I thoroughly enjoyed this book, as much as the first in the series. Very few books have a way of capturing me through the second and third books, but this series is one that did. Sure, the book is written for the 10 to 12 horse crazy girl. Sure, the characters aren't super well developed and its a plot based rather than a character based book, but I'm starting to determine that these books, where the plot is more important than the characters acting in it (mostly because in those circumstances you can imagine yourself as the main character).
The horse scenes are real and pivotal in the book. There are lots of good points in the book, and only a few little horsey points to criticize. But her, it was well worth the time I spent reading it, and am looking forward to more in the series.
