Decoding ‘The God’ and ‘The Religion’ is written in a format that is easy to read and understand, whether the reader is a 13-15 years old or 50-60 years old, a 10th grader or a post graduate. It caters to everyone in a simplified manner with the idea of not asking one to ‘believe’, but to understand, feel, introspect, explore and know the answers. Each line is written matter-of-factly, which will make readers feel like this is something they already knew, they already had inside them and will hopefully encourage you to look within.Evolution plays a huge part here in this era, so to help you enjoy the experience of your individual journey into the Divinity, I do not need to make you wear the coloured spectacles of belief and dogmas. In today’s time, there already is so much information, and awareness, so many studies on physical and medical education, which are progressing every passing day. Social and judicial systems also get upgraded in most democratic countries, so I do not need to write a lot about it; that would be like rewriting an existing software as religion in a book or this series of books. All I need to do here is remove the coloured lens of belief and dogma, and open all eyes to understanding, giving accessibility to upgrades and updates of existing software, with the right intent, taking the human brain as the hardware.I have refrained from taking the name of any religion, sect or belief, or of their respective preachers, so that opportunists do not mislead people from the right context and intent of this book for the sake of their greed, lust, personal gains and agendas.
Religion has a very different meaning for everybody. But the origin is the same. All of them worship a God, a different God but the same entity. The book brings together the logic of science, mythology, spirituality, and the dharma, all on the same pages. All of the basic foundations are worked off with the author's opinion on the same.
The book is a short ten chapter read that has different sub-write-ups to explain the well-researched basics. Starting from the universe to the festivals and their origins, this volume is a fairly written piece which talks about everything in the bare minimum words.
Overall, it is a good read that won't bore the reader and keep his mind intrigued and curious overtime.
Akhil read your book very interesting perspective and informative from the Hindu and vedic point of view . Congratulations on a brilliant initial effort and thought invoking first attempt opening the window to many more books and insights
'Spirituality' is something that’s often debated & commonly misunderstood. Many people confuse it with 'Religion.' It's hard to tell apart, however, there are some pretty defined differences between the two. Religion is a specific set of organised beliefs & practices, usually shared by a community or group. Spirituality is more of an individual practice & has to do with having a sense of peace & purpose. It also relates to the process of developing beliefs around the meaning of life & connection with others.
Many people also see spirituality as a great way of seeking solace & peace in their life. It can often be practiced alongside things like yoga, which ultimately focus on stress relief & release of emotions. It is also used as a way of gaining perspective, recognising that our role in life has a greater value than just what we do every day. It can separate a person from dependence on material things & establish their own identity relying on a greater purpose.
Similarly, 'Religion' & 'Mythology' differ in scope but have few overlapping aspects. Generally, mythology is considered one component or aspect of religion. Religion expresses the broader version: besides mythological aspects, it includes aspects of ritual, morality, theology, & mystical experiences.
Mythology is the study & interpretation of often sacred tales or fables of a culture known as myths or the collection of such stories which deal with various aspects of the human condition: good & evil. The idea that the principal function of a myth is to provide a justification for a ritual was adopted without any great attempt to make a case for it.
Spirituality involves the recognition of a feeling or sense or belief that there is something greater than myself, something more to being human than sensory experience, & that the greater whole of which we are part is cosmic or divine in nature. An opening of the heart is an essential aspect of true spirituality.
The book signifies the representation of mythology with various other components of life like religion, ideologies, holy books, spirits, rituals, customs, festivals & means of worship. It even engulfs with certain elements of science which I felt was quite familiar with my thinking process. Cover has been designed beautifully crafted with cosmos. Title is apt & significantly matches with the contrasting content. It's a very short read & can be finished very quickly. Language is simple. Narration is normal. Writing style is also okay.
Decoding the god and the religion Akhil Rajendra From the introduction to basic things about mythology to expressing the opinion of the author very clearly and with interesting style this book makes me love it. The cover design might not be that amazing but the content of the book made like it very much. The book is a short read but the content and the comprehension done by the author are worth praising. It is not 100% true mythology, and neither it is fictional mythology but a representation of the mythology. The content is not altered much and is presented in the book as it signifies. The purpose or the meaning of the basic cultures and many other elements that are there in the book are not altered. The opinion and the true content are very much easily distinguished and that makes the reading very clear. I like the book as it serves as an amazing book for the introductory mythology reading. If you want to get started with mythology then this book is a nice one to start with.
The length of the book is short, if it is for the readers to not get bored for excessive details then also I think a little bit of more research and content in the book on the topics would have done wonderful work to make this book an amazing read likely for beginners and intermediate readers of mythology.
This book was very fascinating. As it was very short, I finished it in a single sitting. There are ten chapters and each one is well researched, has roots in the fundamental knowledge with deep understanding of newer progressive methods. I liked how at the end of the book, the last chapter is dedicated to some famous festivals we celebrate and the information on how they've come into existence. I liked the cover, it is very attractive. Article 6.2 on prayers and how they are a form of energy coming from vibrations, is something I knew, but seeing such stuff written on paper, seemed wonderful. The writing style is good. I liked the narration. The language used is lucid and can be easily read by a beginner. It is a spiritual book, so if you're reading it, it doesn't necessarily mean you have to agree with the author on all levels, but I can assure you, the idea put behind the book, how each religion should transform as humanity is evolving, is pretty fascinating. We all know this inherently in our minds and souls, but this book has executed on paper, formal- ising it.
I finished reading this a few days ago. Well i quite enjoyed reading it.It was an informative read. There are ten chapters and each focus on a particular topic. I liked the thoughts the author has shared in this book- I found them to be thought provoking. Also, being a spiritual book you don't have to agree with all the ideas of the author.
I found most of the the information and topics discussed in the book to be pretty basic, I did like some parts of the book. Also, I didn't like the format of the book, it could have been presented in a more intetesting way. Also I liked the message behind the author has tried to convey through this book. I agree with him that as humanity is changing and evolving; religions also need upgradations and updates.
Overall; this was an average read- nothing unique and similar to the other spiritual self help books. I would definitely recommend this- if you are new to self help books and want to read about religion, god and univer
