She’s his little sister’s best friend—totally off limits. But then again, this tattooed bad boy has never followed the rules.

I can’t remember a time when I wasn’t in love with Nathan Burns. We met when I was six and twenty years later, I love him still. But he’ll never see me as anything other than his little sister’s best friend—a pest—if he even thinks of me that

Another great addition to the Burns Brothers!

Maddie’s life was a mess and she’s just barely holding on. Add the fact that her friends are all in amazing relationships and living happy lives, had her confidence taking a beating. I appreciated that despite experiencing those lows, she stayed strong and kept plowing onwards.

I was worried that Nathan’s sudden awareness of Maddie, after knowing her for years, would not be believable. That’s the biggest struggle I have with this trope. And while it w

It feels like it's been forever since I read the other Burns brother’s books. And I have to say I picked this up not really remembering what had happened in those earlier books. But as I started reading it all came flooding back to me and I sat with bated breath wanting to know what was going to happen.

Maddie and Nathan's story was a semi typical little sisters best friend. Except it was in the Burns brothers motorcycle building, reality show, world. Full of testosterone and ego, each of the bro

Maddie has been in love with Nathan since they were kids, but to him she was just another little sister. Then his eyes are opened and they start dating and fall in love. It wasn't that easy though. There's family drama...lots of family issues, friends, but it all works out in the end with a little help from Shakespeare.

Dylan, Dylan, Dylan...the last brother and boy has he gotten himself into a big mess.

Torque is a stand-alone novel part of a family series: The Burns Brothers Series by Gillian Archer.

Gillian Archer is a new to me author and I am grateful to have had the opportunity to read this book because without the recommendation, I don’t think this book would have been on my radar.

Torgue is about Maddie and Nathan. Nathan is one of the Burns brothers. As this is a series, it’s clear from the beginning of reading this book that the prior three novels were about the other brothers. There w
Torque by Gillian Archer is the fourth book in the Burn Brother’s Series. The series follows a family of brothers and sisters (who are really cousins). There are anger issues, brawling and a custom motorcycle shop along with a TV series based on the motorcycle shop and the brothers. Each book is about another member of the family.

The novel, Torque is about Nathan, someone who is angry most of the time. Hot tempered and on edge, he is all about taking care of his family. Maddie has known Nathan

Some books need a little time to get you sucked in their stories. Some books get you obsessed since the first page.

This one, for me, unfortunately, wasn't either.

We are thrown in the scene and it was very fast paced. I read a couple chapters (which are really short) and I was already at 11 %.
For so little pages this book contained a lot. Like A LOT a lot.

One Hot Brother!!

The Burns brothers are all equally as hot, each in their own way. Nathan is the one that Maddie never saw or felt as a brother though. She had more or less grown up with the Burns family with Sabrina and Dylan being her best friends but it was Nathan she had always secretly crushed on. Now years later it’s Nathan that has his attention drawn to the hot babe in a bikini by the pool. Once he discovers its Maddie he now takes his blinders off and actually “sees” her.

I was given an ARC for an honest review. Two stars out of five. (my rating system: [one star = no.] [two stars = meh] [three stars = okay] [four stars = yes.] [five stars = wow!]) Torque is book four in the Burns brother series and can be read as a standalone.

This is my first book from Gillian Archer, I haven't read the previous Burn Brothers novels. Perhaps if I had, the context would have given the book more depth but unfortunately Torque wasn’t my cup of tea. The female lead is more timid/wea

Even without reading any of the previous books in the series, I was instantly hooked on Torque! And I can definitely say I’ll be going back to read the previous books.

I loved almost all of the characters in this book! Maddie was someone that I definitely saw a little bit of myself in. She was a bit of a pushover - and I can totally relate unfortunately. But at least we’re self aware pushovers. I really liked how the author dealt with her development through Torque, and by the end she was startin

Book number 4 in the series. Has Maddie who is Sabrina’s best friend and is also friends with Dylan who is the youngest brother, they actually were in school together and became close growing up. She is now sleeping on his couch because the apartment she lives in has gone to shit and is not safe. The problem is that Dylan has bigger issues than just his brothers and won’t tell anyone.

I was given this book for an honest review by Wicked Reads.

My review is of an unedited, pre-release copy of this book and assumes that any errors were corrected prior to publication.

The Burns brothers are back at it. This time, Nathan is trying to figure out why they agreed to do the tv show. It's one thing to have people film them while they work, it's another thing to have it be scripted

This is book 4 in this series about the Burns family. The first 3 books are about how Austin, Ryan and Sabrina get their happily ever after. Austin is the oldest, Ryan is the peacekeeper and Sabrina is the only girl in this brood. This is Nathan's book.

Maddie Roberts is Sabrina's best friend. She has been in love with Nathan since she was six and her family moved down the street from the Burns kids. She is now 26 and is a librarian, but is having some issues with her job and living situation. S

I read book three in the Burns Brothers series nearly a year ago now. When I saw that instalment number four was available to read and review, I jumped a the chance. I enjoyed the last one so much and although these are part of a series, you don't have to have read the other books. In fact, I haven't read the first two (yet).

Can’t get enough of the Burns brothers! After getting to know Maddie in the previous installment in this series, I was so excited to see her finally get what she has always wanted as she’s been in love with Nathan Burns since the day she met him. Nathan is truly an explosive individual, which is understandable knowing what he went through at a young age but has met his match in Maddie when she puts her foot down and doesn’t give him what he wants. Always looking to immediately fix things, Nathan ...more

4 Stars for this sister's best friend romance.

I thought Maddie was really sweet .... naive but sweet and she couldn't catch a break. And Nathan was growly but underneath all that surliness was a protector with a heart of gold. I found the banter between the characters very realistic ... especially between the brothers. I think what made the brothers so believable was that they didn't get along all the time ... they had their fights like real brothers do. I laughed so hard when the brothers would

I’ve plowed through this series in a matter of days. That’s how much I’m loving the Burns brothers and their family. And I couldn’t wait to see how Nathan and Maddie finally manage to get together. I was absolutely not disappointed in their story.

Maddie’s luck just keeps right on giving lately. The only problem? It’s all bad. And since she’s clearly never going to be seen as anything other than a little girl in Nathan’s eyes, it’s time to move on. Or so she thinks. Because Nathan finally clues

Maddie has been in love with Nathan for as long as she can remember but Nathan doesn't know she exists other than as his sister's friend. When she decides it's time to move on and try to forget him, she joins a dating app.

Maddie has loved Nathan for practically her whole life. As his little sisters’s (really his cousin, but raised as siblings) best friend Maddie has been there for all the good and bad times in his life, almost as if she too was part of the family, even to the point of going to the weekly family dinner, but what happens when he realizes there’s more to Maddie than meets the eye. I was reluctant to like Nathan because he's always been a hothead and the most hostile to his brother's girlfriends. But this book really took a deep dive into who he is and I loved actually getting to know him. His transformation from not really thinking of Maddie in a romantic way to seeing her for the first time as more than his sister's annoying friend is fun to watch.

Maddie was fantastic and while many wouldn't have seen the two of them together, Maddie sees the best in Nathan and I enjoye

The heroine has a childhood crush on the hero that she thinks will remain unrequited and thus decides to move on. Her action to do that makes the hero realize that he heroine is not only his cousin's best friend but a beautiful woman. As the two begun dating, they have to handle family, personal issues, and more as the two fall in love.

Burning Hot! Nathan Burns finally opens his eyes and sees the girl that has been in his life for years, his sister's best friend, Maddie, as a woman, a hot, sexy woman he is enamored with.

Maddie is one you fall in love with in previous books in this series; therefore, I would recommend reading this book as part of the series rather than a standalone to get the enter emotional feel of this book. Maddie is a rat hole apartment and moves in with Nathan's brother, Dylan, rather than with Nathan. Na

Hot headed Burns brother, Nathan finally getting his story and at times I felt so bad for him and others I wanted to slap him. Nathan has had a rough life just like the rest of his brothers but at times I felt he was misunderstood, and his brothers didn’t appreciate him at all. Yes, he has a bad temper, but he just tries to keep everyone in line and working hard. I liked this book a lot, even without reading the first two stories in the series. I assume they are all about the different brothers each getting their own romance and having missed out on Austin and Ryan's story I'm not really that upset. Sometimes I like walking into a story with established couples as the side characters.

I did like watching Nathan fall for Maddie, even if it did stem completely from lust. That's the only thing that I wish had been slightly different, but when you've known s

This story was a sweet realisation of feelings. An eye-opening kind of smack in the face of feelings that made me smile and shake my head at times. The family dynamic is totally engrossing in this whole series so I was invested from the start. The storyline is a sweet one with a bit of drama and a dash of mixed emotions due to the opinions of others.

I am so enjoying this series! The brothers' Burns are so dynamic and each has their own strengths and weaknesses.

This is the story of Nathan and Maddie.

Nathan is the pushy, no holds barred Burns brother. He wants things his way and will do whatever it takes to make it happen, even to his own detriment. He has known Maddie since childhood and has always seen her as a little sister, until one day he doesn't and boy do the sparks fly!

Maddie has had a not-so-secret crush on Nathan since forever.  W

Nathan has a little sister who is best friends with Maddie so he's seen her as anything but that. Maddie has had a thing for Nathan as far as she can remember, but finally she's accepted that he'll never see her in that way so she's moving on. All of a sudden Nathan has noticed Maddie is all grown up, and this is where it gets dicey for me. See, he came around in one moment, not a build up to it so it was hard to swallow for this cynical girl to be honest. That's not to say that y'all will see i ...more
