He’s never taken a taxi, watched a protest, or seen the world’s health and financial systems get crashed within months. All RoNA knows is his viral culture, a culture that has been living a comfortable, cozy, and monotonous life in bats. But all of that is about to change when a mysterious two-legged mammal arrives and sends him on the adventure of his lifetime, leading him to new and wondrous places that he never even thought could possibly exist. Full of viral friends, magical transport systems, and new potential hosts around every corner, a unique destiny awaits him . . . that is, if he can manage to maintain control . . .

I finished the book within the hour, which was surprising for me because I usually got distracted when reading book. Despite being a 'book', the whole story was only 80 pages long, and the likeable Lord RoNA Virion (Yes that is our protagonist) entertained me well enough to keep me turning pages.

It was a refreshing read as the virus was personalised to make it relatable to us fellow human. As mentioned in the book. "We all want to ensure our survival. You see, it's nothing personal for us, really." Then our lord go rest while his microscopic virions carry his deeds. See? Relatable. Prime example of task-delegation as its finest.

After finishing the book, the last note from the author put a spin to our perspectives. We are all inhabiting the Earth. Us and the virus. It makes me think what if to some other organisms, we are the intruders? What if we, just like the virus, is using our resources/power to ensure our own survival at the detriment of other beings?

It worths reading for fun, if you're looking for a short read about the life of Lord RoNA Virion and negate away from all of the negativity we consumed from current media covers.

It’s a really very useful and informative book for everyone, old and young. The book is based around the corona virus pandemic and seen from the unique perspective of the virus itself. If the virus could think, what would it say? How would it see our human world? The book is funny, educational and has science in it.
The individual of Lord RoNA is outstanding engaging in the course of his in his adventure of adventures from begin to give up. The topic is so gift and packaged superbly and humorously. There are a few jokes in there that virtually made me snigger. Some are extra ‘hidden’ then others, however humorous nonetheless.
The book is written in very simple and easy language. I notably endorse this one to everybody who has been touched by the recent pandemic, or in different words: all and sundry.

This is a fantastic read! I really like how it is written from the point of view of the virus instead of the point of view of human beings- it really lets you get inside the mind of the virus and makes you wonder what the virus would say if it could talk. That is something very original and fascinating as a reader to contemplate!
The Humans and I is written in an easy- to-read manner, where the pages just seem to fly by and it is a very enjoyable read. I highly recommend this book to all my friends here on Goodreads and beyond. I was thoroughly entertained the whole way through and I think that Emil Kert is a very talented writer and storyteller.

It’s almost as if the virus had Emil write the book for him, after gaining all the bad publicity worldwide. The book is knitted with a beautiful blend of humor and science. I enjoyed myself throughout the book, glad to be gaining knowledge while having a great time. Highly recommended!

PS. I still think my conspiracy about Emil should be investigated

This book is an enjoyable one, especially during these times. Very funny to see what the author has envisioned for what the viruses thoughts could have been. The character Lord RoNA Virion is a perfect character with its wit and humor. I have got the opportunity to learn many things about the concurrent coronavirus pandemic with scientific facts from it. It’s a nice compact package. (Or how RoNA would say, Short but oh my!).

This book is a smart experiment on the topic of the current Coronavirus pandemic, which the author has turned into a satirical and interesting story. He speaks from the perspective of the leader of the Corona virus, Lord RoNA Virion (which is a hilarious character). RoNA not only displays human traits but also eloquent intelligence. Unlike his counter part Control, at least in the beginning. The reader will be stuck with it from start to finish. It is a suitable book for all ages.

This is one of the best books I have read recently, hands down. The topic is so present and packaged beautifully and humorously. There are some jokes in there that really made me chuckle. Some are more ‘hidden’ then others, but funny nevertheless. I highly recommend this one to anyone who has been touched by the recent pandemic, or in other words: everyone!

The Humans and I is a clever take on the corona pandemic, twisting it into an eloquent tale of satire. Set from the perspective of a sentient coronavirus leader, it showcases the author's ability to cleverly weave together a story that would keep the reader entrapped in it from start to finish. It's a book anyone could read, young or old.

I was searching for a book in the comedy and science genre when I came across this book. And what a surprise! This book is packed with hilarious punches as well as scientific findings. In this dreadful time when people are driven with depression and anxiety I believe this book is a must for them irrespective of their age. Happy reading

This book is one of the best one written so far on the coronavirus pandemic. It is full of emotions, spun into a beautiful story, judged and not judged by the virus itself. The book is a mixture of science and fun that is nicely tied together by the journey of Lord RoNA. I highly recommend this book to people who want to explore about the coronavirus and the pandemic in a casual way.

Although I prefer thriller and romantic genre this book has made me want to explore the comedy genre. Very unique concept and Lord Rona Virion is an awesome character to begin with. The journey of corona from bats to humans so nicely represented. The jokes were to the point and hilarious. As book readers say “A Must Read”.

I am a germophobe and am obsessed with cleaning. This was in fact a fun way to see how long the virus survived on surfaces and how it travels. My sister recommended it to me because well, she knows I am crazy about surfaces and sanitizing the heck out of it. It is humorous yes, but I didn’t get a few jokes to be honest but it was well worth it for me because of the science!

It teaches you to look at this whole pandemic with a more humane view, almost. Haven’t seen anything like this before in this space (and I have been reading A LOT about the outbreak). It also contains some twists at the end which were funny. Great combination of fun and science! Hands down the best of 2020 so far.

Through the character of Lord RoNA Virion, the author has effectively demystified the coronavirus pandemic and made it into something easy to digest, while also conveying the very real threats of the virus. I recommend this book to people of ALL ages who are looking to lessen their fears of the pandemic.

It’s a short one, but quite punchy. I wasn’t looking for a humorous book, rather for a covid-19 guide. But the jokes were a fun addition to break up the science facts. Most people will be able to identify with this, because it all hit us the same way. No one got spared. Yes of course some were hit harder than others, but we, are all in this together.

Funny! I love RoNA. Almost wish he could start explaining some other strange things that are happening around the planet. (SPOILER ALERT: Orange-haired human! That got me laughing out loud big time. You will know when you read it.) The humor is quite dry which I like, all the facts around the pandemic a nice bonus.

This book offers a fresh perspective on how the virus, or rather, an Anthropomorphized leader of the virus views humanity in a quirky but eye-opening way. The premise allows for a humorous take on an otherwise bleak situation for most. I first thought this would more suited for a younger audience, but I also learned interesting new things about the virus. Totally recommended.
