My name is Lizzie Bufford and I am far from normal. You see, I know ghosts and demons exist. How? Because I am the daughter of Sadie Sanders-Bufford--mediator to the dead extraordinaire. However, that isn’t what makes me different. No, discovering I am a Shadow Seeker is what truly signifies my own fate in the supernatural world.

In one breath, my entire life was flipped up

Heck To The Yes! I loved this book! I am so excited about this series. This is a spin off of the young adult paranormal mystery series Wicked Cries. In Wicked Cries we follow Sadie and her boyfriend Noah and their best friend Lucy in their teens. Now they are grown up and we meet Sadie's daughter Lizzie. She is so much like Sadie. She has secrets and paranormal abilities. While Sadie is a mediator for the dead, Lizzie can see shadows. Her parents suddenly move them from Salem to Nicholasville in ...more

This book was amazing! I loved it. It's unique and captivating. You'll want to keep turning the pages at the fastest pace possible because you need to know what happens next.

Lizzie isn't your normal teenage girl even though she tries to act like it. She comes from a blood line that dabbles in the supernatural. Having to move is the last thing she wants but soon finds out there is a much bigger reason for the move.

Ace is broody and different yet you'll love him. You'll want to know his secrets.

"Shadow Seeker was a surprise of story. I expected high levels of darkness and steamy moments but no. Don't get me wrong it was a really good story though it's been like ages since I last read a book that wasn't dark at all. Yes, they're were some 'run for your life moments' and monsters hidden on the most unexpected places. Lizzie knew she was different long before she left Salem but she never expected the 'life changing revelation'. Try making friends on a new town and pretending to be normal ...more

„Shadow Seeker“ marks the start into the “The Crow Haven Series” by Michelle Areaux. A new addition to the supernatural/romance genre

Lizzie Buffort (FMC) has been different all her life, after all she is the daughter of Sadie Sanders-Buffort a well-know medium, whose connection to the dearly deceased has been a constant in Lizzie’s life forever: ghosts and demons are real, she even sees them with her own two eyes. Nevertheless, things change as she not only discovers that she is indeed a shadow

Remember those old school Paranormal YA books? Like way back-in-the-day, there was L.J. Smith's The Secret Circle. Or Annette Curtis Clause's Blood and Chocolate. Morganville Vampires by Rachel Caine. That is what this reminded me of; it reminded me of those.

Lizzie Bufford is a Shadow Seeker. Not that she knows it. She just sees shadows, and they are freaking her out because they are coming after her. So when her parents decide that they are moving her from Salem, Massachusetts to Kentucky, she
This was a fun read! Lizzie isn’t your normal teen. She knows demons and ghosts exits and on top of that she can see shadows. This story has plenty of action and adventure, with demons on the loose and after Lizzie and her friends. Plus, there is some romance with her best friends’ brooding brother. I would recommend this book to any young adult paranormal romance readers. I look forward to the next book.

Shadow Seeker is the first book in A Crow Haven series.

The story line is very unexpected and fast, the book quite gripping.

In many places though the interpersonal relationships and the conversation, behavior comes across as very childish. This is in contrast to most of the book. Also, the way that necklace is found is the lamest possible episode in the book. It is disconnected and that space does not fit in with the letter that was left as well as the fact that that place is of very low significance.

I liked this story about a typical teenager who starts a new school in a new town. Of course Lizzie is a typical teen but with the added paranormal issues that run in her family. She was a hoot to read as the usual weird girl gains friends, learns about herself, and faces danger in a typical small town with secrets. It was fun to watch and guess what might happen next. It had the typical teen angst expected but the paranormal bits were fun. And Lizzie, Ace and Maylee are fun. Just an entertainin ...more

One thing is for sure when I open a Michelle Areaux book, it doesn’t fail to make me lose track of time. Shadow Seeker is book one in the Crow Haven series and WOW!!! Lizzy has never been a normal normal, then add to that her life is flipped upside down when her parents move her from Salem MA, to Nicholasville KY. Being no stranger to the fact that demons and ghosts exist it’s another story when they are after you. Making friends, unraveling mysteries, trying to save lives and not die in the pro ...more

I really enjoyed this fun YA paranormal romance! It was fun and had action and romance. I really enjoyed following Lizzie around through her adventure in her small town. The romance was also sweet and clean. This is a definite must-read if you enjoy YA paranormal romance with some action and adventure.

This is the 4th book I've read written by Michelle Areaux; she has done a great job at writing a good book; I can’t wait to read more of her books.

This is what I would call a typical YA paranormal romance. The story is predictable with nothing really new that other authors haven't tried, but I don't mind that. If you like this sort of thing then this book is for you. ...more

How is this book rated so high? Has it even been edited? Many spelling and grammar issues, and inconsistent use of spelling of the protagonist's name (Lizzie / Lizzy).

I loved this story with a wonderful premise and fantastic delivery. The main character is delightful and I found her very entertaining. The entire cast of characters is fascinating and the role they play in her drama were varied yet perfect for the storyline. The story is a perfectly crafted YA story and I highly recommend.
