I liked the book i couldn't believe she did that to his wife, daughter, and unborn child i didn't think that was right, i don't think Alexa had anything to do with it obviously she knew Brice before Mirror did nd Mirror shouldn't have took it out on Alexa and his kids. I also couldn't believe what she was doin to her mother i think she should have helped her mother out i think she should have put her in rehab her self, put her in a better living enviroment, and help clean her self up i mean that's wat i would have done for mii mother i don't care wat she done to me i still would have helped her as much as i could no matter how mad i was with her. At the end i wasn't at all surprised when Mirror found out that Brice was wit her mother she knew that she was gunna get hers one daii for all the bad things she's done i was surpirsed when Mrs. Khan injected her with that needle thought i couldn't believe it she never saw it coming that's the crazy part.... i was shocked that she got the herpies form her father though that was messed up nd Cookie being her mother should have done something to protect her daughter not take a man's word over her daughters but over all the book was very good and Tiphani Montgomery is a very good writer nd i look forward to reading more of your books in the future....

Mirror was the type that liked to downplay where she actually came from and constantly told lies. She was acting as if she was better than others and neglected the fact that the lifestyle she tried to keep up could easily be taken away. She was the manipulative type and didn't care who she destroyed in the process as long as she got what she wanted. Her condition and the way she got it was shocking and explained her relationship with Cookie. She was playing a dangerous game when it came to peoples lives and didn't have a care in the world. In the beginning I liked Brice but should've known there was more to him because he was so quick to give. It was clear he was a boss but as far as his personality, it switched with the quickness. Who would've ever guessed Mirror would finally meet her match and experience first hand what it's like to be led on. Mirror had a delusional moment and her accusations towards Brice didn't make things better. Nurse Khan held true to her word and Mirror paid dearly. Mirror's karma came about full forced and she realized too late all the problems her actions caused. Having expensive taste really isn't always what it's cracked up to be because you never know when you'll find yourself in a needy position.

After reading, and wondering what Mirror's downfall would be, a few popular adages came to mind that applied to Mirror's trifling derriere: 'Karma is a Bitch', 'What goes around, Comes around!', and 'You reap what you Sow!'

My first time reading this author's words, and this story-line was interestingly edgy.

Karma is a...

I have to commend Tiphani? Hope I didn't just butcher your name. Black folk makin' up names. Shackin' my head... Anyway. I commend the...author...for the best book that I have read all year.

After downloading the preview I was hooked. Hooked enough to pay $9.99 for a digital copy. In fact the...only...negative thing that I have to say about the book is the price.

However, I noticed the...author...has recently dropped the price to $5.99 which is a good idea because I hope she sells a ton of copies now that she has a price that is more realistic for what the market will bear.

But enough of me rambling. The best reading in my opinion highlights characters that you know or can identify with. The main character Mirror, is a Unbeweivable, ColoredContactWearin, FakeNailSportin, SiliconTitsHavin, BootyByInjectionsShackin, trifling heifer who thinks she deserves the very best in life when everything about her is fake and she has absolutely nothing to offer but well used mouth and coochie. Lord do I know women like her!

Mirror was never content. Always on the prowl for a guy with a bigger paycheck and as soon as she found him she wasted no time blowing up the bridge behind her not caring who she destroyed in the process.

This uncaring behavior towards people in general created enemies for Mirror on pretty much a daily basis. In fact, Mirror had so many enemies that when Karma started biting her in the ass she had no clue who was F'ing with her.

I loved it.

But what I loved best, is that Mirror was too stupid to realize that a black man with a dream is a powerful thing. There are many good black men out there with a vision of themselves that has not come to fruition yet. Many women will either use or not give this type of man the time of day.

Mirror discounts such a man in this story and in the end he blows up...majorly...and all she can do is look stupid wondering what might have been if she just had a little sense.

I'm looking forward to reading more work from this author.

This book was fantastic. It totally took me by surprise. The language on the first page left me wondering but after that I was hooked. The story just kept getting better and better. When the suspense of wanting to know what was next seemed in sight something else would arise. Tiphani definitely knows how to hook you. The story was smooth, meaning I didn't find the lull that usually appears in the middle towards the end of most books. The time just passed away for me when reading " Expensive Taste". Everything that Mirror initially ran away from came back to haunt her in a horrible way. Most often people think they can do dirt and never have to pay the reaper well, say hello!

From richest to rags......Mirror had it going on, but wanted more. Wanted a man with money that rich man with fat pockets....but she has a mouth on her that kept getting her in trouble. I didn't care too much for the clothing name dropping but I had to remember the title of the book so it fit. Mirror went from trailer park to living it up, but it's wasn't enough. She meets Brice a man with money, but a man with his own reasons for doing what he does....
I enjoyed the storyline it kept my attention and I must say Mirror got what she had coming to her.

This was one of the less interesting reads. After reading The Millionaire Mistress duo I rushed to add this to my experience....Unfortunately Mirrior was a typical BITTER HOOD CHICK ...Her prey were less SAAVY which was also a surprise....due to the fact that they were MILLIONAIRES....Expensive Taste is not a book that should be purchased but shared TRUST ME ONE CAN WAIT THEIR TURN AS OPPOSE TO SPENDING TEN PLUS DOLLARS ON A ONE TIME READ....

This book was sooo good. It was a page turner. Not one page was a boring one. From the beginning I felt the main character was no good and got what she deserved, but couldn't help feel for her at times too. This is definitely a must-read!!! I loved it!!!

I loved it, completely had me indulged in the story the whole time....and really Karma is a b*^$#. I think Mirror had a hard life growing up and had no idea what love was and towards the end i realized the girl was really CRAZY!!!! I cant see how she will ever bounce back but hey....
