“Those James boys are nothing but trouble!” It’s literally the first thing anyone says to me the second I step foot in Saddle Creek. ...I should’ve listened.
My job for a development company has me in the middle of nowhere Montana trying to secure a land deal. There’s just a few teeny problems.
One: the ornery, foul-mouthed, cocky rancher who owns the place would rather eat horse turd than sell.
The second? Tucker James is hotter than hell, tempting as sin, and all sorts of irresistible.
And the third? A freak storm has me stranded at his ranch and out of cell service, with a tree-branch turning my car into a pancake. Now I’m up Tucker James creek without a paddle.
I’m white wine and Louboutins. He’s whiskey and spurs. Plucky city girl meets rugged country boy? This is no movie “meet-cute”. This is a meet-disaster.
Trying to buy his ranch might be a mistake. Sharing his bed most certainly is. But falling for the gorgeous rancher who wants nothing more than a wife and a family? Well that’d be the biggest mistake of all.
Good thing there’s no way I’m falling for Tucker James.
After all, those James boys are nothing but trouble…
A reader first and foremost, Jagger Cole cut his romance writing teeth penning various fan-fiction stories years ago. After deciding to hang up his writing boots, Jagger worked in advertising pretending to be Don Draper. It worked enough to convince a woman way out of his league to marry him, though, which is a total win.
Now, Dad to two little princesses and King to a Queen, Jagger is thrilled to be back at the keyboard.
When not writing or reading romance books, he can be found woodworking, enjoying good whiskey, and grilling outside—rain or shine.
This was a steamy romance which starts to hate turned to love. Tucker and Rose have an instant connection, but Tucker is hesitant to get involved with the city girl who works for a corporation he refuses to sell his land too.
Steamy romance, alpha cowboy hero and a great heroine.
This is a story of Tucker, a rancher, and Rose, NY work who pays a visit to Tucker’s ranch to buy it. They start off as enemies, Tucker all the time calls her the city girl, that she has no idea about a country life. Of course Rose comes back at him every time he pisses her off. But a storm makes them stay together at his ranch and in no time, their hate becomes passion and they can’t take their hands off each other.
This book was a refreshing one for me, it was a light, joyful read.
I received this book in exchange for an honest review.
Another spectacular short novella by Jagger Cole. From the amount I've read by Cole, I can tell you to always expect short, OTT sexy reads.
If you like books by Alexa Riley and Jessa Kane then he's the guy for you.
Roping His Bride follows James and Rose. Rose is on a mission to try and buy James ranch off him. He's not up for any discussions and tries his best to get rid of her.
However when a storm comes suddenly and caused Rose to be deserted at the ranch with no way to go home for at least a few days, they end up having to room together.
The animosity turns to high heat tension fast and well it goes OTT from there!
If you're in the mood for something quick and fun and you don't mind people falling a little quick than snag this baby right up!
Thank you, an ARC was provided in exchange for an honest review.
Love the image of a "miss priss" in stilettos taking on the "country hick" after stepping in the sh**. A funny story with some more light-hearted actions.
Tucker’s ranch is not for sale but that doesn’t stop Rose and her boss from trying to steal it. There’s just one catch, Rose didn’t anticipate how hot Tucker would be when she went in for negotiations. Can Tucker turn this city girl into a country girl? What will happen to Rose and her job when he doesn’t sell? I hope Tucker’s brothers get their shot at love.
Rose is a city girl working for a land developer when her job takes her to rural Montana and Tucker James. Rose's job is to get Tucker's land no matter what Tucker says or thinks about it. Tucker's job is to teach this city girl a lesson in manners and that though they're from a small town they're not yokels or hicks or whatever else city people think of them. To complicate matters Tucker and Rose are attracted to each other on sight. Will love win or will Rose go back to the city and continue taking people's legacies? You have to read this book and find out for yourself as I don't want to spoil it for anyone else. I would definitely recommend this book if you're a fan of OTT alpha heroes and the lengths that they'll go to to get what they want. I can't wait to read the next book in this series. I was given an ARC in exchange for my honest opinion of this book.
Rose drives up To Tucker's ranch with the intention of buying the ranch..but she didn't expect this man..neither she expected the storm that kept them on the ranch together.. he might hate what she represents but he wouldn't mind getting the girl.. what do you thinks happens? ;) It's a quick and steamy story and I enjoyed it!
Overall quality of writing was ok. The story had real potential but fell short. Intimacy scenes weren't over the top, but I couldn't feel the love. The best part was at the airport! The ending started hit and heavy and....... just ends on a happy note. Real potential but just falls short 🧐
Tucker and Rose are like oil and water, at first. Her attempts to wheedle him into selling his ranch are futile from the start. Her getting stranded on the ranch sets the stage for an intimacy unlike any they have ever known. Hot as the blazing sun, these two are a match made in Montana.
Roping His Bride is about a couple who are complete opposites. Tucker is handsome and sexy. He is working hard to keep the legacy of his father going in the ranch that he now owns. But when a beautiful and determined woman wants to buy his ranch, it is all-out war. A freak storm will keep her on his ranch longer than he wants and Rose now wants more out of life than what she has. Can she have the cowboy and the happily ever after. If opposites attract, then these two are combustible.
Tucker and Rose’s story is simply sexy and fun. Cowboys aren’t usually my thing but Tucker is a hard one not to fall for. He bucked up and took on his family ranch after his father passed allowing his brothers to have their own lives. He has no time for frill or impressing women but when Rose shows up on his property to try and bargain a deal for the development company that she works for a sudden storm leaves her stuck. These two appear to mix as well as water and oil at first yet given a little time, playful banter and a country boy hot tub, flames ignite.
Roping His Bride has everything you need in a novella. A surly but sweet, hardworking cowboy and a sarcastic, city girl with a side of damsel in distress makes for a solid storyline that has just the right amount of heat. Hopefully we’ll be hearing from the other two James’ brothers as well. I’m intrigued with the whole family! At this point I feel like Jagger can turn out a good story with any setting. He continues to produce solid material and I don’t have to question whether or not I’ll enjoy it, I just one click and read.
I received this free eARC novel from the author and Ardent Prose PR. This is my honest review.
I have been devouring Jagger Cole's novels since the beginning, and I gotta say, this is one of my top favorites. I always like a good cowboy romance and I love how Tucker and Rose first meet and clash instantly, though the attraction is off the charts between them.
Tucker's life sounds fascinating and amazing to me, and I think it also intrigued Rose to, the second she got there. Montana versus New York is like a completely new world, and I'm sure she was tempted to love Montana the longer she was there.
Jagger Cole always has an instant-love connection, which for me isn't a reality, but it is definitely something I love to read.
I'm really glad I got the chance to read this book early and I look forward to more (hopefully?) about Tucker's brothers?! :)
This book brings us Tucker James and Rose. Rose comes to the Ranch in hopes that Tucker will sell, so that her boss can put up tourist locations. Tucker isn't interested in selling at all, but Rose is very determined. Tucker immediately gets the wrong impression of Rose as a city girl (which she is), and is irritated with her. A storm approaches, and a tree falls on Rose's car, so she is trapped with Tucker. The more time they spend together, things become heated between them. However, when Tucker overhears a phone conversation, he feels like he has been kicked in the gut and tells Rose to leave. It's a good thing that his brothers talk him down, and he knows that maybe he was wrong in his assumptions about Rose. The ending is fantastic. I highly recommend this book. I did receive an arc for an honest review.
I love Jagger Cole I try to read all this authors stories they are really that good. Roping His Bride is no different. Tucker James is a hard cowboy who is running the ranch like generations before him. His two brother's have their own thing going on, but this is his. When a fancy car and women with legs for days shows up trying to buy him off well she's about to get more than she bargained for. Rose was hired to do a job help ranchers sell for her company. She get's more than she bargained for when she meets Tucker. Not only his he cocky, but he's sexy as well. He also refuses to sell. When a freak storm grounds them together things are about to spark. Reality will hit and no one knows who will be standing when it does. I love me some Cowboys and this book is no different.
Well giddy up, Cowboy!! From the moment this book began I was in absolute love. And Rose was in poop. Horse poop. Not starting off on the right foot, she doesn’t make the greatest first impression with Tucker James. Then a hellacious storm gets her stuck with the brooding cowboy. Whatever will they do to pass the time?
This book was so much fun and such a fantastic read. I loved everything about it. Especially the characters. Tucker and Rose were super awesome and had immediate chemistry. I even adored Tucker’s brothers. I am hoping they get a book soon.
Cole wrangles my heart with every one of his books and ROPING HIS BRIDE has been my favorite so far. 5 Stars!
Cole is the master of sexy mini-novels. Quickie beach reads that are so steamy they will have you gasping for breath and wanting a big drink of water. As Cole matures as a writer, his books become more about the story and less about the sex and I’m loving every one. Roping His Bride is a very hot little story about meeting your happily-ever-after out in the wilds of Montana. I read this book in a few hours and now I’m left waiting for Cole’s next one because I just can’t get enough of his writing.
Jagger Cole only writes five-star stories that are ultra sexy and full of thrilling action. When Rose visits his ranch 40 miles in on a dirt road in Montana, Tucker knows she represents an underhanded developer wanting to steal his ranch. Before he can get rid of the beautiful blonde, a wild storm blows through crashing a tree on Rose's new Mercedes. The storm washes out the roads stranding her with the handsome cowboy. So this is an insta-love the enemy book and we get to enjoy the fighting and the falling in love for the next few days. A fun read!
Jagger Cole is quite literally my escape. The over the top chemistry and instant attraction aren't realistic but it's so much fun, especially with the humor, angst, and smexy that's thrown in. This time we witness Miss New York meet Mr. Montana and omg, sparks fly both from attitude and attraction. If you've read the blurb then you know Rose has encountered Murphy's law while trying to convince Tucker to sell his ranch. This is in the top ten of Jagger Cole's books for me and a must-read in my opinion.
This was a great insta-love opposites attract book. I loved Tucker and Rose together. The connection was instant and the chemistry was through the roof. These two tried to stay away from each other but the body and the heart want they want. I loved the banter that Tucker and Rose but also the lip that Rose gives Russ, Tuckers older brother. I really enjoyed this book and I can't wait to see what comes out next.
I received a free e-book copy of this book and am voluntarily leaving an honest review.
This was a decent, quick-read book, but not my favorite from Jagger Cole. His books are usually much better at character development in such a short story. This one just felt lacking in that area. I felt that several of the sexual scenes were over-described. But my real issues with this book were the terrible grammar and spelling mistakes! There are many other cowboy/city girl stories out there, read those!
