Chloe
I dreamed of a prince. Never expecting to love the dark Knight with eyes of a lost soul. A threat of betrayal and deceit brought us together, but it is burning desire and a sense of security that keeps me hanging on. After helping me to come to grips with my own guilt, our hate turns into a love Gunner insists on denying. He warns, making promises to destroy me. Ruin me. And yet, I give him full permission to make good on his promises. Because I have a promise of my own. He is my choice. And I will risk it all to save him. He will find his salvation.
The Youngbloods is a spinoff series from the Stern Family Saga. This series should be read in order. Salvation is the second part of Gunner and Chloe's love story and it is the final book in this series.
Monique Orgeron is a Contemporary Romance w/ suspense author. Stern Family Saga
Written by Monique Orgeron’s eldest, most beautiful, and intelligent daughter. (My sister is going to hate this part.) My mom happens to be the most caring, loving, and stubborn person I know, well anyone knows. She gives 100% percent of herself to everyone and has given up so much of herself for my sister and I. For twenty-one years she has poured her heart and soul into making sure we know that we are loved and that we can do anything we put our minds too, but it was about time she figured that out about herself. Up until this year I hadn’t seen my mom do anything for only her, but this book has allowed her to travel the world through the pages of a book, make new friends, and feel the joy of doing something exciting. There is a new light behind her eyes and it is just making me feel more joy than she can ever imagine. While she might be annoying most of the time, I am so thrilled that she is finally allowing herself to grow as a person and not spend all of her energy on her family. It has been a long journey of self-discovery for my mom; she has gone from domestic supermom to domestic goddess throughout the process of writing. We are so very excited and proud of you! I love you as big as the world. -Bria and Tony
WOW! What a beautiful and wild roller-coaster of emotions 😍 The 6th book in the series and the conclusion of Chloe's and Gunner's story is what I waited impatient to finally read for a long time. I love this couple so much. They are so different, but are so damn perfect for each other.
Gunner with his tormented soul and terrible past. His purpose in life is to take revenge in order to calm down the demons from his past. His end goal is to die and find peace from his horrible memories.
Chloe grew up in a perfect world, but with lies and secrets, that are the reason she is plagued with guilt and shame the whole time. But she is not the princess that people think she is. She fights for her independence and the love. Because when you love someone you do everything possible to save him. Even if that means save him from himself.
I love Chloe strength and her determination to help Gunner and her fight for a future together. I love Gunner, though I wanted to slap him so bad more than once reading this book 🤭
What a beautiful action-packed, emotional and gripping mafia romance 😍 I have ones again cried, laughed and screamed during reading it. But that's the Monique-Orgeron-effect 🤷🏻♀️ She never ceases to amaze me ❤
The Youngblood series is a spinoff of the Stern Family Saga (that I recommend to read!). This is the final book in the Youngblood series and should be read in order.
I fell completely in love with Gunner. His story was so tragic. Monique captured his pain and wrote it it in a way that we felt everything. No one but Chloe would have been strong enough to save Gunner from drowning. This book had it all. Angst, drama, suspense, steam, love, heartache everything a girl needs in a book.
This is book two of a duo about Gunner and Chloe. The reader learns much of the backstories of Chloe and Gunner during Absolution. These books should definitely be read in order; even reading Shane’s story beforehand will help (Youngbloods parts 1-3), but definitely read Absolution before attempting Salvation.
Salvation finally answers many of the questions readers are left with after reading Absolution (book one of this duo). The reader discovers why Gunner is so driven to fight, why Chloe is having a hard time talking to Brittany, who the stalker really is, and what actually happens at the end. This story will tear your heart out and put it back in your chest just a little bit differently. It is abundantly clear that Gunner is driven to make amends for a horrendous series of events that happened in his past. It seems as if he only has one option available to him, but the Stern family offers him a different choice, but he feels like he is unable to take it. He finally figures out what is really important after talking to a priest and fighting a friend.
Chloe is feeling alone as this story opens. Some of her friends are giving her the cold shoulder and she feels abandoned. She is unable to confide in them because of her stalker and because of Stern family secrets, but this gives her and Gunner the chance to share some of their past with each other and get to know each other on a deeper level. Chloe begins to offer Gunner the chance to experience many ‘firsts’ that he missed growing up, and Gunner offers Chloe some safety and security. As trust grows, both hearts are getting involved, but Gunner knows what the future holds, while Chloe remains ignorant of it.
Ms. Orgeron often tackles tough issues in her books. This book is no different in that she tackles the issues of an adult learning how to cope with setting their pride aside to learn how to handle dyslexia and become a better reader. She always takes on issues with sensitivity and courage, and her protagonists reflect this thinking.
Keep your tissues handy when reading this book. There are some heartbreaking scenes, as well as some heartwarming ones. Gunner learns what love and family are really about, while Chloe learns about forgiveness, communication, and acceptance. The tension is higher in some places than in others, but the story is well-told and heartfelt. This is one worth reading again!
I felt like I was refreshing my kindle daily to get a hold of this book!!! Salvation (Youngbloods, #6) is the final book in this series and the conclusion to Gunners story. After leaving us hanging on, barely in book #5, this was the perfect conclusion! I am left totally feeling like all the boxes were ticked in this book. No unanswered questions lingering in my head.
This author has taken us, the readers through the wringer with this book. Gunner is a mysterious man with a past we are all dying to find out more about. Well, we definitely learn what it was and who was responsible for his gritty personality. It takes a strong man to over come his up bringing! Gunner shined like the fighter he was raised to be!
Chloe is perfect for Gunner! Although, she gets quite the wakeup call in this book. Gunner has always told her that he would leave her broken. But until the stalker is found, he will be beside her.
Enjoy the journey and have some tissues around as when Gunner is explaining his up bringing, a bit of water might or might not escape from your eye!!!
Great Job, Monique Orgeron on brining us the Youngbloods series!! Can't wait to read what you bring us next.
If you thought Absolution the beginning of a Gunner and Chloes story was good you haven’t seen anything yet. This is the conclusion of Chloe and Gunners story. How far would you go and what would you do to protect someone you love? Chloe fell in love with Gunner and is trying to get him to see they have a future. In her words she chose him and no matter she is going to stand by him and show him he’s worthy of having a good life and love. Gunner is hell bent on the revenge that has consumed his whole life. Through a series of events and with the help of his friends he see that the revenge he thought he needed he really doesn’t. He can have it all and his past doesn’t have to define him. You will be crying your eyes out for Gunner at the shear hopelessness that he fells and then laugh at the banter between him and Chloe. All of our friends make a appearance and you get some new admiration for them. This is by far her best book yet. Congratulations Monique you blew me away.
The end has come but I still want more. There is so much left that wasn’t written and I hope Monique contours with this cast that I have come to love.
With that said I will say that I wasn’t exactly enthralled with Gunner. I don’t for some reason he didn’t click with me. But Chloe well she is a dream. Stubborn, hard headed and opinionated. She stood her ground, open up her mind along with her heart.
She really was the glue holding this story together for me. Her ability to adapt to Gunner’s reactions quickly made her all the more appealing.
I did feel the novel had a bit to much fluff added into and at time I found myself skimming to find the core plot. The subplots just felt not really there for me.
I wasn’t shocked by the twist as I had it pinpointed since it was brought up, but it was still a brilliant way to unfold it.
The conclusion of Gunners story will grab you and not let go. Chloe is such a boss babe in this one. But Gunner has my emotions running everywhere. Gunner has become my second favorite man in all of the books. Do not miss these books.
I couldn't read this book fast enough. We were left with unanswered questions (from Absolution) and we got them, finally with the release of Salvation. Not a light read, you will have to start with book 1 and you will need lots of tissues. This book was suspenseful, steamy and oh so emotional but I would expect or want it any other way. Mrs. Orgeron has a way with making you fall for the bad guy, hate him and then creating him into the one that captures your heart. Gunner and Chloe's story is everything you want and more. Grab both Absolution & Salvation and settle in for the weekend, plan to do nothing but read because this book is EVERYTHING!
Holy....I mean.....Seriously!! DAMN WHAT READ!!! Chloe is one BAD A$$ WOMAN!! And GUNNER!!! Whew!!! My heart is still racing!!! Passion, Love, Uncertainty, Disappointment, Mental Anguish, Surprise, and Family!!! This book has it all, y'all!! I truly wish I could give it more than five stars!!! LOVE THIS READ!!!
This book is fabulous ! The writer has depth in her characters and plots that extend past anything you expect in her stories ! The story draws you in and bring true emotions to the reader . It’s a story that totally takes the story to a higher level and a must read ! I love the late night talks the characters share and fierce protection they feel for each other .
Once I started reading this I could not put it down. What an emotional roller coaster the conclusion of Gunner and Chloe's story is! That ending??? Holy h*ll I did not see "him" coming at all! To watch Chloe bring out a side of Gunner that no one has seen was so beautiful and yet heartbreaking to watch. What Shane does for Gunner is just touching. I loved their story so much!!! Monique never disappoints!
Monique Orgeron did a great job on this book, Salvation had a strong plot that was packed with many emotions, the story was written well. Gunner and Chloe were strong characters, their journey was an emotional rollercoaster, they may have had many ups and downs but they were made for each other. The connection and chemistry between them was strong, they were drawn to each other, they were good together. I enjoyed this story, it was a great. Looking forward to reading more. Thank you, Monique Orgeron. Great work :)
Salvation is the conclusion to Gunner and Chloe’s story and it doesn’t disappoint. From the start to finish you are hooked. The emotions that this story makes you go through are so raw. You’ll laugh, cry and want to scream at the characters.
The way Monique bring her vision to life with her words is a true talent. Not many authors can keep me hooked on a series but she does and I want more. Hell I’ve been hooked since book one in the Stern Family Saga. I cant wait to see what we are given next from this phenomenal author.
Gunner, bless that man and his tormented soul! Book 2 of Gunner’s story is full of surprises, Orgeron style. Gunner is on a mission to find and stop Chloe’s stalker while trying to keep his hands off of the princess and his eye on the prize promised to him by the Sterns. Shit hits the fan, y’all! It comes in from every angle possible. Heartbreak.... soul shattering heartbreak! Grab the Kleenex, wine and chocolate. Turn off the phone and lock the doors. You won’t be able to put this one down!
“Stop dwelling on what you cannot change. And start thinking of what you have today.” -Jolie T.
Okay I hope you know by now I am obsessed with your books. Somehow I knew who the stalker was but the story of gunners past gutted me! I don’t think my husband has laughed so hard before at how bad I was crying! And chloe my god, is she a strong willed woman. But love does make you stronger when you are a mother or when you know deep in your heart that this person is the one!!! Wow monique. You are an amazing write and I can't wait to see what your next book is about.
Wow what amazing read that will have you hooked tell the very ending. I just love this series and how the words just roll right off the pages.. this is a very intense dark read that has you hooked.
This series needs more than 5 stars its1 million. This is the continuation of the series. He thinks he is not worth someone living him. Catherine is into her meddling in someone lives. She had her reasons. He does evrrything in his power to make her hate him. This book will have you awing crying and wanting to beat someone up. All at once.
Oh my goodness!!! This book is everything. I wish I could give it more than 5 stars!! It ripped my heart out and put it back together. Love Gunner and Chloe and the family who loves them!! I absolutely enjoyed this duet. Can’t wait to see who is next!!!
Why DID you do this to me! This book had me crying. Not a little a whole lot. THE TWISTS in this book are EPIC. If you love to be surprised by a book this is the one for you. I love Chloe and Gunner they are fated, perfect for one another TRUE LOVE.
The second book in the duet about Gunner and Chloe was more focused on trying to get Gunner to get out of his own way. A lot of people tried and he just wouldn't do it. The frustrating thing is that I think the ROMANCE between Gunner and Chloe was fabulous and probably the strongest one of the series. The connection they made, the firsts, the truths, it all worked for me. But all the rest of this book was incoherent.
There were a lot, I mean, way to many WTH? plot devices/holes/ridiculousness that tripped me up. Starting with the head scratcher. Why did Gunner feel like he could only get revenge by fighting this guy? He tortured the other one. Why did he have to fight this one? Why didn't anyone ask him that? Why didn't anyone just shoot the guy and be done with it? When the biggest plot driver is a dud, it's hard to come back from that.
I was not a fan of the stalker resolution, nor the downplay of the injuries Chloe received. I also felt like the learning disability aspect was intriguing but then it was dropped and ignored as though he was cured which was disappointing and a disservice to the hard work it takes to battle with that even if you have "tools" to help.
I'm glad that Chloe and her sister got their shit together and that Gunner called Chloe out and Brittany stood up for herself because Chloe came off as a judgmental b*tch and that perception of her needed to change to really get a feeling for her.
Finally, if the cliche "surprise" didn't happen and if Gunner had sorted his ass out before the last few pages, maybe it all could have been redeemed a bit and more stars given. Also, if I could suspend disbelief that Brittany would have given Chloe the location and information about the warehouse/cages and that she could have walked into said warehouse (that was conveniently placed right next to a dance club - WUT?) to be an UNSEEN witness to Gunners epiphany and then be a witness to "his" vile confession once Gunner leaves. This was the final absurdity.
I CAN NOT REPEAT THIS MORE....." Monique Killed it again!!! She absolutely knows how to RIP your soul out and drag you across the ground. Pick you up hug you. Hit you back again, make you cry to the point you feel like there is no return, and then she hugs you all over again, that is how it feels when you read one of her books. And each book gets better and better with Every character!!!" <<<---- I Say that with Almost Every book
Gunner and Chloe are Over the Top Epic, She hit so many feels with Salvation, this book follows from Absolution, it shows you where Everything leads to both of their inner demons and feelings. It makes you literally want to reach in and hold them both. Even though Gunner is a tough man his Demons and past haunt him and because of that it pushes him farther away from those who want to help him and those who love him. Chloe finally has someone she Loves without her sisters hassles and she cant face it. And with her past and her current threats hanging over her head they are Both in for one Heck of a ride, in Hope's to find Salvation. It leads up to what Monique says best in her book, what would you do to save who you love? I promise you this book will tear absolutely apart but in the best way!!

I knew from reading Absolution that Gunner was a man of many secrets and he had a lot of walls up to protect himself.
We slowly peeled away some layers and seen beyond his aloof exterior but not enough to get to know the real Gunner. I knew then that he was going to break me when he finally opened himself up.
Now I've read Salvation the title of Gunners story couldn't be more apt as Chloe was Gunners Salvation in every way. I don't think anyone else could of crashed through his walls the way she did. I love her even more for that.
Gunner broke me, his story was horrifying, heart wrenching and unimaginable. His nightmares were real and there was no escaping them. I understood his need to protect himself and his need for revenge above everything else.
Gunner and Chole do not have an easy time, they almost destroy each other to find their happiness. But if any couple deserved to be together it's these two they are perfect for each other.
If you've not read this series you're missing out on pure Gold. The whole series is absolutely PHENOMENAL and I don't say that lightly. I'm sad that it's over but excited to see what's in store from Monique Orgeron next..... I'm a fan for life. x
What a wonderful conclusion! Can I just say, (and no offense to any authors out there I can only imagine how hard this was to plan and put together) BRAVO to Ms. Orgeron for giving us this book and the previous book so close together that I could still remember it all! I read ALOT (as a disabled and fairly isolated person its my only hobby and welcome escape) and I appreciate the way she spaced these! Now onto Gunner and Chloe... Poor tortured Gunner, I think he feels sure he isn't worthy of Chloe's love, it just makes it doubly hard on Chloe because not only does she have to prove she loves him, she has to help him see he deserves it. I love these two together and though their stubbornness had me mumbling to myself more than once during their push and pull, Gunner needed a hard headed woman to love him. I loved how sweet she was, he needed that too poor guy didnt have alot of it in his life for sure, but that inner fire and drive she had was admirable and that fierce protectiveness in him seemed to recognize she was to be treasured. I loved the suspense too! There's something in Gunner and Chloe's story for everyone and I absolutely loved it!
A great second part to Gunners story, I enjoyed this more than the first book; mainly because I felt this part had more direction, there was a purpose and end game that we became aware of and I was more than eagre to see it through to the end.
The plot was more tense and fast paced. it was raw, depraved and really dark as we sink into the underbelly of the crime world with the bare knuckle fighting and Gunners need for salvation and retribution after escaping from a harrowing event in his life. I feel Monique really went to a whole new level of darkness with this one. There was 2 stories woven into this book, both equally had me on tenderhooks. I think I had a strong inkling for most of the book who Chloe's stalker was but not totally convinced I had it nailed.
Together Gunner and Chloe made a strong couple, both determind, bloody minded and unyiedling . It was great to see their relationship develop over both books and made them a formidable couple. They have truly earned theor place amongst the Stern family.
So this is the conclusion of Gunner and Chloe's story and man is it a good one!! We finally find out Gunner's tragic story and boy did it bring the tears. I mean I love the Gunner in the last book but this one just made me love him more! I swear I just want to give him a hug and tell him it will all be alright. So he's on the warpath to right his past. He thinks this is the only way to make things right. He's willing to give up his one and only love for it. It was such a remarkable ride to see the growth of both Chloe and Gunner. It was an action packed thrill ride especially with Chloe, we finally got to see who her stalker was and to be honest I didn't really like them so I was happy with how it played out for them.I have fallen hard for all the characters in this series and the Sterns. I liked how the author gives us glimpses of them but not overpowering the couple in the story. It is always nice to see the Sterns and how they look out for their families. I can't wait for the next story from this author!!
I've gone back and forth on what to write for this book. I've gone through so many emotions, I cried a little for the injustice done to Gunner, what he went through and what he had to live with. He was in pain for years with one goal in mind, to leave this world knowing he had taken his revenge. But as always, life doesn't go the he planned, he had that little fire cracker Chloe on him😂😂, no matter how many times he pushed, she's there loving him. She's strong, she's driven, but most of all she's crazy about Gunner, their story is not about Salvation no, it's about Redemption, Retribution, Restitution, Resolution, Absolution and finally Salvation, all of these roll into one. This series had me on a whirlwind of feelings and I couldn't put them down. If you want something to bite down on than you're in the right place, the Youngbloods are not to play with, come on I know you want to know more, why don't you give it a read, come on I dare ya😉
Salvation is the perfect second half to follow Absolution bringing everything to a fabulous conclusion after a roller coaster, helter skelter of a plot. Chloe is pitched just right a feisty firecracker who can be selfless but who can also hold a grudge. Gunner is a man who suffered childhood abuse bears the scars inside and out. He just had a death wish because he had no reason to live, slowly he learns to love, he tries to resist because of his grand plan but during all of this he finally learns to appreciate the beauty of family. Finally he understands what it is for someone to have your back. Chloe didn't give up she saw that Gunner was worth it if only he could see he was worth it. Love the twist, truly psychotic. A cornucopia of emotions humour, tears, pearl clutching and the ahh moments that make this story complete.
This is the story is about Chloe and Gunner they figure out who is slacking Chloe it is her best friend Hannah who is jealous and is in love with Chloe but Chloe is in love gunner had break up with Chloe by pretending he slept with another women then send her packing she goes back to live with her sister then finds out she is pregnant she tells gunner before his his big fight tells her about the women and he loves her she demands her sister tell her where vin she goes get there before the fight then he finally gets what Christopher wanted for him before he died and he leave the chloe face the man gets a gun and he tells her he is gunner father she kills him gunner comes in and she says do you love me he said yes then don’t ask
This book pulled me up by the hair, threw me across the room them jumped on me!!. Gunners story is by far the best book in the series. The rawness of his past, his pain and anger is so well portrayed and it was to take a strong woman to stand by him. That woman was Chloe....she knew what she was taking on and was determined to be there for Gunner whatever the cost. The love, lust, hate, anger and betrayal in both Gunner and Chloes lives was enough to tear any one apart but although Gunner fought with his hands, Chloe fought with her heart. The ending was certainly epic when ‘he’ in the cage finally became known. This was an amazing story!!!
