A must read!!!

M.R Noble has re-ignited my passion for all things Magic! Not only is the story fantastic and a breath of fresh air in its genre, I really can’t say (even as an avid reader) that I’ve ever truly felt so taken along on a characters journey! We are truly given the opportunity to experience Karolina’s exciting journey/discovery as if we were right there with her! There’s not ever a dull moment and can be incredibly hard to put down!

"This book grabs you by the throat and does not let go! A fast paced, enthralling journey through a hidden underworld of vampires, werewolves, and other beings of the night who wield a fascinating array of powers to devastating effect. Compared to the more stay-at-home-type of vampires and werewolves I know, these protagonists are pushed beyond the human limit. I Highly recommend you acquire this book and hole up somewhere safe for the ride." —Stuart Rutherford, actor from WHAT WE DO IN THE SHAD ...more

What can I say this was an interesting read. I like the world and the set up. The story was good but it did drag slightly in parts. I like the half vampire part and how she learns all about herself and her family. The pirates were cool. I like the sarcastic banter through out and how Karo's temper sometimes get her into trouble. I would enjoy reading more in the series when it comes. ...more

I don’t read a lot in the vampire section of the genre but when M.R. Noble offered a copy of Karolina Dalca, Dark Eyesfor review, I thought why not? This sounds fun, the cover was eye-catching (wink, wink) and I needed the change of pace this story promised.

Karo - a half-vampire - knows little of her supernatural family and heritage. When her mother is murdered and Kro becomes the prime suspect, she flees to her ancestral home in Eastern Europe with the help of one of her vampire brethren. Has she jumped from the frying pan and into the fire, or will she find sanctuary with her vampire family?

I found Karo's journey to clear her name and avenge her health, as well as how she is torn between her dreams of becoming an investigator and her vampire half

Dark Eyes throws the reader into a story of mystery and intrigue. Karolina is a half-vampire living in Canada with her mother training to be an investigator when her life completely falls apart. Accused of murder, she must go on the run and try to solve her family secrets and clear her name. I was captivated by Karo’s story immediately. Her relationship with her mother, Roman, and her grandparents were sweet and the mysteries surrounding her life pulled me in, desperate for more. I loved the jux ...more

Karolina Dalca, Dark Eyes is a fast-paced, action-packed fantasy story featuring the supernatural world in a uniquely imaginative and captivating manner.

What I Liked

I enjoyed the unique twist on vampire and werewolf lore. In this story, vampires are born to vampire parents, not mortals turned by a vampire.
Werewolves are also born to werewolf parents. Though, a mortal or other supernatural can willingly complete a bonding ritual with a pack leader that will turn them into a werewolf after their

I haven't read a vampire book in a while, but this book had an intriguing plot description that made me want to give it a chance. The main character is half vampire and has fire magic. She is forced to turn to the coven she had always been protected from in order to escape being charged with murder. I loved the writing and found the graphic violence to be perfect for the scenes.
I found the characters, plot, and twists to be interesting, and this book does a great job of setting things up for th

A fast paced and enthralling dark mystery/fantasy that had me from the first page and I urge anyone who loves something dark and gritty to add this to their wish list. The author Mr Noble has an amazing imagination and knows just how to build up the tension and keep you on the edge of your seat waiting to find out what happens next!
I totally enjoyed the plot, although I must warn you that it does contains quite a bit of violence and some pretty graphic scenes. A must read in my opinion.

Karolina Dalca, Dark Eyes by M.R. Noble is an exhilarating read that explores the nuances of vampires as Karolina, or Karo for short, gets pulled into a world she was protected from. Karolina is a half-vampire and ultimately gets blamed for murder. Her world has been turned upside down, she gives up on her dream of being an investigator and leaves her internship. She runs, encountering the world from which she was sheltered for so long. She also meets up with a full vampire who she is not sure s ...more

Karolina Dalca, Dark Eyes (The Dark Eyes) by M.R. Noble

I received a copy of the book and I am voluntarily leaving a review.

Karolina Dalca lives in Northern Ontario, Canada with her mother and the intention of becoming a police officer. All she needs is to complete an internship to pay for university residence. Seems enough for any 19 year old, but Karolina has other issues to contend with, being half-vampire, existing on “ bunnies “, wielding fire magic, to name a few.
Her attractive best friend

Karolina Dalca, Dark Eyes is an outstanding 5-star debut novel that combines mythological creatures like vampires, werewolves and dryads and adds a thriller vibe in a fantasy setting.

The first thing that got my attention was the dedication:

Karolina Dalca, Dark Eyes by M.R. Noble, is an interesting novel of a young woman who grew up knowing her father was a vampire and her mother’s family practiced the magic of gypsies. But when the day came, when her parents’ past caught up with her mother, it devastated Karolina by the fall-out. The only thing left was to find her father’s family, whom she never met in the old country. Lucky for her, a vampire, Andre, was more than willing to be her guide back to meet her uncle. 1st thank you to the author and TheWriteReads for the ARC copy.

Haven't read a vampire novel in a long time i was very pleased with this book, it had a really fast pace to the point that i didn't realize that i had read half of it in about 2 hrs.
however even with the fast pace i wished it was longer so that i can explore more, the story felt rushed due to it being short, and i kept craving more, hopefully the sequel will be a bit longer with more exploration of Karo's personality and development

Initially, when I started reading the story, I did not know how to feel. There are many things to get the hang of, like “Dyads” and “Forged” and the various “Charms.” Moreover, the author dwells right into the action before we even know to get to know the characters correctly.

However, once I got past the first two chapters, I could not put this book down. It has been a while since I read a gripping supernatural tale of werewo

I have a huge weakness when it comes to vampire books. I consider them my guilty pleasure. This book truly satisfied me. It had vampires and other supernatural beings. I wasn't expecting the book to be this fast-paced honestly, but I loved every single second of it. I loved the male characters, Roman and Andre, and how different their relationship with the main character was. I am not sure who I would root for when it comes to romance as I feel I need to know more about them.

Karo is half vampire and half gypsy but has been sheltered by her mother from her father’s (who she has not met) vampire history. Karo becomes a suspect when her mother is murdered and she finds herself on the run, this is where the adventure and danger begins! A brilliantly written, fast-paced, action-packed fantasy novel. There is a great variation on vampire / werewolf plots that I found refreshing and captivating. Highly recommended by me.

M. R. Noble has played a tug of war between science and art her whole life, but the rope broke when she wrote the first line of The Dark Eyes Series. Immersed up to her keyboard in paranormal romance and urban fantasy, she enjoys blending the real with the surreal. The only drawback is she misplaces her mug while dreaming up her next scene, and soon finds herself six cups overpoured.
