return for my honest thoughts and review. I really enjoyed this book. I think I found my first favorite book couple of 2021. I highly recommend this book and Lion (0.5) Tin (book 1) Each book has different main couple characters but continues the story or I should say the stories are connected. These books are retellings of The Wizard of Oz. And I am definitely here for this type of retelling. I love how the authors did this story. And continue to surprise ...more

And to get to know Reva was an added bonus. I loved every second of this book and following their story and cant wait to get ahold of the next book in line. CROW makes me think of farms and grotesque dolls resembling humans used to scare corn-eating birds. But nope, no farms. Only a once-shy scarecrow that's now not scared at all! In this epic novel, Crow follows the love of his life, Reva, in an attempt to find and destroy Locasta once and for all. But, by doing so this evil witch may curse them again. Okay, Crow and Reva were cursed before for many-many years, and now they're seeking revenge. To do so, they scrambled through incredible-hard obstac ...more

This series is sooooooo interesting!!!! I love all the creatures and magic. The characters are great, I especially love Reva's fierce determination and how loving Crow is. The sex scenes are hot af! Not enough Tin in this book because I became obsessed with him in the last one, lol. I am super excited the series isnt finished and cant wait to see what happens in Ozma. The writing between the two authors is seemless and the entire book is fun and easy to read. Great series, highly recommend ...more

I didn't think I could like Crow more than Tin. But, just like the first book, I was hooked from the beginning. The worldbuilding is amazing. I loved watching Crow and Reva's relationship unfold. Be still my heart. Such a great second chance romance between Crow and Reva!! Two wonderful, complex characters that have been through so much, finding their way back to each other. I loved this!!

There’s so much adventure and action as the couple heads North to get their revenge and save the people tormented by Locasta!! Unusual characters and some scary places ... yikes, the corn fields!!!

Crow and Reva have my heart!

I started off by reading Tin previously. It was an enjoyable spin on a beloved tale with more steam. I loved Crow and was thrilled to learn he would have his own book.

On an unrelated note, this past week I have been obsessively listening to the Wicked Broadway soundtrack, so clearly I was in the mood to return to Oz. And also desperate to see the Wicked Witch of the West get her happily ever after.

This book delivers. I love Crow even more than I did before. And Rev

I really enjoyed Tin, but Crow stole my heart. The world of OZ with fae--what more could you want? But it's so much more than a dark and twisty romance (and there is plenty of that). At its heart, Crow is a story of second chances and doing everything you can for the person you love. Told from dual perspectives, Duell & Robinson nailed every scene. ...more

I was happy to receive an ARC for Crow. It is the second full-length story in the series. In this tale, Reva, the Wicked Witch of the West is back and out for blood after being scorned by Crow. The Northern Witch has her own plans. This book is nicely executed covering love-hate and revenge as the reader is swept up in the adventure of it all.
What an adventure. I am loving this take on an adult version of the Wizard of Oz.
Faeries of Oz is about what happened to Oz after Dorothy left.
Book 2 of the series Crow, fills in the background of Crow and Reva, while also continuing the adventure of trying to fix all the damage that was done to the land and it's inhabitants.
I can't wait for Ozma, Book 3 in the series to come out. Happy reading. Annemarie

This sequel picks up where Tin left off but told from the perspective of Crow and Reva. I was super excited about this because I wanted to learn more about the history of Crow as well as Reva! Crow is a clever fae, who although comes from a tortured past, still manages to walk with a spring in his step. He's a gem! His ultimate goal in this novel is to help get Oz back to the way it was, and takedown Locasta once and for all... with Reva by his side, what could possibly go wrong...right?

This book is passionate! Between the anger and the sexual tension, it's guaranteed to keep you fired up. Add to that a dark adventure full of monsters and magic, and this book can do no wrong. It may be the second book in the series, but it's currently first in my heart.

I am eagerly awaiting book three!

I received this as an eARC to read for free in exchange for my honest review. Thank you to Candace Robinson and Amber R. Duell for giving me access.

This book had everything. It has action, revenge, love, hate, steamy bits, and so much clarity on what happened pre-Wizard of Oz days. Several questions thatI was left with from Tin were answered. Like how did they lose their daughter to the human world or why was Locasta so bent on ruining their lives.

The one issue I had with Tin, was time placemen

This time I knew more about what to expect in this world of Oz, and I had no real problems with leaving my childhood memories of Oz behind!

Crow and Reva are great characters to follow and you can't really miss the chemistry between them, although Reva wants nothing to do with Crow in the beginning. Sure, they're husband and wife, but the curse Locasta, the witch of the North, put them through for over twenty years has taken its toll. Crow has to make Reva trust him again - and maybe forgive him

Crow. *Heart Eyes*

I definitely wasn’t expecting to like Crow more than Tin. Yet, here we are.

This is Crow and Reva’s story and it’s seriously sweet. (And hot, let’s not forget that.)

I adore that they had a history and every time Crow called Reva his wife I went weak. For real.

This story adds to and expands and reimagines The story of Oz with Fae and romance and its great. I love it so much.

The Wicked Witch and the Scarecrow? Yes please! I’m here for it!

Hear me out... this DEFINITELY works

Dear friends, I am once again begging you to bear with me here: the “Dark Faerie Oz” vibe for these books may feel off-putting, but I promise you.. it works.

Crow, the next book in the Faeries of Oz series, follows the story of Crow (Scarecrow, for those of you orienting to the original tale) and Reva, aka the former Wicked Witch of the West.

I’m not always into “backstory” couples, which is technically what Crow and Reva are, as they are Dorothy’s parents, bu
