When the pair unwittingly discover the decaying remains of a Cold War super-weapon, they naturally do what any rebellious teenager would... rebuild it as a time machine!

With the help of Victoria, a gothic computer geek with a mysterious past, the boys execute a daring break-in into a top-secret government lab to steal the power source for their time machine. What will it look like? A blue telephone booth, maybe? Of course not! Their time machine takes the form of an old F-14 Tomcat they find abandoned in the desert!

As the boys contemplate their first-time jump, they run into a problem. Hubert is only interested in exploring his future while Joey desperately wants to go back in time to save his father. Their discussion becomes irrelevant, however, when are knocked off course and get trapped in another dimension.

Desperately trying to find a way out, they finally make it back to Earth only to discover that their actions have radically altered the present. Worse yet, they've also transported with them a swarm of horrifying aliens in search of a new food source.
