A must have for all budding biologists or for anyone with an appreciation for the weird and wonderful.

In Debra Shumaker’s engaging debut, a fun rhyming text accompanies a string of awesome facts and a handy dandy funk-o-meter beside every fish. Sophisticated enough for young ichthyophiles while still being accessible to the average kid, this book would make a great addition to any school or public library and has boundless potential as part of an elementary science curriculum. Definitely recommend.

A wonderfully entertaining and educational combo with enough info to keep kids entertained for ages. The illustrations are incredible, and the freaky ratings are so fun! The rhyme is great to read aloud and there's lots of info for the non-fiction fans who want every detail about these FREAKY, FUNKY FISH. A must-have for all inquisitive readers!
