Gang life isn't for everyone, but a b*tch in colors always looks good.
The West Side Wolves claim to be a brotherhood, but what do they do when a sister walks in demanding their attention?
To everyone else, stepping into the Wolf Den was an epic mistake, filled with consequential betrayals. But to me, it was a necessity and I’m more than prepared to take on the vile evils that come with the territory because, in the end, it gets me one step closer to taking down Dominic Garcia.
The b*tch is back. It’s kill or be killed. Ride or f*cking die.
Every step I take drags me further and further away from my life with Colton. I’m taking hit after hit and time is officially ticking. I just hope that what we have is strong enough to pull us through to the other end because Colton Carrington is my end game.
It’s time to stand up for what I believe in and make my move.
It’s now or never. Fate won’t wait for anybody.
The end is near; I feel it in my bones. But after all is said and done, where does that leave us, and who will be left standing?
I love this series!! Yes, it might be slightly unrealistic, and the FMC might be a tad bit annoying at times - but the story, the drama, the love, the twists, the personalities, and the intense, emotional, plus thought-provoking way it was all combined made it so that I ate it all up. 👏
When I read a book. It’s an escape from all the BS going on in the world. So. It’s imperative for me to identify with the female lead character
At the start of the first book, in the Rejects Paradise Series, I loved Ocean/Jade for her stubbornness, take no prisoners attitude. Now, after reading this last book in the series I can’t stand her. She is sleazy with a filthy mouth & a superiority complex. She makes stupid mistakes and has a tendency to over reach in her abilities.
God. I don’t even like her friends Hendrix/Drix and Jess. They come across as vapid.
This book starts where the last one finished. Ocean, seventeen, knock up (her words) after discovering she is a wolf, walks into the Wolves den. This stupid decision on her part, causes a ripple effect that sends the Black Widows & the Wolves into a gang war for the right to be ‘numero uno’ in Breaker Flats.
Drama unfolds
This story is so implausible, & the plot is so stupidly UNBELIEVABLE I don’t know where to begin.
First: Let me start by saying,
ELLI...WHAT A BLABBER MOUTH.
How DARE he tell everyone about Oceans *cough* condition That wasn’t his news to tell.
It was mortifying for Ocean that everyone was told about her.
That was the first moment in this novel that got me annoyed.
Second:
Are we supposed to believe a SEVENTEEN YEAR OLD , pregnant girl, can punch the big bad Wolf in the stomach, stealing his gun? ...C,mon
THEN, Much later into the story, she’s smashing down garage doors with a CAR
Helping free semi unconscious large men from a burning building...
AFTER!
She was under specific instructions from her doctor NOT to become too stressed, due to possible miscarriage...... WHAT? WHAT?
By Chapter eight, the Ocean, Colton’s relationship is soooo annoyingly barf worthy, I didn’t know whether to continue.
If she’s not constantly drooling over his body, he’s constantly grinding against her.
A lot of the time I would skip sex scenes between Colton and Ocean/Jade because, frankly, they were getting on my nerves,& it started to feel like a plot filler
Ocean wants it all. She wants Colton but, she can’t stand not being around “her guys”from the Black Widows, BECAUSE! Of course, Colton’s attention is not enough for her, she has to have ALL the guys fawning over her.
She doesn’t want Nic being so mean (I LOVE him mean and crazy)
She wants 2 bake a rainbow cake with unicorns, & have the rival gangs join hands, sing songs around the campfire.
Thing is, she egotistically thinks SHE’s the one to do this because, she is so pretty, brave with her smart mouth,...blah! blah! blah!
Another thing? Why, WHY is it always Freakin, Colton to the rescue!!
Does EVERYTHING have go right for these guys?
Yeah.
They get themselves into drama but, but...then things swing their way and bingo! Next minute....
There out of danger...What a waste..& a frustrating read Colton is nothing more than an arrogant p**k. I hate him.
An 18 yo smart a** who thinks he’s running the show because he has money.
Yeah. I’m team Nic Garcia ALL THE WAY
Another annoying part, the scene where the Wolves all drop to theirs knees for Ocean...Ugh! No! No! No!
What a corny, scene, and what a power trip it sent Ocean on.
“And just like that, I’ve become the most powerful woman Blaxlands Grove has ever seen.”
Yeah,she’s lovin, it
However one of the most cringe worthy moments was, Ocean deciding she’s going to go to college, get some kind of degree, SO......
She can start a foundation to rescue kids…I kid you not.
AND!
Mr (bottomless pockets)Colton is going to make it happen.
“It makes me a boyfriend who wants to see his girl fly.” Barf! Could this book get anymore “daytime movie”!
Moving on…
The whole part revolving around the fire was meant to be dramatic but ended up like every other big drama...Resolved with Ocean being more adored by her enemies.
Oh!
Did I mention, she runs around in a burning building kicking down door while ten weeks PREGNANT! ....
This girl is a pain in the a**
I was SOOO disappointed in this book.
Anne Sheridan, leads Us down the path creating all this gripping, edge of the seat drama THEN, pours a bucket of water over it.
WITH IN MINUTES!!!
Everything gets resolved & everyone is once again, playing happy families (or gangs)
I was so sick of Ocean getting her own way ALL. THE. DAMN. TIME!
Everyone agreeing to play nice because THATS how SHE wants it....Aaaaggghh!
There’s a moment towards the end where we are privy to Oceans inner musings as she recalls her past months experiences and she says-
“There’s nothing stopping me from having the future I want and deserve. You know, as long as I work my ass off for it.”
Yeah, RIGHT…” Works her ass off for it” You mean, you have a billionaire 18 yo boyfriend, with deep pockets, who takes care of EVERYTHING financial, legal and.. illegal.
So, I made it to the end and got the HEA I didn’t need, or ask for
But!
Nic Garcia throws a little twist in right at the end. All ready for the next book.
WHY, …OH WHY, did he have to forgive Her and she him.
I wanted then to carry a grudge ( I love a good grudge )
Yeah.
Won’t be reading Nic book. Sorry, not sorry This series is now so predictable, and formulaic.
If you like this kind of story go read someone else’s they do it a hell of a lot better because this, THIS! Was just a plain bad read .

This is the final book in the Rejects Paradise series and it is everything .. Sheridan is always a one click author for me, because she always brings it all to the table .. There’s a bit of everything in this series but she took this book to a whole new level .. You have to read in order or you will have no idea what’s going on and trust me .... you don’t want to miss a single word!
As much as I didn’t like Colton in the beginning, I am so in love with him now.. He’s really grown up in each of the books.. he’s loving, protecting and downright swoon worthy,, Oceania knows what she has with him, it’s a once in a lifetime kind of love .. Yet she is constantly trying to handle things on her own .. which would be admirable if the consequences weren’t so severe every single time.. she’s trying to dig herself out but she keeps getting further in.. and this time a war is coming and the fall out is going to be epic ..
From the jump off on page one, I was captivated and it just sucked me in.. I could not stop reading .. I was like yelling at her and I cried for her and I even laughed sometimes .. you know it’s a good story when you are telling her how to handle things like she can hear me! I don’t know how anyone could put this book down.. I savored the pages because I knew it was the end and I wasn’t ready for it ..
Oceania has to make some very tough choices in this book.. Colton stands by her side and it’s so amazing to see how much they have grown up and how far they have come .. it’s hard to believe they are just eighteen at times..
The kindness she shows Nic and the boys even after all they did to hurt her.. shows how much she’s grown and how much she loves them ..it was gut wrenching at times to see the pain it was causing her.. the panic she seemed to always have but couldn’t show.. it’s ironic that Colton ended up being her safe place to fall..
The ending was absolutely perfect and I’m excited to see where Sheridan takes us next ...I have a feeling that Nics book is going to be the best yet..I loved this whole series so much. While I have loved all of Sheridan’s worlds this one has my heart .. epic conclusion
OK so I’m not gonna lie, there’s probably going to be some spoilers in here and I’m about to go on a little rant. WTF just happened? The first two books of the series were simply amazing. The third book killed me. And this book was about the same. I feel I needed a better epilogue between Colton and Ocean. It just ended without much to go on.
Now for the spoilers.....
I am so so mad about how everything went down with Nic. Yes he was the ending of this book and I know he did horrible unspeakable things but after the first 2 books I fell in love with him hard. I could never hate him and how he was written killed something inside of me. No matter what he did I couldn’t look at him as a bad guy so it broke my heart. Obviously there will be a book about him and Roni? Next??? They have some unfinished business it seemed from this book. I’m not sure what’s going on there and as much as I want more Nic my heart is still freaking breaking over this book. Maybe by next year I will be over it at least I hope but I need him to be better and have someone to love him and help him see the light.
Ok enough of the rant this was not a bad story at all but this book had me ugly crying and sobbing all over the place so beware and keep tissues nearby!!!
Ok so I’m giving this 3.5 stars cause I didn’t love it as much as the others.
Ocean annoyed me a lot in this, and Colton turned into a love struck fool, don’t get me wrong I love that he loved her but I enjoyed his badass moments and wanted more of them.
Nic - I have a serious soft spot for the bad boys, I’m not going to lie I’m happy C&O ended together but I would have loved a steamy moment with her and Nic.
I’m so pleased his story hasn’t finished, can’t believe we have to wait until March, but until then!! 😀😀

I read all the books I absolutely loved them until ride or die I just can’t understand why she became such a pathetic whiny person seriously felt disappointed
So there is no other way to say this.....I abso-fu****-lutely loved this book!!!! From start to finish this has been an epic ride. Oceania is so brave and strong that I just admired her resilience throughout the book. Dont even get me started on the guys; Colton Carrington has to be the sexiest and dang near perfect book boyfriend you would ever want! I loved the plot! I ADORED the characters. I loved how after facing such difficult situations Ocean is able to make these decisions that I'm not sure I could make as a grown woman. OMG Dominic, Sebastian, Kairo, and Elijah. What to say about these guys. They are the guys you cant help falling for even though you know they are so bad for you. I didn't want to love them the way they forced me to. Lol All in all I definitely have to recommend this book to all readers. This series was like a mystery combined with an epic love story. Dont miss out on this series!!! Read this book, you will not regret it!!
Well this is it for Ocean and her story. And there is only one option- ride or die. The Rejects Paradise series is Sheridan Anne’s best work to date- and this finale delivers on all the gritty, dramatic, twisty, and sexy story telling we’ve loved thus far while weaving in with a few surprising but deeply emotive moments- all leading up to a jaw dropping ending. What an epic ride this has been!
This series has really been about the evolution of our heroine Ocean. Our sassy, fiery, resilient, at times dangerously impulsive Ocean. But she’s also full of heart, full of love and empathy. We’ve seen her grapple with her identity while living in two different worlds, we’ve seen her overcome trauma and heartbreak, we’ve seen her ultimately choose between those two worlds, and we’ve seen her in an existential crisis- caught between the seductive darkness that permeates the men she loves, her need for revenge, and her own humanity. Her growth has been steady-both a product of her circumstance and a product of her own iron will. But overcoming circumstance, including history and secrets, that has really been the core of Ocean’s character journey. She started as a tough girl who didn’t even know she wasn’t in control of her own life, or who she even was. Then she became a girl constantly at the mercy of the power and secrets of the men around her, to a girl damaged by the trauma and secrets that have embattled her, and last we saw her she was a girl trying to control her own fate- to have the power to decide. To no longer be at the mercy of circumstance- secrets or the past. We saw her make decisions that were empowering, other times frustrating or even dangerous, but we also knew that they were finally Ocean’s. (Most) secrets have been revealed, bonds strengthened and broken, and yet another twist rocked Ocean- one that drove her to a decision none of us expected to start this final story.
I won’t say much about what happens as the result of the epic book 3 cliffhanger, but our story continues to be about Ocean’s power- her Herculean struggle to somehow untangle herself from all the nefarious vines that unknowingly wrapped around her- all while still not even being an legal adult. She’s reclaimed her power mostly, she’s working through her hurt, and she’s determined what lines she’s not willing to cross- but she still makes some mistakes. Pretty epically bad ones- snap impulsive decisions, emotional decisions, but worst of all, isolated decisions. All teens make mistakes- but the stakes of Ocean’s mistakes aren’t that of your average teenager. It’s hard, and frustrating, to watch her make a big mess even bigger- even though we understand somewhat. Ocean has been betrayed so radically it's hard for her to trust- and she’s also always relied on her boys to fix her messes, now she just desperately wants to prove she can handle things herself. But she forgets that what has helped her reclaim her power is actually her vulnerability, her love.
So Ride or Die is really about an empowered Ocean learning to make good decisions, learning to lean on others, and finally finding a way to exist in this messy world that created her AND she created….all while also finding a way to be the version of herself she can live with. The story comes full circle- back where Ocean began, with whom she began, but she’s not that same doe-eyed girl obvious to the truth- she’s staring it down now. The final leg really comes down to loyalty and conscience. And the tension that exists between them. Ocean reconciling the two when they seem to be at odds. Balancing former loyalties and new ones, deciding if she can excuse dark acts in service of a greater good. And watching her work through it in this book is hard- because she keeps making decisions without thinking beyond the next 5 minutes, without the full picture. But we also get to see her learn from her mistakes, and try to fix them- to see the kind and loving person she is as she does so. Our finale leads up to two epic, gut-wrenching, and jaw-dropping decisions. Two final choices that both seal Ocean’s destiny and her reclaiming of her fate. And Ocean? She’s grown. She finds a way for loyalty and conscience to co-exist within her- because she pairs them with an open heart and a clear mind. Suddenly, our hotheaded fireball isn’t just a child making very adult decisions-she’s an adult.
The action is crucial, but this story comes down to the relationships. Colton stole my heart in this story. He’s mature, loving, supportive- willingly lets Ocean drive her own ship, even though he knows she’s not making good decisions all the time. He lets her make them- and then he stands by her, even when there is fallout. Their relationship is a steady, grounding presence in this story- a real contrast to the turbulent relationships with her crew- the catalyst for much of this final story. And for much of our angst and pain.
After a turbo speed first few chapters, the story took a minute to pick up- Sheridan really made Ocean sit in it for a bit. But as always, twist abound. The back half of this book is weighty emotionally- old feuds and bad decisions catch up with Ocean quickly. I honestly had no idea where the story would go, how it would end up, but even so, the finale still shocked me. But I felt proud of Ocean- and with one decision in particular, profoundly moved. And the epilogue?! Truly shocking. Parts are certainly bittersweet, even if everything ends just as it should- even if I didn’t see all of it coming. Ride or die? Oh yes, ride we did.
What a ride!!! This series has been absolutely amazing, and I am so emotional right now because holy crap!!! The chaos and drama in this book gave me whip lash, and I spent half the time cursing and the other half crying. I cant wait to have paperback copies of these, they have been fantastic to read! Seriously, perfect end to the series!!!
5 stars for Ride or Die by Sheridan Anne. This is the fourth and final book in the Rejects Paradise Series. This book picks up right where book three left us. Holy crap what an ending. “You live for your brothers, or you die by them.” Ocean has grown throughout this whole series. She is strong, feisty, and a fighter but she is also loving, caring and feels everything. We do get to see this more in this book. She has fought her way to the top even if she doesn’t want it. “Either stand with me, or turn your back on your brothers and walk out the f**king door. But I can guarantee that if you walk, you won’t be going free. Turning your back on me is turning your back on the Wolves and aligning yourself with our enemies. It’s f**king ride or die. So what’s it going to be?” This book was taken to a whole ne level. I love Colton in this book. How he lets Ocean, fly and be who she is meant to be. He stands by her the whole time and even protecting her when she needs it. While, Ocean has grown throughout the books but so has Colton. Tough choices have to be made in this book and while some may not agree I loved how it played into the story. I can not believe how Ocean can still have such kindness in her heart for some of the characters. I do not want to ruin the experience for anyone, so all I’m gonna say is the journey and ending was perfectly epic. Sheridan leaves us with a little taste of what is to come for some of the other characters. Can not wait to see.
I’m known to be a crier for books but this book right here, I was NOT expecting to hit me the way it did. The amount of admiration I have for Ocean in every single line of this entire book-I can’t even put into words.
This book was the perfect ending to Oceans story. And yes to me it is just HER story. Yes she has Colton and so much other good in her life but to me this will always be her story because she grew the most in this series.
This was an absolute roller coaster ride that i will happily ride over and over again.
You think you're ready for this book, but oh how wrong you are my friends. Rejects Paradise has been a hard hitting, jaw dropping, passion and pain filled series. Each book I craved more, more Ocean, more Colton, more Widows, more everything. I was hooked, and if you've been reading along like I have, then I'm sure you're hooked too.
Ride or Die is the conclusion of the Rejects Paradise series. I am already missing O and Colton. Their relationship really shined during this book. The way Colton has grown into such a mature, strong, intelligent, powerful, and complete badass of a man made me proud of him. His love for his Jade is intense, an all consuming, even death couldn't break it, type of love. Ocean grew right along with Colton throughout the series, and had more on her shoulders during this book than any eighteen year old should. Ocean made some bad decisions, decisions that I believe wouldn't have been made if she spoke to Colton first. Her emotions and fear lead her into doing things she wouldn't have done if she'd been of a clear mind. These were some of the moments that her youth, and inexperience showed. The moments when something was said, or done, that reminded us as a reader that this is just a newly eighteen year old girl who should be studying for math tests, or dreaming of prom, made me mourn for O's lost innocence. I didn't envy her for the choices she had to make, for the reality she was made to face. I was grateful she made new allies that watched her back when she was swimming amongst all those sharks. And when she lost one of those allies, I cried so freaking hard. Damn you Sheridan for breaking my heart! That loss made me even more disappointed in O's boys. I guess maybe I shouldn't have, but I just expected better from them. The tension, hurt, betrayal, that lay so heavy over Ocean and the boys relationship was painful, yet she still had love for them. That says a lot about her character, about just how strong and caring she truly is. I loved that Colton stood by her side, supported her, let her lead when she needed to. There is nothing these two can't face when they stand together. It was incredible to witness this.
While this book was heavy, there were moments of fun, laughter, joy, and peace. You will cry, that I can pretty much guarantee you, but you will still feel the love, and you'll smile. Through all the chaos, the hurt, the losses, new friendships were made, life long bonds formed that are priceless. I love Ocean's new family, because that's what they are, family. I'm also really happy that she didn't have to completely lose everything she had before, that things were salvageable in the end. The ending of this series made my heart soar for Colton and Ocean. They both deserve the absolute best, and they found that with each other. Thank you Sheridan Anne for another great series. I'm looking forward to what you give us next.
Right off the bat I was excited. We got to see deeper into Nic which I loved. We saw glimpses of how deprived he was but in this one we got to see the true depth.
Not gonna lie ocean annoyed me in the beginning of this one. One minute she says she thought about the situation thoroughly then the next she says it was rash and didn’t really think about it at all. She was very contradicting which annoyed me. . I was so happy we got more Colton and got to see them actually work together as a team. I felt that was missing in the other books but we truly got see them both work together and ocean finally let him be there every step of the way which I enjoyed. Definitely some moments I didn’t see coming in this book. Pretty sure all I said throughout the book was “oh shit” but hey it really made the book exciting and thrilling to read. In the beginning I wasn’t sure where it was going but I’m so happy at where it went. This was a thrilling read and I love how Sheridan went full circle and tied all the loose ends also. . The angst was high in this! Damn I’ve never been so tense during a read. I have loved every minute of this world. The humour, the darkness, the drama and the emotional roller coaster, all of it made for an amazing series and this was the perfect conclusion. It had it all!. . I cannot wait to see what Sheridan has in store for us next, and considering how this ended? No doubt it will be just as epic!!!
THIS SERIES IS AMAZING!!! I swear I've pulled stomach muscles from being so fricken tense!!!!
😭😭😭 9% in I had tears down my face. I LOVE COLTON. There is no one more willing to die for Ocean than him, yet he is the one left in the dark most of the time 😢 if anyone should be mad, it's him. Yet he never fails to be there for her. 52% through on my kindle, he does the most flawless fucking thing, I can't tell you but the things he does for Ocean is bloody unbelievable. Everything he does is for her. God I wish I could tell you! My heart is broken for Ocean beyond words, the shit she has had to go through 💔 she is a fierce, selfless, loyal boss bitch 🙌🏼 I'll 100% be getting this series in paperback.... That ending, oh my fucking god. I don't know wether to be happy or pissed about it 🤔🙄😂 I hate him but I don't? It's stressing me out 😂 I adore so many of the characters in this series, I could only wish that they ALL got their own books!!
Omg! The fourth and final book in the Rejects Paradise book was just EVERYTHING. There were so many twists and turns and I honestly had no idea how it was going to end!
The characters growth and arc over the four books was just spot on. Ocean was the strongest FMC 🙌🏼 she was put through so much during this book and series and came out completely on top!
And Colton.. what a man! He was just an absolute dream! He treat Ocean like W complete queen with so much love and respect and he just couldn’t do enough for her. Their relationship was just swoon worthy!
Honestly.. this series was just so good! It completely kept you on your toes and you just didn’t know what was going to happen next! The relationships and friendships were just the best! Honestly can’t recommend it enough!
We are finally at the final book in the Rejects Paradise Series!! I am not ready for it!!
With everything that has happened with Ocean 3 books seems like kid play compared to this one! Sheridan Anne really took us on quite the roller coaster with this one. From secrets being exposed, bomb drops, to betrayal, gang fights and all around crazy!! Ahhh it was so good!
But this ending couldn’t be more perfect!! I am so sad that this is the end of O and Colton and honestly even her boys! These characters stole my heart!! Amazing end
So much happened for Ocean in this book. There's no way I could possibly summarize it all. It was the craziest roller coaster ride of the series. Happy that Ocean & Colton got their HEA. Excellent narration by Lessa Lamb & Black Lockheart. I absolutely loved that Lessa narrated a majority of this book & the whole Rejects Paradise series!
The epic conclusion to Oceans story. Holy hell...... it did not disappoint. Love, murder, violence, sex, passion!!!!!!! This book has it all. Another 5* must read for any Sheridan Ann fan x
Thank god this series is over 😖. I skimmed a good portion of this book. Found if I read the first few lines in every paragraph that was all that was needed because again, this book was a mostly a huge pile of filler. I’m only giving this book 3 stars because the writer is accomplished.
Ocean had hardly a lick of common sense and never gained much over the course of the books. Because of this I was not sold on the love story, I think realistically Colton would have kicked the loser to the curb.
And what possible purpose would there ever have been to Russo wanting Ocean in his gang. Absolutely none. Would she have been made the leader of the gang 😂😂😂😂 fuck no.
I have Black Widow and another 4 BOOK SERIES by this writer sitting on my kindle before I started this series 😳. While I will proceed with Black Widow at some point I’m not sure about the other books. Not sure if this writers style of writing is my cup of tea.
This entire review has been hidden because of spoilers.
It took me a few days to finish this book when I usually finish within the day. I enjoyed the first two books but the last two just fell flat to me and I had a hard time keeping myself engaged to the story. The over use of “don’t get me wrong” really started to frustrate me.
Rejects paradise series (books 1-4) review, as a whole.
When I disregard a majority of the things that were annoying as hell for me, I’d give this a solid 4.25…. But the redundancy with personal irritations would make this series took away from everything and knocked this down to 3.5, on a good day, for me… but on GR, I had to round down. There are a few bits that forced me to star-down on this rating, but I’ll get there, eventually, with my explanation.
I’ve put a lot of thought into this, as I’ve read a lot of reviews and spoilers to gain perspective, but that was for research material (I don’t want to waste my time or money on a shit series), and in no way swayed my opinions. Moving on, here we go… 🫣
There were a few plot points that came out of nowhere. I don’t want to give away spoilers, but if I do, they’ll be minimal… but…
**warning: minimal spoilers ahead**
Everything since the beginning of the series, up until midway through the last book has been 15 weeks (let’s say if it took J*hole four weeks to 🤮— 11 weeks at ch 29 of book 4)….. what the actual fuck?!
The timeline is laughable…. There are 10+ life-altering incidents (that took a lot to get to), that happen in that span of time… 15 weeks?! I think it’d be better off of it was in months because it feels like the author was chill with spanning out the series into multiple books for the $$, but not the timeline to make someone understand the character’s actions.
**spoiler** with that timeline in mind, her mother finds out her dead husband was a serial killer enforcer, somehow dealt with the BS going on with her daughter’s predicament, met a man and had enough of a relationship/connection to him to marry him within 5 weeks after meeting him?! Wtf?! **end spoiler **
There’s a large part of me that wants to slap the back of the head of the editors… the timeline of the plot was beyond stupid.
As the time went on, the inner dialogue with the FMC was redundant and obnoxious…. I know the perils of anxiety, but the dialogue wasn’t that… it was entitlement with a dash of stupidity… most of the time.
The back and forth with loyalty was enough for me to want to rate this maximum 2…. What kind of loyal woman goes back and forth between every single person in her life, withhold information from every person who she says she trusts, betrays almost all of them… and after all this fucking time, somehow she has a way of communicating to those she’s proven to be disloyal to over and over again?! It blows my mind!!! NO ONE would have ever dealt with her shit if this was a real person unless there was a disclaimer that the FMC was bipolar and off her meds. And I say this, because one of my best friends acts the same way when she’s unmedicated since she’s bipolar.
As a whole, the series is good. The plot got too deep with info and into the negative aspects midway through, and I feel the author “defaults” into sex to lighten things up… but it didn’t do the trick. Early on, there was fun and banter… then it fell off a cliff.
Is there a way to have focus groups on series’ in the works? Bc this would have greatly benefitted. Or if the editors or the multitude of people that read it before publication got their head out of their butts to voice constructive feedback, and the leftovers either got come balls to say “slow down” or “quit forcing your panic attack on the FMC for 2 books!”
It also kind fucks me up thinking the FMC was 17 up until 1/2 way through the 4th book and…. I don’t…. I just…. It’s not even edgy… it’s not trashy either… it’s uncomfortable and not in the “profound” way… just in the way of being forced to listen to a creepy uncle say things that would imply they should be not allowed within 600ft of a school.
I wasn’t sure how to articulate what I meant without a lengthy explanation, so if you read this far, I appreciate your time and consideration.
I’m hesitant to read anymore from this author because if I had to listen to another series or book by this author consistent with 90% inner monologue and 10% plot, on repeat…. I’d rather read the dictionary… un caffeinated… in paperback… from 1975. It’d be less aggravating.
”Colton doesn’t relent, continuing his torture on my body until my every nerve is completely numb.” ————————————————————————- I cannot believe the twists and turns this novel has taken me on, I am seriously stressed after finishing this series. As a series overall, I loved it all; however, the final book wasn’t my absolute favourite. There were a tad too many plot twists that I think made my love for the book lessen. It was just too much for me, in a short period of time. That’s not to say that the twists were not insanely good, and definitely made everything come together. Luckily, Sheridan Anne’s writing is really well done, as is her plotting because everything tied up really well. As much as I didn’t love love this final book, I do love this series as a whole because it had a lot of unexpected turns and events that made it a book I couldn’t put down! ————————————————————————- All of these characters really grew on me, especially Colton. I think he was by far my favourite part of this entire series. He had so much growth and perfection. As for Oceania, I liked how her story went, but she made some really dumbass decisions to get there. Moreover, is the touch on every character that we meet in this series. They were all special and had their own touches on the series, and I loved how everything turned out for them, especially Nic👀 ————————————————————————- I dont know if this is a major spoiler, but the last epilogue didn’t touch on Colton and Oceania, which was really disappointing to me. I wanted to see more of their live, yet was left kinda disappointed. ————————————————————————- Although this novel wasn’t my absolutely favourite in the series, I still want to give it 4 STARS because it was sexy as hell, had me glued to the page, and had a hero who was SO worth it!✨ Steam rating: 4.5🔥
Good golly miss molly! Woooowww what a rollercoaster riveting unpredictable ride this series was wooo hooo, I binged read 4 books in 2 days and the sleep deprivation and slacking of Adulting was worth it!. You know how you’re reading a fabulous series and then when you get to the final book / ending and it sucks balls? Well not in this case. This final book yasssss it was great and all kinds of satisfying and yes emotional too (someone was definitely chopping onions up in here) but I read the last sentence with a huge grin on my face.
Also IDC if this makes me a cougar but Ohhhh insert swoony/ heart eyes gifs, Colton Carrington can rock my world anytime!! I fucking love him!!! Yes I’m the beginning he was hot and he was cold and he bullied her but when he realised she’s the one, oh wow the way he loved and looked after her was EVERYTHING!!! He’s maybe 18 but he’s all man!! Ocean is a lucky lucky woman!! I love all four widows and Colton’s friends but Colton just earned a place in my book boyfriends list!!
I’m so going to miss my girl valiant & awesome Ocean and studly sexy bad boy moneybags Colton with the wonderful casts of supporting characters but something tells me that I’ll be seeing them or some of them one day soon. I hope.
One massive book hangover coming up! Ice cream and Netflix to the rescue.
I want to sit down and cry! Not because this bad, but just the opposite...IT WAS FANTASTIC! I am going to miss being in these peoples lives so much!
Man, I wouldn’t want to be in Ocean’s shoes at the beginning. All I could think of is what the heck did you do? I really enjoyed being able to see her thought process and realize and admit mistakes she had made and know what she can’t change it, but how to move forward.
Colton, Colton. Amazing how you can go from hating him in book 1 (appearing to be a rich, pompous, self entitled you know what to one of the most amazing, considerate protective men. This book has me 😍😍😍.
And Nic. Nic, Nic, Nic. Loved him in book 1 and 2, book 3 had me questioning my feelings for him and book 4 just threw me for a loop lol.
The ending could not have been done better. What happens is the exact way things were meant to happen (although I don’t know if I fully was on board lol), but the end I had cried twice and almost couldn’t breathe. Y’all need to go ahead and get wine, liquor, etc, tissues and chocolate/ice cream ready. Your emotions will need them
3.5 ⭐️ Gaaahhh, so many mixed emotions over this book.
The second half was absolutely fantastic, emotional, gripping and how things tied up between the Wolves and the Widows was really well done. I’m glad Nic got the ending he did and I’m looking forward to his story!
Both Ocean and Colton’s character really changed in this book in comparison with the others and I did not love it... Ocean became whiny and made some really stupid choices, and Colton just became lovesick which changed his whole protective vibes as such.
*spoiler* I found it quite unbelievable that Ocean still managed to conceive and carry a child despite being bashed, almost to death, the stress and physical and emotional abuse her body went through with her also having a condition that already made it hard for her to get pregnant? I am super glad on her decision with the baby in the end; showed a lot of strength.
Overall, the series was brutal, violent, emotion and addictive, I was just a little let down by the first half of this book and my fave characters’ development letting me down.
This book, is epic. If you haven’t started Sheridan Anne’s most recent series Rejects Paradise then I recommend you binge these.
Rejects Paradise follows Oceana and her mum Maria to their new life away from Breakers Flats and to a new job, home, school and life in Bellevue Springs. Book four, the final instalment in the series, Ride Or Die has Oceana learning some hard truths, she has to overcome so many things in order to have the future that she now imagines for herself. There’s just a small issue with some warring gangs, an asshole ex and a whole new ‘family’ with expectations. We finally get the ending that was needed. And in true Sheridan Anne style there were some wicked ups and downs to get over first.
This series has become my firm favourite!! I love that it’s a little darker than any of her other series. The character development over these books was fantastic and Oceana is a badass. I love a strong FMC ❤️ and in this book you can guarantee that Ocean will always get back up!!
What is there not to say about this book, it was so good from the beginning. I was hooked reading this last book from Chapter 1 when I saw that it was Nic. There was so much that needed to be resolved in the final book in this series. First thing first… Ocean is a badass bitch. We have known that she is a badass but this book just clarify that she is with the Wolves. All the loose ends get tied up in this book and really had my emotions going in the end. I laughed and then I cried reading this book. I just love Ocean and Colton together, they really are end game. Also what can I say about the boys Eli, Kai, and Sebastian what isn’t there to love about them. I don’t want to spoil anything about this book but the epilogue really got me, I want more and I don’t want to wait to find out. I also 100% recommend this book, this series and any Sheridan Anne book. There hasn’t been a book of hers that I didn’t fall involve with from the very start.
I'm sad!!! This epic series has ended... Oceania was last seen literally entering the wolves den, but with Nic losing the plot, and Colton trying to get her back... will O be ok?
My heart was hurt a few times in this book as O, who is really aged beyond her years has such tough decisions to make and more than 1 person to look out for. I did like that Colton stood by O throughout everything, but many O should really have used her head before rushing in with decisions without really thinking them through... that could of possibly avoided all the extra fanfare between the clubs.
If you havent read this book, start at book 1 and devour all in one sitting!!! The characters develop over the books and be ready for an ending to keep you thinking!!!!
Sheridan, you amaze me with all your books! Your characters are easy to fall in love with and your stories are always amazing!!
Wow. This final book was epic in so many ways. This story continued to take my emotions on an intense Rollercoaster ride. I wasn't a fan of Colton in the beginning of this series, but he slowly grew on me and he truly shined in this final book. There is one particular swoon worthy moment that really showed how much her cares for Oceania and his willingness to do what ever he can to make her happy. I cried, I laughed, I sighed, and I cursed. After the events unfolded in book 3 I was screaming at Sheridan to fix it and she didn't let me down in book 4.
Enjoy each minute reading this insane drama filled series, at least it makes regular life in 2020 seem not so bad 🤣. If you haven't started this series yet head over to Amazon and grab book 1, TOUGH SH*T. Keep in mind this series does contain darker subject matters/triggers.
