This book can be used for phonemic awareness and signt-word recognition for grades Pre-K through grades 1. There are about 100 words in the book to include in the young readers' word bank. In addition onset and rimes are in this book. To help English Language Learners, the book is filled with colorful pictures and highlighted words at the top of pages.

My first grader had a good time with this book. A few words stumped her but with repetition throughout the book she caught on. Knowing she read up to 100 words on her own gave her a sense of accomplishment! I am proud of my reader trying to overcome her obstacles!

It was about a pig that said he was big. Then, there were fuly meths with a pig. Finally he said he was going back home.

My 6-year-old told me to give this book 5 stars, because she thought it was funny. It is a great Level 2 book for advanced Kindergarten readers.
