Thank you in advance to the author, E.C Jackson, for providing a complimentary copy for review. A positive review was not required, all words and thoughts are my own.

Jackson’s fourth “Hope Series” novel (not counting Pajama Party) is her most recent release. It is definitely different from the previous three books with the tone as well as the story.

This was another one that immediately grabbed me, but then this disconnect developed and I couldn’t get the momentum back. I struggled to keep what

I have read other books by this author and was very pleased with her writing style. In this book she takes situations and uses her characters to show the ups and downs of a marriage. The first chapter was abrupt to me as we suddenly find the two main characters married and this begins their journey. I wasn’t sure I really liked either Pamela or Mark. They both seemed selfish and stubborn. To my surprise I realized why I didn’t like them. They were a mix of me at the beginning of my marriage. Oh ...more

3.5 stars - Miscommunication in a marriage can add up to big problems. When you add learning how to be unselfish in your relationship and putting your spouse first, there are a lot of lessons to learn when you first get married. The Confident Hope joins Pamela and Mark on their newlywed adventure as they learn valuable lessons to last them the years to come.

The author did a great job of showing the thoughts of each character to balance out what they were thinking as well as the development of th

I have read several books by this author now and I really enjoy them. They’re not full of suspense like my normal reads but they are full of Christian values and plenty of good fun romance.

This book is the fourth in a series but it is not imperative that you read the whole series in order to understand the whole book. Of course, as always I advocate for reading series in order because that always makes them so much better!

Here we meet Pam and Mark. They’re best friends but could they be more? P

I have read a few books by E.C Jackson and I always enjoy her books. She has a
very good writing style and always captures the reader from the first chapter.

currently has a girlfriend andPamela believes that his girlfriend is all wrong for him.
She truly believes she cannot hide the fact that she would love to take their friendship

The Confident Hope is book 4 in the Hope Series. I have not read the other books, and I was able to fully understand everything that was going on. This is also the first book that I have read by this author. I really enjoyed her writing style. She has a true gift and the words leapt off the pages. In this story we meet Pamela and Mark. They are best friends. Pamela is a successful business woman. She is struggling with the fact that she has feelings for Mark. As friends, they have great chemistr ...more

From the beginning of the second chapter of The Confident Hope, I realized that Pamela and Mark have a lot of growing up to do. Their return to reality exposes some ugliness of character in both of them from the passive aggressive way they deal with disagreements to the selfishness Mark exhibits. Even when they seek advice from others, they don’t follow through.

However, since those flaws were exposed so early in the book, I wanted to follow along as this couple grew. And they do. They realize th

What happens when you marry the love of your life, but you are not sure are the love of his life? This is exactly the situation that Pam finds herself in when she can finally call Mark her own. After Mark has a horrible breakup with his girlfriend, Pam is there for him, and after a whirlwind courtship, they marry rather quickly.

Right as they return home from the honeymoon trouble begins. Jealousy and bitterness begin to take root in both of their hearts. And there are some lessons especially for

What I think you should know:
The Confident Hope, an inspirational romance by E.C. Jackson is the fourth book in Series. It is a standalone book and the storyline is not connected to other books in the series.

What I think about this book:
I am so glad Pam loved Mark because I sure didn't, being raised as a single child is no excuse for not caring about your friends .Mark entered marriage without loving his wife the way that a husband should. However Pam was not without fault in the story, she we

The Confident Hope is the fourth installment from the Hope series by E.C. Jackson. Even though it is part of a series, I believe it can be read as a stand alone. I did have the pleasure of reading book three and thought it was a great read. This one does not disappoint and probably loved this one even more. I adored Mark and Pamela. They were quite the duo with obvious chemistry. I loved the faith and inspirational element of the story. It was a wonderful addition to it.

The Confident Hope by E.C. Jackson had a great book description that really captivated me. However, the majority of the events in the book description happened by the time we read through chapter one. The book felt rushed at times and seemed to drag at other times. There was too much internal thought for my personal taste and most of the time it felt redundant. I know a lot of readers who enjoy deep inner conflict so, if that’s you, please don’t let my review dissuade you from the book. Everyone ...more

The Confident Hope intrigued me. I have been a fan of E. C. Jackson since her very first book, but this 4th book in the Hope Series made me realize how much I admire E. C. Jackson's style and ingenuity. The Confident Hope has unexpected twists and turns of events that keep the reader engaged. Just when you thought you knew where the plot was headed, the direction turned in a way that was believable. Sorta like how real life, huh? That is what I love most about all the books in the Hope series. M ...more

Imagine being in love with someone who fails to see you. This exact thing happens to Pamela. She fell in love with Mark, but he believes he loves someone else. But when that other someone turns him down, he flees to the one person who listens always.

Add in a set of divorced parents for Pam along with Mark’s strained relationship with his parents, and the story gets interesting. Plus, there are some additional fun twists to this story.

I love how the author examines the importance of open and hone

The Confident Hope by E. C. Jackson is an interesting, good read. Applying biblical principles to your life is the main continuous theme. I liked the emphasis on living as God intended, especially in your marriage. The book includes this couple’s agreed on rules for marriage. Several Bible verses are incorporated in the story. I did like the story. I would recommend it for those who like Christian fiction and romance. The characters dialog appeared too formal to me. From the book “You cut commun ...more

This book is part of a series but can be read as a stand alone. I had not problem understanding the story or events in the least. Mark and Pamela have wonderful chemistry. The two of them built on a friendship but have some rocky times too.

I thought the author did a great job making it all realistic and the characters face 'real' life. It wasn't a smooth story but more of a twisting and changing real life. There were parts that I thought got a little bogged down and slow, but for the most part,

This book is part of a series but can be read as a stand alone. "The Confident Hope" by E.C. Jackson is book 4 of the "Hope" Series.

This is a story of what to do to keep up hope in your marriage and how to not give up. I really thought the ten points that Pamela and Mark had for their marriage is one that all married couples might want to consider for their marriage. I think this book is my favorite of the series.

This story is "real life" This is a story with the themes of strong family is every

I received an ARC for this Christian Romance.
Two friends who eventually marry are plunged into a 'situation' which the story
sensitively follows as they work things out in their relationship.
The story is intelligently written with intriguing twists and turns.
I enjoyed following the main characters growth as married life unfolds.
For anyone who enjoys Christian Romance, this book is highly recommended.

I was engrossed in Pam’s and Mark’s story from the first chapter. There were many unexpected twists and turns. Throughout it all, I experienced a genuine connection with the main characters and their supporting crew. Now I’m waiting for the fifth book of the series to come out, hopefully next year. Looking forward to the read.

E. C. Jackson began her writing career with the full-length play Pajama Party. Thirty-one years later, she adapted the play into Pajama Party: The Story, a companion book to the second book in the five-book standalone Hope series.

Jackson’s favorite pastime is reading fiction. She enjoys taking the journey along with the characters in the books. That also led to her unorthodox approach to story wr
