MAKE MY DAY, LITTLE GIRL
One thing I can usually say, Ms. Jane Henry rarely disappoints with her writing, bigger than life characters, and scenarios. What a sixth great story to this series, Dangerous Doms, and with it, you have the good, the bad, and the ugly. The story keeps the pages turning with a powerful, dominant man, Tiernan Hurston, adopted into the family and loyal without a fault, and Aisling, a friend of Fiona.
Tiernan Hurston, along with sisters Sheena and Fiona, were removed from Stone City and brought to the McCarty compound. Tiernan was a bitter sixteen-year-old who had been the protector of his family. Keenan will place him at St. Albert’s, the clans finishing school where he will learn control, discipline, and the arts. It is at St. Albert’s and under the tutelage of Malachy that Tiernan will learn martial arts and boxing.
Aisling and Fiona had been close, but when it became dangerous for Fiona to remain in America, she will return to Ireland, where she and Lachlan marry. Aisling is like a lost girl; her parents' divorce, her mother moves to America, and her father takes his own life. How did she fall so far that now she is a call girl? Not only that, she is strung out on drugs to survive.
The story will have Keenan giving Tiernan permission to once again be in the boxing ring for a fight. The entire McCarthy family will be there to lend support. There is a high dollar prize plus a guarantee for a night with one of Miss Vivian’s girls. What a shock when Aisling sees that one of the fighters is none other than Tiernan. Can she get away without him finding her? This is the man she has loved from a distance, a man of the McCarthy clan, and her best mate’s brother.
This story's plot will bring Aisling and Tiernan together when he hears a woman screaming for help and finds a man attacking with the intent of rape. He will kill him and see that the woman is none other than Aisling. Now, the McCarthy clan must cover this up, get her to the compound and deal with her and Tiernan.
“You killed a man for her tonight, Tiernan. It’ll be your job to keep her. She’s your responsibility now. You have to make it clear she will not report you,” Keenan says. “And since you made this bed, you’ll have to sleep in it.”
Before they can see what will happen, Tiernan will work for days helping Aisling come down off of withdrawal, then news of who the man was he killed will escalate things, and they will need to go in hiding. The story is packed full of mystery, suspense, life and death danger, dominant men, and the submissive but strong-willed woman that loves them. The chemistry between Tiernan and Aisling adds a delicious layer to this tale. It includes strict discipline, spankings, and sizzling hot sex scenes. But all that isn’t enough when danger and threats are coming at you.
“You aren’t alone in this. You don’t fight these battles alone. You’ve got an army of brothers here who’ve got your back. Don’t take any of this on alone.”—Lachlan
Ms. Jane' Henry's characters are powerful men, not without imperfections, and nothing that happens in her books are over the top. Her books are page-turners with plenty of mystery, suspense, danger, and action. Throw in a dominant man, Tiernan, loyal through and through, and then his feelings for Aisling. It was one thing to protect a woman in need, but this woman means something to him. Their journey will be riddled with trials and life and death scenarios. Together, with Keenan’s approval, they will find a way to stay together.
“It’s the joining of two souls who’ve found one another despite everything that’s threatened to tear them apart.”
