All-new, easy-to-read riddles by Jean Marzollo are paired with fun, gently spooky photographs culled from previously published I Spy books to create the ninth I Spy reader. With rhythm, rhyme, and picture clues, this book is written to support the newest reader.

This was a cute little book for kids. Looking for the pictures was fun and challenging. I liked that the items were different sizes, it made it more challenging to find the items.
I have always liked the I Spy series. When I was growing up, fights either verbal or physical would erupt in the library over these entertainment gems. When the newest book in this series hit the shelf it was only for a moment for long time. They are still like that in some school libraries. I loved the pictures of real, bright colored, items and always liked racing my friends to see who could find them all the fastest. They didn't have the middle reader type when I was old enough to want to read them. They have more words and fewer pictures then the original kind but they are still fun. I found every item on every list and it brought back fond memories. I also liked the bit with longer sentences towards the back of the book asking questions about items listed below like Which two items below have LL at the end? Which two items have the same word in both of them? Etc...I actually liked this book a lot. I had fun doing am I Spy again after such a long time. Some day I will show them to my own children because they are great books and I know they will love them as much as I. Ages 8-12
I was always a big fan of this series when I was young, and I remember the pages were always beat up or ripped by how other students were passionate about these books. This is a fun way to tie in deciphering words, as the text is very straightforward, and it can tie into Halloween! Students can enjoy this book because it may not be as tedious as reading a chapter book, and students can see that there is fun to be had in the pages of a book. I would recommend this book to children who may not like to read, as well as students who may be bored by reading.
This is an ideal riddle picture book for a Read Aloud. This book is meant to target early readers and supports building vocabulary while being an interactive book. This book can be useful for older students who are learning the English language. As well, children who are disable or may have a TBI will also learn language from this colorful picture book.

A great book to use with Kindergarteners during the fall. This book has great pictures and great riddles that little ones will love. The back pages ask questions that reinforce reading. This would be another great center book.
All the I Spy books are a must in our household. My son has been in love with these since he was a year old and he's almost six now and still reads one every day.
Fritz loves these I-Spy books. Frankly, I like them too. The illustrations are simple, but I find them interesting how they hide the objects. Well done.
Part of the easy reader series of I Spy books featuring rhymes, increasingly difficult picture puzzles, and tons of literacy building extras. Great for beginning readers!
