Hi, there I’m USA Today Bestselling Romance Author Aarti V Raman. I write all shades and forms of romance or will in the future because I suffer from writing attention deficit disorder. I must tell all the stories! So, my romances range from romantic comedy, chick lit to romantic suspense and dark romance starring tortured billionaires and suffering military types! Before I turned to writing and telling these stories full-time, I was a teacher, business journalist and editor for close to fifteen years. So my heroines are career-minded, city-living, strong-willed hot messes who still have their lives together. I believe in writing what I know and I know me best so most of these heroines are Indian (South Asian women of color). I also believe in writing more of what I want so my heroes are indecently hot, filthy rich, fiendishly smart with secret hearts of gold. Thus, the angst and steam-meter are off the charts when stubborn force meets immovable object on the way to happy ever after. So does the banter and danger, because what’s love without a little bit of jeopardy, am I right? I’m a TEDx speaker and 24 of my romances have hit the Amazon Bestseller Charts so I can also proudly call myself an Amazon 100 International Bestselling Author. My chick lit dramedy “The Worst Daughter Ever” has been optioned for screen. My bestselling Millionaire Foes series is part of the Writers on the Moon Project, on a time capsule to go to the actual moon. Most notably, I’ve been absolutely privileged to be part of two fantastic for-charity anthologies, Stand for Ukraine and Dissent. I’m also known as Writer Gal. I live in Mumbai with my large and largely loveable extended family in a version of my three favorite words – Happy Ever After.
Though this book is the second in the Millionaire Quartet, it can be read as a standalone. The language is simple and the story is fast paced with twists and turns, there were so many moments where I felt, ‘Now, this is it’, but….. This story has family, friendship, struggle, love, misunderstanding, tragedy, betrayal and the suspense that kept me guessing. The author has touched the subject of consent in a very subtle way. The characters are well developed, realistic and their backstories have been expressed beautifully. I loved little Kahini as much as I loved Anshu. We see a glimpse of the characters from the first book and also from the books to come. There is even a mention of characters from her previous stories, which made me recapitulate that series as well. The descriptions of the beautiful locations have been done in such a way that I could picturise myself sitting on the balcony on Neelayam or in the resort at Nicobar. I loved the story and I am really looking forward to the next book in the series. And also meeting Anshu and Kahini again. A must, must read with a warning- You need a box of tissues, and time till you finish the book.
Aarti V Raman’s stories are par excellence. When I first started reading her books, it seemed like I was reading the work of an international author. I am always surprised by the varied roles that her characters portray and the kind of research that is put in, to describe everything about the characters - the way of life, their work or which part of the world they are from. It makes the stories compelling. Ansh and Kahini’s is one of a kind in the series and you’d want to finish it in one go. The message conveyed through the story and emphasized by the author in the end was quite impressive – the subject of consent in any situation. Must read!
In debt to her millionaire foe is the second book in the millionaire foe quartet series authored by Aarti V Raman and is available on Kindle Unlimited.
The protagonists Devansh Thackeray aka Ansh and Kahini Palekar ‘the songbird’ are childhood sweethearts living in the chawls of Mumbai who are separated by fate. Kahini holds Ansh responsible for her brother’s death and is now working in a bar in Goa. Ansh with his grit and determination grows into a successful owner of hotel chains across the world. With insurmountable wealth, his heart is still stuck on Kah. By paying off her debt, he brings her to work with him, to give her what she deserves. What happens to them while each one is dealing with their demons is for you to find out.
The story is set in the backdrop of Neelayam built on the Andaman Islands. The description of the islands, the hotels and the scenery around is a traveler’s paradise! Moreover, Ansh’s house built on the Nicobar Islands by using sustainable methods is an environmentalist’s dream come true.
What I liked the most in the story is that the protagonist is aware about the wrong doings towards women and is empowering them to build a better future. The story is full of emotions and there will be times where your heart will be heavy reading the situations both of them have gone through. Consent in the relationship has been portrayed effectively in the storyline.
All and all, the story is very well written with some innocence and some grey streak in the characters

Kahini and Devansh’s love story started in poverty but their emotions were pure. Then a tragedy and misundertandings pushed them apart. Now years later, Kahini is still grappling with grief, anger, and struggling to keep herself one step ahead of the loan sharks. Stuck in a rut, she is saved by the sudden arrival of Devansh, who is now a millionaire hotelier. Hatred soon melts away to let love shine again but the past soon catches up to them. Will they get their happily-ever-after?
I thoroughly enjoyed reading this romance that had me revisiting the beautiful Andaman and Nicobar Islands, and viewing them in a new light. The heartfelt emotions, the intense romantic attraction, the suspense, the easy flow of the story, and the realistic characters, are all so beautifully stitched up to give a story that engages and keeps a reader on the edge of the seat in this book.
I love Aarti’s writing and her new book doesn’t disappoint. Full of angst, longing, hardships, strength, family, love, and betrayal, it has all the “feels” and add the strong heroine and swoony hero to the mix, and you have a winner here. I finished it in one sitting because once I started I just couldn’t let it down!
All in all, In Debt to Her Millionaire Foe by Aarti V Raman is an entertaining and touching romance that will be enjoyed by all romance lovers. 5 out of 5 stars to it from me and Njkinny recommends this book heartily. Go read it now and checkout the other books by this immensely talented author.

Set against the picturesque Goa to Andamans and Mumbai this is a love story that faces all the hurdles. Whether it comes out as happily ever after is something I leave for you to find out reading the book. Kahini has always looked upto Devansh who is her brothers best friend. She has a magical voice and aspires to be a singer someday. But situations and the death of her brother makes her hate him. She holds him responsible for his untimely death and breaks all relations with him.
Over the years Devansh has worked hard and made a name for himself and become a millionaire . Not the ones to forget his roots he keeps looking for Kahini and is shocked when he finds her in a bar singing. The face to face meet and the dire conditions he sees her in makes him want to raise a helping hand. Kahini reluctantly accepts a job offer and his help in paying off her debts.
Their relationship improves with time and spending time with each other. Hopeful of a future with him she dreams of her happily ever after that she stumbles on a few secrets he is holding. Unable to believe what she sees and hears she fled away leaving Devansh shattered.
What happens when they meet again? Will Kahini believe him and take a leap of faith?
The narration is smooth and easy. The story moves at a good pace and the characters are defined well. The author has a way to make her characters come alive. Very real.
5/5 for this emotional roller coaster ride of love, lust, romance and betrayal.
An absolutely amazing book. I have read it again and again. The writing is simply fabulous, Aarti invites her readers into a fictional world which is so intricately crafted and elevated through her evocative writing style. You will find yourself ecstatic over the picturesque Andaman Islands, holding your heart over Kahini’s resistance, Ansh’s determination and ultimately crying with their happy ending. Aarti is a masterful storyteller and this book is a must read!
Aarti V Raman does it again. The story of Ansh and Kahini is one of trepidation, love, angst and so much more. Aarti manages to keep the readers on tenterhooks through and through, following the brilliant In Love With Her Millionaire Foe. This promises to be a blockbuster of a quartet!
Loved this story. But wish it had told of them getting together intimately & of their wedding. But other than that I really enjoyed it. Can't wait for book #3. Great writing & the details of the places makes you believe you are there seeing it with your eyes. Great job Aarti.
The 2nd book in the Millionaire quartet series has all the ingredients that make it into yet another hot-seller by Aarti V. Raman.

It sounds like a meant to be love story for Ansh and Kahini. They went through so much, giving and taking, ups and downs. Finally their hearts fell hard for each other. A great live story.
