Rate this book
Naithon Adranokov is forced at a young age into the mobster life by his father. When his father deceives him and kicks him out, Naithon joins a violent street gang then ends up in prison. After another family betrayal and a terrible incident that cripples him, Naithon becomes the most dangerous man in town and ruthlessly builds his own empire. There is only one thing that truly draws the interest of the cold, cruel man Naithon has become, Kiri Delducci. He’s only caught sight of her briefly over the years because her father hid her away in a private girls’ school in Italy to keep her out of her brother Duce’s perverted clutches. Naithon grows more and more enamored with Kiri each time he lays eyes on the stunning young woman. He decides he will trick her father, and wrest Kiri from the prearranged marriage to a much older and sadistic husband, and keep her captive for himself. He sheds his deepest secret and takes her. Kiri has artistic talents she planned to make a career of when her father drags her home from her university and puts her to work in his rum distillery until her dreaded nuptials. She loathes and fears her future husband whom her father is coercing her to marry. But, she is even more terrified of Naithon Adranokov. Nevertheless, Naithon has laid claim to her and refuses to let her go. Someone is killing the Delducci and Adranokov people, placing blame on each other for the murders. Someone is instigating a war between the two factions as well as neatly eliminating them. When the killer comes after Kiri, Naithon goes after him with guns blazing. Naithon wants a happily ever after with Kiri. Will he save Kiri from the vile monster who snatches her for his own sick compulsions before it’s too late?

I like my dark books but one thing I can’t handle is children as sex victims. That stuff truly makes my stomach churn so for that reason I really disliked this heroine. She knew her brothers were sick pedophiles and in fact her oldest brother was infatuated with her from the time she was only 3/4 years old but when she heard they died she mourned them! Her dad was willing to sell her to a depraved old man and yet when he was hurt she went running and even told him she still loved him! These men in her life were sick and nasty people and she should have been disgusted by them but she loved them and was loyal to them. Even with her nasty sister this weak heroine still showed feelings for her. Seriously I was gobsmacked with this h’s misguided sense of love and loyalty to her family who were the most disgusting vile creatures known to the human world. What does it say about her that she knows how sick they are and she still goes running to them? I want my female characters to be good and kind but not towards nasty pedophiles! She was weak and she was stupid she risked her life and others so many times and for what? To go back to a family of sicko’s! This heroine’s character spoilt the book for me because actually the plot itself was good even if it want very polished.

Ok to read

This is my first book by this author, her writing style is very unorthodox, yet she is willing to write about sensitive issues that affect us as individuals.

If you can like to read about sensitive issues with an overbearing Alpha male with a childish heroine then this book is for you.

Overall the plot of the story wasn't bad but i wish the heroine was a lot stronger in personality.

Amazing!!!

The book was absolutely amazing. I couldn't put it down. I thoroughly enjoyed Kiri and Naithon's story. The ending truly had a great ending. Naithon truly has a soft side. I would love if Maz has a story.

I am back am back and forth on this book. Though the plot was a good one some of the characters leave a lot to be desired. "Spoiler alert" The story deals with some pedophilia and child sex trafficking's . The Alpha is seriously messed up, from a traumatic childhood/teenage and is a cold hearted/blooded mob boss ... His one tender spot is for Kiri, a Mafia princess of a rival fraction. He is so enamored of her that she ends up leading him around by the nose for most of the book. I was surprised at the lack of steamy scenes as almost nil, several times I almost just didn't finish it because the way the Alpha acted was so unbelievable to me as well as Kiri's actions, her bravado and stubbornness. I really can't recommend one way or the other ... Sherrie
