Some friendships are destined to go down in history. Frog and Toad; Elephant and Piggy; Fox and Chick. This easy to read series focuses on the exploits of a very patient fox and his enthusiastic friend Chick. In this third installment of the series, Chick once again has a few brilliant ideas, a sleepover, a discovered hammer, and a surprise birthday party. Will his friends come through for him or has he gone too far this time?
These simple stories with their subtle pictures offer a humorous look into the antics of different personalities and remind readers that you don't have to be like someone to love and respect them. I'll definitely be adding this series to my classroom library.

Fox & Chick are back! In these three connected stories, Chick decides a sleepover with Fox would be a great idea. (Fox, as usual, isn't quite so certain.) Then in the second story Chick finds - and then loses - their hammer. And in the last story, Fox throws a surprise birthday party for Chick. After Chick requests one. But Fox is the one that ends up being a bit surprised.
I love Sergio Ruzzier's illustrations. The fox and chick books are delightfully silly and beautiful at the same time. They are gentle stories that make me smile.

The third installment in the Fox + Chick series has the same whimsical humor, simple vocabulary, large, sanserif font and comic layout. Watercolor illustrations in soft clear colors are both cheerful and soothing. The format is larger than the typical beginning reader making this suitable for both readers and listeners. The three short stories showcase Fox's kind forbearance and Chick's sweet, demanding and impetuous nature.

In this collection of graphic novel/picture book short stories friends Fox and Chick have a sleepover, Chick finds and loses a hammer, and Chick asks Fox to host a surprise birthday party that afternoon.

I don't know how Fox survives being Chick's straightman. The last story did actually make me laugh out loud. The first story and second story are a bit ironic. Hand this to kids who love silly stories and goofball characters who do ridiculous things.

Chick goes to Fox's house late at night and decides they are having a sleepover. He makes Fox check everywhere for kangaroos. Then chick goes back home to get his stuffy... Chick finds his hammer but then misplaces it when he is looking for a nail to hammer into the random wall that has appeared outside. Chick gets faxed to throw him a surprise birthday party. filled with humorous moments and lovely illustrations.

I love Sergio Ruzzier's art and work. Like. Love it. He could illustrate a book about optometry or lacrosse (two things I know or care nothing about) and I would buy it and read it and love it. Fortunately, he makes funny short stories about a fox and a chick instead.

Fox and Chick are best friends! In this book they have a sleepover, look for Chick’s hammer, and Fox throws a “surprise” party for Chick!

This super cute book reads like a beginner graphic novel, and was loved as a read-aloud by my 4 year old!

These stories had me and my kids (7 & 5yo) laughing out loud the whole time. This Sergio Ruzzier has his humor dialed in perfectly to suit the 3 of us. I will be getting the rest of the Fox and Chick books.

I adore this series. Fox and Chick are simply delightful. They make a very fun duo: Fox is the mature, rational one, while Chick is immature, unpredictable, and chaotic. I adore the fact that Fox is entirely patient and that the jokes are simple and easy to appreciate by younger readers.

Sorry, I just don't understand the appeal. The first was marvelous, the next two, eh. Fox is a better person than I am. I'm more like Squidward. One more in the series and done.
