This is a wonderful book. I was so happily surprised and pleased to lose myself in the story and become immersed in the characters and details of the plot that I just did not want it to end. AND THEN SHE VANISHED seemed to be one of the many mystery thrillers written to tax minds with clues about serial killers but, no, this isn’t that kind of book at all. Author Nick Jones has written a wonder of a tale that delights on so many levels. Devoted siblings, lives torn asunder, friendships left undo

OMG what an amazing read! The author drew me in from the very start with this fantastic and addictive storyline. It’s emotional but exciting and a total rollercoaster ride as we follow Joe on his quest to save his missing sister. I absolutely did not see the time travel element coming and to tell you the truth I was in two minds as to whether or not it was actually happening or if it was all in his head and the twist near the end, hell I did not see that coming!! Loved all the characters from Jo

I bought this because I saw that the follow up was on Netgalley and I looooove a good time travel story. To my surprise, I was so addicted to this book I was up until 3 AM finishing it. If you love the genre as I do, I urge you to give this series a chance.

I'm a sucker for a well done time-travel story and this fits the bill. There are always a lot of potential traps with time travel but this manages to avoid them. I don't want to spoil the ending but it's a good one that had a little twist I didn't see coming. There was enough there about the mechanisms of his time travel without getting bogged down in hard core, ultra technical sci-fi science.

I really wanted to love this book because the synopsis sounded so intriguing and I'm always here for time-travel stories! Alas, I think the writing severely dampened my enjoyment. I'm not opposed to simple writing style but here it was too simplistic and clunky. It read like the first draft of a novice writer and because of that I didn't much care about the characters and even had to skim the flashback chapters because they seemed so unnecessary. I guess they were there to make me more in love w

A man obsessed with the mystery of his sister’s disappearance 20 years ago.
An accidental discovery that time travel is possible.
A chance to save his sister.
I really loved the premise for this book, and the story lived up to my expectations! The time-travel was fun, exciting, and unexpected. I enjoyed the main character’s drive and determination about finding his sister, and I loved how the story wrapped up!

LOVED IT!!
After browsing for a time travel story, I found "And then she vanished" and I was intrigued right away. And it didn't disappoint...it got me hooked! It is a real page turner and every chapter makes you want to find out more about Joe`s journey, more time travel, more reading fun. What else is there to say without giving out any spoilers? If you are interested in time travel, and/or simply an entertaining read with a twist, then "And then she vanished" is the book for you.

And then she vanished, and vanished she did. But how, and what happened to her. When I first started reading this book, it felt like I'd settled into a very comfortable chair. I've come to the realisation that I know what I want from a book and it's the first page that starts my journey as to whether I'll get to the other end. No problem here. I was hooked from the beginning and one of the things that hooked me was how easy it was to read. No delving deep into the depth of time continuum, or the

I generally have very little interest in doing adventurous things.
Even as a child, I was never attracted to high-risk occupations or pastimes. I never wanted to be an astronaut. I never wanted to fight fires. I never wanted to tape cardboard wings onto my arms and jump off the roof in an ill-fated bid to fly.

Thank you to Nick Jones and Blackstone Publishing for the ability to read this novel in exchange for my honest review.
Excellent read!
I enjoy time travel and science fiction books a great deal. This book in particular is one of the best I’ve read. Makes time travel understandable in an engaging way. The characters are very well written and relatable. First of all, I’d like to thank the author for this advanced reader's copy.
The most important element of a time travel story, I think, is the mechanism used to go back in time and a lot of books take up so much of the book setting this up or explaining in great detail how it’s done but with this story it just happens and both the reader and the character discover the how and why of it together, along the way, as they journey towards the goal of changing the past for the better. A hugely entertaining read.
‘And Then She Vanished’ is a tremendously entertaining book, and the first in a potentially outstanding time travel series - I see book two is due mid year. Nick Jones writes with a typical quintessential hallmark British style, balancing drama with wit. Thank you to The author Nick Jones and Blackstone Publishing for my copy of 'And Then She Vanished'. The book is fantastic, a real page turner. The detail and description paints a distinctive picture of each setting and character, and the chapters are not too long which I love. Throughout the chapters it plots in memories and earlier parts of Joseph's life to really fill in the gaps and build the story. The main character has a lot of pain and turmoil but finds a fantastic gift that he learns to

Thank you to Blackstone Publishing for my copy of And Then She Vanished. Like with all of Nick Jones' books, the good and the bad thing about them is once I touch them I can't put them down again before finishing to read. An excellent book on a man who discovers he can timetravel. His life changed when his young sister disappeared one day. The story involves characters he gets involved with in the process of trying to go back to the time she disappeared. It is a book you don't want to put down and then when you have finally finished it you are sad because you recall enjoyed reading it. I'm really looking forward to the next in the series, hoping it indeed is a series.

When I picked this book up, I had assumed it was going to be a straight mystery story about a female vanishing as lately had been going through a mystery/crime buzz with my reading. The book starts with Joseph watching his 7-year-old sister Amy at the local fair back in 1997. After winning a prize for her and turning his back for a few minutes, Amy vanishes and disappears. People search and scour but there is no sign of her and after a few years, the case becomes cold and Amy is another statisti

I’m not even sure how to start reviewing this book, because I’m not even sure how to categorise it. It starts off as though it’s going to be some sort of crime/mystery thriller, as we meet our protagonist Joe, whose little sister Amy disappeared from a funfair over 20 years ago, never to be seen again. Joe’s insomniac and depressed, and it’s obvious his life is about to cave in around his ears… and then things take a bit of a turn for the odd as we learn he has the talent of psychometry, in that

'Back to the Future' is one of my favourite films, so with And Then She Vanished by Nick Jones - a novel about time travel - I was on familiar territory.
Back to the Future is the very definition of a “feel-good” film. Except for one major factor that doesn’t even get mentioned - how Marty is going to cope with memories. He will remember everything that has never happened to everyone else. The film manages to avoid having to deal with it by zipping him off further into the future. The End. Close ...more

This book is about Joseph Bridgeman who discovers he can travel back in time and uses this ability to try to save his sister. I thoroughly enjoyed this book and found it hard to put down, and then would lay awake dissecting what I had read. you can feel the despair of the main character as he grieves for his sister. I would recommend this story as a great escape from the current world.

He only looked away for a second. But that’s all it took. She was gone.
Joseph Bridgeman has spent most of his life haunted by the sudden disappearance of his little sister Amy. One moment, she was standing beside him at a fair and the next, she had vanished into thin air.
Isolated, depressed and on the verge of ruin, Joseph turns to a hypnotherapist to help him finally ease his insomnia. Instead of sleep, he finds a gateway through time to his sister.
