Enemies to Lovers. They fight like crazy and then passion takes over.
Deborah Bryant is back to take the final series of photos for her four seasons book of the Lake Chelan area. She’s dreading it. Each time she makes it to Chedwick, she and Terry Anderson fight like wet cats, and then have angry relations. It’s hard on her heart, because the damn man won’t stay out of her thoughts while she’s out of town.
Terry Anderson knows Deborah will be back in Chedwick any day. He can’t decide whether to high tail it out of town, or meet her at the landing and escort her directly to his bed. He’s never had a woman tear him up so bad. The last time she was in town he’d damn near lost his mind.
I started writing late in life. I've always been a reader, devouring Nancy Drew books in grade school right on through to today. But writing is new to me and I am having a blast.
I have four series, all small town contemporary romance.
My Lake Chelan series is centered around a remote town in eastern Washington and all the challenges and shenanigans that go on there. Many of the characters in that series are volunteer firefighters. My father was a volunteer firefighter and walking into a station still smells like home to me. So I am having a lot of fun incorporating my memories into new stories.
My Burlap and Barbed Wire series at this point is Colorado Cowboys all from one family of cattle ranchers living in the Rocky Mountains at the base of Rocky Mountain National Park. Writing a family of siblings finding love has been a lot of fun.
My Saddles and Secrets series code named Wyoming Wranglers is focused on a rescue ranch for geriatric horses. Someone is causing problems and the local sheriff dept. is trying to find the culprit.
My Helluva Engineer series is a nod to my alma mater. The mineral engineers journey across the mountains to help find the gold mine that has recently started contaminating the Rockin' K ranch. Why it's started having poisonous runoff after two hundred years of dormancy, is the real question.
All my books are stand alone so you don't have to read them all or even in order, although it might be more fun to do so.
Join with me as I tell my stories, weaving real tidbits from my life in with imaginary ones. You'll have to guess which is which. It will be a hoot!
4* Deborah & Terry haven't had a good start to been friends after the rude reception he gave her when she first started her photography assignment. How wrong could two people be about each other? and when they can't deny their chemistry any longer, will they be able to make things work?. I've enjoyed reading all the books in this series and although standalone each having their own ending I feel the author makes you fall in love with each character as the series continues I'm so looking forward to reading more.
This is another in the Lake Chelan series by Shirley Penick. I have found these books to be interesting and fun to read and this book is not exception. Deborah and Terry have passion for all aspects of their lives, will they ever figure out that they are meant to be together? I recommend that you get this book and read it. It's well written and you'll think you know the characters. I was given an advanced reader copy and this is my voluntary review.
